Please Hiro just make a drug board already, sort of like the containment board /mlp/. Drug discussion are spoken on about at length in nearly every board, notably /mu/, /tv/. /v/ and /mlp/. Just give the junkies their own board to self adulate themselves with how hardcore they are.
The fact is that the people who wanted /aco/ in the first place aren't happy because they wanted NSFW /co/. The people who were forced off /d/ aren't happy because a lot of their threads got wrecked and now they're scattered between two boards for niche things with a scarce amount of content and every time they post a thread, they get bombarded with posts going 'What's the appeal?/You're sick/How can you like this?' etc. The only people that are happy are autists who get off by insisting they're right.
Not to mention some types... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Make /aco/ just a rule 34 board and bring back old /d/. Or, modify /d/ to be the fetish board. All fetish material, east and west, goes to /d/. Some fetishes are just too niche to be split between two boards. But all the fetishes together have enough content to fill out a board. And all the weebs that cry about it can just fuck off. Problem solved.
>>368131 Won't matter. 4chan will always be known by its poster child, which is the loud and obnoxious /b/. Filtering slurs and other terms that only invite shitposting on every other board that isn't /b/ is, however, a good idea if only to attempt keeping a highest possible amount of quality.
>>368014 A normie friend once showed me a shitpost I made that had been posted there, he obviously didnt know i posted it, and got viewed a bunch on imgur. It's bizzare that a two minute shitpost s viewed by the general public as anything more than annoyance.
Let's say a shitposter makes a thread with an awful OP designed to get people mad and argue with each other. People posting in that thread don't fall for the bait but instead civilly discuss the subject and have fun, paying no heed to the OP.
Should the mods delete that thread when they see it or not?
>Please note that although /news/ is a text board, the thread creator is permitted to upload an image to the original post. All replies to the thread, however, are to be strictly text only.
Can we have an explanation why?
I just don't understand the logic behind it and I feel that it is doomed to be an insufferably slow board because of this. Slow boards aren't necessarily bad, but there's a point where being too slow becomes a problem.
>>367827 >I feel that it is doomed to be an insufferably slow board because of this. I disagree, I think it's slow because of the "5 posts at a time" rule that most people follow, but I agree the fact that it's a slow board isn't necessarily bad.. The biggest problem with /news/ so far imo is not the lack of pictures, it's that nobody posts on it.
But among those who do post, some people are changing their IPs to post more than 5 stories at a time. That NYTbot... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>link-only board It's commonly referred to as hidden board, crony. Glad that I can at least somewhat educate the neophytes who're too doltish to lollygag further. Speaking of gagging lolis when exactly do we get /l/ back?
>>367638 I honestly hope Hiro doesn't fix it. I like that it stymies people who go to the front page for whatever reason (why would you?), like errant redditors or inquiring journalists. Having a high barrier of entry can be a good thing.
