In order to help Hiro address issues easily, here is a list of the current major board issues, according to /qa/:
>/tv/ >A lack of consistent moderation >topic favoritism beyond the stated board rules, including allowing porn and meme threads to go unchecked while banning any mention of actresses
>/v/ >a lack of consistent moderation >disagreement over what is and isn't board related, resulting in calls for a board split. The current suggestions are for a /vc/- /v/ Culture and /vi/ - Videogame Industry board.
>/d/, /aco/ >The creation of /aco/ had negative effects on /d/'s community and board culture, slowing the board to a crawl and leaving many topics untouchable by either board >Futa has overtaken /d/ completely, taking up half or more of the threads. Additionally, other threads, even those that specifically request "no futa," will still be flooded by futa on both boards.
/co/ >the increased popularity of superheroes in recent years has created a glut of superhero threads on /co/. The creation of a separate thread that allows live-action, animated, and comic book superhero content has been requested.
>/pol/ >the addition of flags to the board was a punitive measure by moot applied for personal reasons, and negatively affects communication on the board by introducing regional tribalism.
>/asp/ >After being moved to /asp/, wrestling has overtaken the entire board
>Global >the feedback form receives few public solutions to issues that are not software related, even though it supposedly applies to board issues as well. Issues of board content are often dealt with directly through hostile posts and spam, resulting in this slow, indirect method of feedback seeing no use. It provides users with little satisfaction or confirmation of its usefulness. >Many feel the moderation teams have become too comfortable in their positions and feel possessive towards the boards they frequently moderate, removing control of the community from the users.
Why is 4chan broken for me? I can make threads in the catalog but can't reply to anything, including my own threads. Also for some reason everything moves to the left once I enter a thread. For larger threads, replies don't show up as replies between individuals, and when I click an image, instead of enlarging in the thread, it opens in a new tab. I also can't click to automatically update. Is there a way to fix this? What's going on?
>>393907 First of all why the fuck are you using adblock? Use ublock origin. Second, you're blocking scripts on 4chan so obviously it works like shit. Try disabling it or installing ublock origin, which will block ads without breaking 4chan.
>>393928 The problem isn't adblock. 4chan runs fine with adblock on another computer. Also I did this anyways and it didn't work. Adblock is removed and ublock origin is installed but I'm still getting the same problem.
rules >get your favorite liquor and a shotglass >click a thread. >count the number of posts before the first mention of reddit is made. take a shot for each post before that >take a shot everytime you see the word reddit >take a shot anytime there is a thread claming a boards been invaded by sjw's >take a shot when someone says to delete /pol/
I understand that idiots like to spam their political agenda where it is both annoying and inappropriate (i.e.against the rules of the board).
I don't think that anyone can redeem the /pol/ users that actively try to start flamewars or try to "redpill" people without solicitation, especially when the topic being discussed has little to do with politics. If those people would learn to be less abrasive and when to show their power levels, then people wouldn't respond with ">fuck off stormnigger" and "hurr back to Comment too long. >makes a JUST thread >gets banned >the next day someone make a nearly identical post to mine >shitload of comments, not deleted >meanwhile the rest of /tv/ is infested with baneposting Are the mods bipolar?
