>>349062 I really hate to say it, but more than ever we need this. Hiro I know you want /v/'s opinoin as well, but its not going to work. The shitposting is so intense conversation will be impossible to hold
>meta-threads keep getting banned in /v/ even though people want the board to improve >see if there's any good threads about solving the issues /v/ is facing in /qa/ >it's just all complaining about /v/ >people here have gotten so tired of the shit they're just trying to kill off /v/ permanently
Stop trying to kill off what little good material there is left in /v/ by splitting it. All that would do is leave us with 2 heavily-shitposted... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Is it just me, or does the way the boards (at least the worksafe ones) are listed on the front page make almost no sense? Why are /f/ (Flash) and /n/ (Transportation) under "Japanese Culture"? How is "international" an interest while literature and fitness are not? I know it doesn't really matter, but this triggers my autism.
>>349048 >Why are /f/ (Flash) and /n/ (Transportation) under "Japanese Culture"? A lot of the flash files posted on /f/ depict anime and other things that derive from Japanese culture. /n/ has discussion about trains, and trains are popular among otakus.
Literature is a medium that covers many different interests, while discussion about different cultures, languages, countries, etc is more of a standalone interest.

Japan also has video games, a history, literature sports and scientific stuff that can be discussed, but those boards aren't under Japanese Culture. /f/ and /n/ cover a lot of stuff that isn't Japanese in nature.

May I suggest an /img/ board? A board devoted simply to random, novel, intriguing imagery. It would ideally be worksafe, and hopefully moderated adequately so it isn't flooded with spam or low quality content. Just anything eye-catching that you've found browsing the web but with no place to really post it. I'm not suggesting something like tumblr. Hopefully it would be thematically similar to Hmmm threads, but not just Hmmm quality images. Hopefully as well the majority of content posted wouldn't be glossy, polished, or artful, but amateur and candid.

Why the fuck are we splittering the community by making a million boards? Instead of making a new board, how about we delete some. All the following boards have a similar board that can take the demand of a bit more people.
