Does Hiro address hardware issues or shutdowns or does he just let them happen without warning? moot has been inconsistent about them in the past as well. We all just figured shit happened and don't worry about it. I sure don't give a fuck.
I always thought the "they do it for free" meme was rather pathetic. Yeah, god forbid there are people willing to help make this site not a complete shithole. You sure look cool for insulting them over the internet, keyboard warrior.
I'm sure I'll get called a mod in disguise or something for saying this, because obviously people can't possibly disagree with your personal opinion. For the record I'm not, but even if I was one, so fucking what? Guarantee I'm having a better time than you and your worthless, empty life.
>You sure look cool for insulting them over the internet, keyboard warrior. >Guarantee I'm having a better time than you and your worthless, empty life.
Anyway, the meme is also about the fact that they treat it like a real job and thus enforce a general no fun allowed mentality. It has links to the fact that they are willing to spend their free time moderating an imageboard.
People are nothing more than a game to me. spend months at a time strategically planting ideas into people's heads, and playing mind games get bored of someone after a while and move on to my next victim but that's okay because there's literally billions of you dirty little roaches to fuck around with. Some people actually believe I care about them as people but the truth is I only use them for my personal advantage and entertainment.
Why is it that people on 4chan who hate things seem to be the most obsessed with them?
No one talks about reddit more than people who are always telling others to "go back to reddit." No one browses feminist tumblr blogs more than the bigots on /pol/. No one outside of /mlp/ talks about ponies more than barneyfag.
There's things I don't like, but I don't spend my time being angry about them. It's much more constructive and healthier to spend my time on the things I do enjoy.
I worry that these people are going to give... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
You have places you can go where you know you can interact with people you enjoy interacting with in a way you enjoy interacting with them. It's hard to imagine that others might not have that luxury.
However, some autists come to 4chan and find that this is the one place they've ever found in probably their entire lives that comes close to fulfilling that need but always seems to be teetering on the edge of destruction. So they fight to defend how they think this place... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Let's be realistic. All of the things wrong with /v/ are all symptoms of one central ailment, and that's too much traffic. Likewise its traffic is so high because of how popular videogames in general are now.
/vg/ has its own set of problems, primarily that having a board made entirely out of recurring threads leads those threads to get exhausted with discussion fatigue, the development of insular communities, and off topic personal blog circle jerks. But at least most of the time provided that the games themselves are active most discussion is on topic and... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>397416 People become mods and janitors to delete threads they don't like. They have next to no accountability for anything they do. They don't give a shit about rules or the site, it's just a power trip.
>>397401 Here's the problem, OP. The Japanese ethos was warped forever by the atomic bomb attacks during WWII. Millions of Japanese men, women, and children were forced to come to terms with the idea of an overwhelmingly powerful entity outside of their control that could wipe them out of existence without warning using unspeakable weapons. They did this, for the most part, by exploring the idea in fiction. Godzilla is one example. Anime is another. If the United States of America were to deploy nuclear weaponry against... >>397401 I see weebs being opposed to dumb ideas like /ag/ or /ar/, but I'm pretty sure most people who are opposed to new boards on principle are just Reddit and 8gag rejects who don't want any new boards because for some retarded reason they believe that somehow makes 4chan more similar to their former home.
>i suggest that we split x board as its the only way to fix x board because i said so and it lacks decent moderation >i suggest we do x as well >and add y too >what >WHAT DO YOU MEAN FIX MODERATION YOU KEK THE MODS ARE KEKS AND YOU ARE A KEK >HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THE IDEA OF THE MODS DOING THEIR JOB THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE BOARD IS THROUGH SPLITTING IT EVEN IF ITS A INCREDIBLY UNMODERATED BOARD Comment too long. The mods are shit, because they do whatever they want and never have to answer for it to the users. They can just decide they don't like a show/video game and delete all threads about it without following or updating rules, just playing around like it's their little fiefdom, and it's been this way for yesrs.
If you liked something cool like anime or bestiality, this wouldn't be a problem. But no, for a hobby you had to pick video games, FUCKING VIDEO GAMES, the domain of children, and try to make it your own. How can you complain when children play games designed for them? If anything, they should be complaining about YOU trying to appropriate their activities. So maybe feel a little gratitude? And grow up. Please.
>implying religion hasn't made a huge mark on history >implying philosophy isn't the foundation of all humanities >implying nazism isn't the de facto philosophy of 4chan >fuck /ic/ >just post in those 20% you like then >and if you don't see a thread you like, start one
Give us back our /got/. We were never the problem. It was the non /got/ posters who spammed up the front page constantly that were. You guys are allowing 70+ Star Wars threads on the board. Let us have our shithole back. Please?
