I'd like to personally thank the janitors that have decided to begin deleting any and all OC threads that have been popping up around 4chan lately.
It's important that we clamp down on things that don't 100% resemble the board topic upon first glance, and that any and all OC creation threads that pop up must absolutely not only be deleted, but the OPs banned for at least a week, lest the various boards suffer under the tyrannical rule of MS Paint and Photoshop for another season.

I know [s4s] is a board for people to do ironic shitposting, but is SRS on Reddit (and the associated subs) the same way, or are they actually serious? I could never tell for sure. What adds to the confusion is that the definition of the word shitpost on Reddit seems completely different from the definition on 4chan.
What actually is the purpose of SRS, anyway? I don't understand it and nothing out there really seems to explain it.
Why are they a full minute on /c/ when /e/ (for instance) is 30 seconds? Given that and the lack of discussion (which seems to actually be discouraged in the mod sticky), there's little incentive to dump in there instead of /a/.
I'd hope they get lowered to encourage people to use it more.
>>430002 >there's little incentive to dump in there instead of /a/. I don't think it would matter. It seems like /a/ wants to post everything on /a/ even though they have multiple boards they can use. I mean, there's a Japanese language general on it when /jp/ exists.
I completely agree. It makes dumping images on /c/ needlessly long and tedious. Another problem that plagues some threads is bumping them as much and as quickly as possible, leading to fast threads filled with crappy, low-quality fanart.
>>430032 It's definitely not, although the memelord who shitposted too much used quite a large range, you have big chances of landing in that range every time your IP changes (every 12 hours). I was lucky to land in a different range this time, but I'm sure that once the 12 hours pass again, I'm getting back into that range. That happened two months ago, two weeks range banned and because I asked for support it wasn't for longer. I remember that Argentina also got range banned due to Taringa! idiots, and we... Do you find greentexting outside of 4chan to be acceptable? I mean obviously pic related is fucking retarded, but if they're using it to detail a story or an event or to imply something or whatever would you find it irksome?
4chan was under the spotlight at that point in time; not primarily for GG if you remember, but the fappening. GG was swept under the rug to cut off another shitstorm from kicking up right as 4chan was in the middle of another, more serious shitstorm that had legal ramifications.
It probably wasn't the optimal way to solve the issue, but it doesn't indicate malevolence so much as a combination of desperation and mild incompetence.
Why are RISK threads allowed on /pol/? They contribute nothing to the board except take up space when 6-10 people circle jerking over a game that has NOTHING AT ALL to do with /pol/. I'm sick of seeing multiple RISK threads on the front page, it's off-topic bullshit that doesn't belong. I report every thread I see but the mods do absolutely nothing. What's up with that? I've filtered names, tripcodes, and unique user IDs but I still see at least 5 fucking RISK threads a day. Mods, why do you allow this blatant rule-breaking content to... Comment too long.
