So I've looked at this board for a few weeks, and all the threads i've seen where >4 people spamming the same complaints about /aco/ and /d/ >some pooinloo constantly asking Hirogooki to remove the flags >butthurt libshits complaining about other opinions >an abundance of self-admitted edditors and tumblrites Is there more to this or what?
Funny you picked that thread and not the other reminder etc. threads that have been around for far longer. Not that surprising given you don't know how mods/janis are supposed to treat those threads. Lurk more.
>>378355 >It doesn't' fucking work and you know it >implying banning tripcodes works
Because /a/ mods care about /a/. Hell they legit deleted posts and banned anyone who insulted loli's in a loli thread.
/v/ mods just don't care anymore. They're one of the worst mods on the site. They leave up threads THEY LIKE and don't do anything about off topic threads that should have been deleted. That's the reason why /v/ is the worst board on the site now
Its clear now to everyone on here and on most other boards like /d/, /aco/, /v/, and /tv/ that the boiling point between mods and users has now been reached. Except for boards like /a/ and /jp/, the mods have been acting like complete nazi's, banning people who dare to criticize them on any other board besides /qa/, leaving up shitposts for hours without deleting them, leaving up off topic threads without deleting them, and simply not caring at all about the board they're supposed to take of. IRC logs that were leaked earlier this year showed that the mods hate the... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>378314 Either way, both sides are at fault for the way 4chan is now: Mods for hating the user base and becoming Nazi's and lazy asses, and the user base for not trying to fight back hard enough against shitposters. THIS MUST STOP! Nothing will ever get done at this rate. Its getting worse and worse on 4chan now, and I can see why many older users are leaving the site to go elsewhere.
I don't know what the fuck Hiro has been doing, but he needs to start interacting with the userbase and getting to know us and... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
And one more thing to the moderation team: If you're going to view complaints about moderation as "spam" now and ban people for it, why don't you actually start doing your job and delete off topic threads that really are spam
when you have moderation without controls or accountability, then this happens every time and on every discussion site.
other sites have adapted and made the mods and admins accountable by making them public, for starters. 4chan is one of the rare sites where mods identities are unknown to other users. There is no reason for this other than to encourage abuse.
>>378293 This as well. There is nothing wrong with shitposting per se as long as it's funny. Aggressive moderation is the most significant reason why /his/ is still 5/5 breddy gud. Low-effort """"""humour"""""" gets you b& with prejudice, leaving only good discussion and genuine wit.
/qa/ is filled with a bunch of retards who've been on 4chan for less than a year (or two, at most), but still can't stop whining and "suggesting" (i.e. dictating) idiotic non-solutions to non-problems. This is, without a doubt, the single worst board on 4chan right now. Yes, including /b/ (and /v/ and /tv/ and /pol/ and all the other boards you think are "bad" but actually are fine). If you truly want to make 4chan better, how about advocating for /qa/'s deletion instead of the creation of your 40 favorite board ideas?
Ive been here since 2007. This really is the only place to discuss the major issues facing 4chan. Why this board? Because you can't complain in other boards less the mods ban you for either "Spamming" or "Breaking Global Rule 8".
I don't know what the fuck Hiro is doing right now, but this silence from him is not good. I'm honestly scared the mods are feeding him bullshit right now. Either that or he really doesn't know what to do now with fixing 4chan. I think he's getting overwhelmed by how much shitty problems moot left... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
K-Pop threads serve no purpose on the /mu/sic board on 4chan.
They're largely based around posting hundreds of photos of Asian women from K-Pop groups but there is very seldom any music actually discussed.
Threads like these appear at least on average 20-30 or more times a day. I don't spend enough time on the site to know the exact figures, but it's a ridiculous amount. By checking the archives you can see exactly how often these threads are being made and never fail to hit the bump limit.
These threads do not belong on /mu/. They are not... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Global rule suggestion (that is not enforced on several boards): >"OP can define rules for OP's own thread. If you don't like OP's thread hide it. If you REALLY don't like OP's thread, hide it and make an opposite thread to parody it."
Remember back when we had forum games on /b/? Remember quest threads? Remember when people actually listened to you when you said "no futa" on /d/? Remember "ITT: we have a flame war over which girlscout cookies are the best" and things like that?

I do not mean that disagreeing with OP is illegal in their thread, I mean that if OP explicitely defines a rule like "ITT EVERYBODY POST IN ALL CAPS" then you have to post in all caps if you want to post in the thread. "ITT NOBODY DISAGREES WITH ME" is allowed but makes you look like a faggot so people have to hide the thread rather than post in it.
Silence is the harshest critic. Negative attention is still attention.
