So an anon from /qa/ earlier came up with a great idea on how to possibly get more feedback from users from the other boards. The idea is very simple: Create a sticky on maybe one or two boards a day on here as a sort of "feedback thread". Here anons can post their questions, concerns, and complaints about the board to help give Hiro better ideas on how to improve 4chan and their current board. Leave the feedback thread up on those boards for maybe a few days, 3-4 should be enough, and then move on to the next boards.
However this will require a strict, explicit,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>375411 I don't want to come across as paranoid, but considering the behavior of some of our mods, can we trust them to leave what the board honestly thinks? I want to assume the best but there's still doubts.
>weeaboos bitch about too many boards and adding actually useful ones like /cel/ and /film/ >they have tens of boards which are just for useless image dumping and fetishes that can be easily found on boorus and only waste the site's bandwidth that
>>375393 I think it's a popular misconception that the site is hurting for bandwidth. The only way to waste bandwidth on 4chan is by shitposting copypasta and tired old image macros, and the only board that is really for that is [s4s] which is one of the slowest boards.
>>375393 >adding actually useful ones like /cel/ and /film/ 4chan isn't a fucking educational website you piece of shit. If you want "useful" boards, fuck off to reddit. We are here to try and discuss things we enjoy, not substitute a lack of education with instant answers from a pool of people who know far less than they express.
>they have Our site, faggot. You are the outsider. If you don't like it, fuck off to one of the other... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Delete /k/, /o/, /lgbt/, /adv/, /asp/, /biz/, /cgl/, /fa/, /fit/, /mu/, /out/, /pol/, /soc/, /sp/, /trv/ and all non-2D porn boards. They were a mistake. Even moot admitted it so. They bring nothing but cancer to our community. 4chan should be a site about nerdy hobbies only.
>>375307 Never going to happen. m00t was a failed normalfag/Goon and only really cared about getting attention, in which later turned into making enough money to remain a Goon without having to get a job. Even from the early days there was a push to expand the audience and get more people in.
Now that 4chan is legally owned by a normalfag with a criminal history based around exploiting as many users as possible, the chances of boards which should never have existed in the first place, being removed and losing posters,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Can someone please clarify what Hiro actually bought? I've heard people on here say that he just bought the right to be Admin and change the site as he sees fit while moot still owns the servers and such, while others say he bought everything and moot has absolutely nothing to do with 4chan any more. Which is true? For that matter, where are 4chan's servers currently located? Google tells me that they're in California right now, but if that is the case then who is able to fix them if they break? According to 4chan's legal page, they have a 'DMCA agent'... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Which 4chan style do you use? I currently just use the defaults but really like the look of Tomorrow and am thinking of changing over. What are your thoughts on it? Also, does anything actually unironically use Photon?
Does anyone else using legacy captcha get issues with this kind? No matter what I put in, it always says it's wrong, even when it's without-a-doubt correct, so I always have to switch back to selecting fucking street signs.
Is there a fix or a workaround for this? The street numbers and "one normal, one crooked word" ones work fine.
The site is beyond the point of repair. The newfag mods don't do their job any more, they ban elements that have always been a part of chan culture and only that. They only care to clean /pol/+/int/ shitposting (which is a start, keep board culture in said board) but are perfectly OK with keeping a porn, erp or BLACKED thread up for sometimes more than half an hour. If you check the catalog of any board other than a dead one such as >>>/i/ at this point, a good percent of 80% of threads is just shitposting and baiting which... Comment too long. Every time a post like this comes up I always wonder why I just don't leave for good after having spent years of my life here, yet every time I can never muster up the willpower to do so. What is it about this site that prevents people with a similar mindset from leaving? I wish I had an answer myself but I could never quite put it into words. Maybe some of you guys have a better answer than I do.
The new breed of Internet dweller is touchy and without character. Can you believe how much adult babysitting is going on here? The fact that /trash/ had to be created to keep manchildren busy is a sign of what kind of company you can expect to find here.
"Viral marketers" just means people who like things I don't like. If there's any issue it's the idiots hunting these "marketers" by trying to deny anyone of having any opinion that isn't contrarian and paradoxically approved by the hivemind.
Always remember something /qa/, if you see a thread on another board that is clearly off topic or clearly shows how bad that board really is, and you see a thread on /qa/ talking about it, link it to his twitter
