This was the cringiest thing to ever come out of 4chan. Seriously GooberGate was so fucking stupid, it fucked up the site permanently. We got an influx of redditors (/r/KotakuInAction) and ultra right-wing faggots obsessed with cucking shitting up the whole site, circlejerking over the same political shit like free speech and censorship. Why bros. Why did this have to happen.
>>412168 The word "goober" sounds extremely stupid and childish, I use it to describe GG because that's what the whole movement is. I'm not some /r/Gamerghazi tumblrina either, I just think the whole thing is dumb as hell, grown men and women fighting over videogames.
There have been so many new people coming to 4chan for the past 1-2 years and it's extremely obvious, especially with all of the new and random tripfaggots on most boards and useless general threads.
Talking about people who are used to reddit/random forum and come here and immediately assume they need a name. People who literally delete and repost their post because they forgot their trip or name. People that go into a thread and reply to a whole bunch of old posts at once, half of it being irrelevant to the thread blogging.

I'm convinced mods are purposely trying to sink /v/. Before any drastic change occurred (such as a split that some people want) the least you could do is moderate it. There are always streamer threads up, threads about transsexuals that people who secretly want to hatefuck them keep spamming, dumb forced memes made by /tv/ cross boarders, "hurdur what do you think about this SJW?" threads, and a lot more. I mean ALWAYS this shit is there. Even the slightest amount of moderation would be useful but at this point there seems to be none.
What is there goal,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>412043 I'm convinced that people who come to /qa/ to bitch about /v/ aren't native to the board, and fall into one of a few categories:
1. Wants mods to be their maids and delete anything they don't like. 2. Doesn't use the board and believes some horror story from like, 2008-2012 about /v/ being 90% off-topic. Comes to the board, sees one off-topic thread, confirmation bias kicks in. 3. Wasn't around for the horrors of the past and doesn't know how good they have it. 4. Is so horribly... Comment too long. Have you heard about b1tco1n. >take a silver quater >cut it up into 25 pieces >give 24 to 24 people tell them tell a friend >come back for next round >51 people >still one quarter cut to 25 >creator always gets a cut >24 between... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Most of you know /co/ has been undergoing a crisis of identity for a long time now, but if you don't regularly use the board, you may not know why.
I left /co/ a little under a year ago, and came back last month. During that time the board has gotten exponentially worse than I've ever seen it. You may have seen some people complain about live-action comic book movies being on /co/, but those threads are generally well-behaved collections of people sharing ideas.
The real problem is that a subculture of people from Tumblr has sprung up there. On most boards,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>412014 It's a /co/ related show, but the first step to rescuing the board is permanently relocating all Steven Universe threads to /trash/ and having any Steven Universe posts in other threads be an automatic 7 day ban
When SU isn't airing new episodes the threads are banned from /co/ and put in /trash/ instead, and during this time period the board is 10x better. I was on /co/ the other day and saw a fuckton of SU threads so I assume new episodes are out, and board quality is down too.
>>412013 Everyone who came to 4chan after 2006 is a newfag but that doesn't mean you have to behave in the same fashion of the autistic hoard. It has more to do with the generation/age which defined this hoard: Americans who grew up in the now standard overly feminised snowflake culture. It is the reason why the site in general went from having abrasive discussion here and there but with an underlying jocularity to a swarm of irrelevant normalfag boards full out outsiders and legacy boards becoming big buzzing hiveminds... >>411997 That was such a giant drug trip. Also a reminder that the new testamant is the most successfull fanficiton of all time. So successfull it comes bundled with the original and is considered part of the story.
Is there any moderation on /vg/ at all? Like, at ALL? I know it's a containment board so it's going to have a certain degree of shittiness by default but /fgog/ has had a single autist shitposting for three literal months day and night and no amount of reporting has even gotten him a slap on the wrist. And the only time a janitor actually stopped in the thread, all he did was delete a bunch of chibi images, left all the shitposting intact, and justified his actions by stating someone used the word "rare" and that it was a cancerous word.
Just post very tiny things that you think will increase the sites usability. Nothing major
Can you guys include an option to play webms within a page instead of opening in a new tab for the mobile extension? This was how it worked at first, but for some reason it got changed. Thanks in advance.
