Can we talk about the massive Tumblr problem this board has? Hiro, crack down on these fucks please.
Tumblr is the reason why /qa/ (and /q/ before it) has such a bad reputation. Most of this board is just Tumblr and SRS spamming endless threads to delete /pol/, even though Hiro already said "NO" right to your faces.
You're like children who throw a tantrum after Mom and Dad say they can't give you an iPhone on your birthday, yet you continues screaming at them for it.
>>673605 Whining non-stop for years worked for anti-questfags.
I hate /pol/, but I don't want it to be deleted unless any and all posts discussing contemporary politics are banned, because otherwise /pol/ will just shit up all the other boards like a burst appendix. Or like /b/ would whenever moot would fuck with it.
Of course, I said "contemporary politics" to allow for people to discuss the fictional politics of whatever fictional series they're discussing on whatever board that series fits... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>673605 Why are you posting this all over the board?
And someone wanting /pol/ to be kept on the appropriate board doesn't make them Tumblr anymore than wanting /mlp/ kept on it's own board makes you barneyfag, or wanting /r9k/ kept contained makes you a woman.
People aren't complaining about your politics, they're complaining about the obnoxious behaviour and how politics are forced into unrelated topics, dragging all discussion into the black hole of infographs about black crime rates, the... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
In the past couple of days I have noticed an increasing amount of dissatisfaction among a number of boards -- most commonly directed at that specific board's Moderation team or rulings.
I have zero experience running an imageboard, but if I was 4chan's Admin, here's a contingency plan on what I would do:
1) Board-Specific Investigations
Investigate each board's Moderation team that users are most concerned about. If abuse of power is discovered, don't terminate moderation credentials outright. Instead give accused Mods another chance... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Why are loli porn drawthreads and other obvious spammed shitposts being consistently allowed on /pol/?
For example, this is currently allowed up, and has been for days: >>>/pol/89014403 The OP has included bragging that "our based mods allow this" in his pasta.
I've received warnings for reporting these, so obviously the mods know about it and approve. Why bother to enforce rules at all if they're just going to be enforced selectively, and in ways that seem malicious... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Alright Hiro, we did exactly what you told us to do yesterday. We made our threads as you instructed and we proved to you that the mods on boards such as /co/, /g/, /tg/, /qst/, /tv/, /v/ and /pol/ are in need of a massive overhaul of moderation, possibly even removing them from power if need be. So now what we need is what are you going to do about it? What exactly is your conclusion about all of this?
I'm praying to god that you're not going to bail on us yet again and not come back for another month. If you do need some help, have you ever considered getting... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>673005 >>673013 It was more or less annoying when he bailed threads about stupid shit, but dealing with the mods is serious. If he bails, the faith in Hiro will drop dramatically. People will be calling for him to sell the site. Or better yet, he makes someone else the Site Admin while he remains the owner of 4chan. He has to know someone who gives a shit about us and has no connections at all to the mods
>>672585 >It makes effectively reporting spam posts impossible.
This is also a problem when reporting camwhoring on porn boards. These idiots simply refuse to acknowledge the purpose of /soc/ and feel the need to parade their nasty mutilated genitals all over other boards.
I tried reporting just the original image in a sequence of camwhoring before, and the mod deleted only that image, leaving the others intact. The camwhore evidently reset his IP and resumed where he left off.
>>672371 This is alarming. It did seem like an open invitation for each board to discuss culture and moderation standards, and I was going to start a thread on /tv/ about it (because that shithole needs it) but I'm seeing multiple threads about the topic being deleted across other boards
How do we stop sjw's and reddit from infiltrating 4chan? I mean look at this shit >>>/sci/8345977 This is a board for science and even they have succumb to being cucks, bending knee to political correctness
From the days of Ancient Greek epic poems to modern Anime and TV game shows, in every age, in every media, Thrilling Legends have been repeated countlessly. The large majority of these feature a climax where the Ally of Justice (the Hero), having battled repeatedly with the Great Evil (the Demon King), finally takes down the Demon King and restore peace to the world, bringing a joyous and successful conclusion to the epic.
Such a Morality Play is often necessary as it makes people feel good about themselves. This is undeniable.

>>644782 Considering that there's an entire board dedicated to (mostly) cartoons, which are overwhelmingly for children, there's little merit to this argument. And besides I was speaking about it in the sense of fixing the meta issue of the problems of keeping it so restrained.
I think it makes the problem a bit worse and encourages a shit attitude where all you have to do is post something and it upsets people because not biting bait is a lost art. Shit, SU and other meme cartoons get the same reaction that... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
If an actual show without any kind of censoring on this page at all, like SU (this is an example), makes people just as triggered as MLP, a show that is banned from all boards since years now, that's proof of 2 plausible things
1. Steven Universe should be banned from all boards ASAP since it's as cancerous as MLP even when banned.
2. MLP should remain banned from all boards, since "If that's the amount of people triggered by the show when it's censored,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I would like to open up discussion on the effect of relaxed moderation on /mlp/ and how it has contributed to enabling low-effort posting and questionable deletions of otherwise on-topic threads. Exhibit A: there has been a recent uprising of Starlight Glimmer thread spam that some users wrongfully decided to self-moderate by keeping them bumped in the hopes the mod and/or /mlp/'s janitors would do something about them. While such action as countering shitposts with more shitposts is ultimately counter intuitive, it does bring to question why these threads were permitted... Comment too long. >>611945 You're not the only account of this happening I've heard of. It's starting to seem like the staff assigned to /mlp/ have become more and more disconnected from the board they're supposed to be monitoring.
>>89094817 OBVIOUSLY bait to play on what people "think" our interests are based on generalist tends of channers being nerds/gamers, made slightly relevant to the assumed crowd by posting "muh jewz are holing wurld back"
>>89091698 Still not relevant and it's gotten 30 fucking posts since my first post
>>89066634 Your stupid heritage has absolutely NOTHING to do with politics/current events.
What the fuck goes on on this board? I thought this was where you go to bring issues up to the mods but all I see in the catalog are /b/-tier off topic threads. Since I'm on the questions and answers board, I figure this thread is more on topic than 90% of the threads I'm looking at so mods don't fucking b& me for making this damnit.
