7 KB,
Hello, /pol/. I posted in a thread recently where the topic of discussion was intelligence and intelligence tests and I am here to answer questions about them.

I am an M in Mensa and I have lead a group in the Southeast region of the United States for a year now since my immigration and graduation from a school here.

If you have any questions about IQ, IQ tests, IQ and where it comes from or just questions about Mensa do not be afraid to ask.

>>
I'll be assisting my friend here in answering any questions and for clarification he read the thread on /pol/ and English isn't his first language

>>
How does this retard not see the big letters saying "Science and Math" when making this thread?

>muh iq
if you're so intelligent you should be able to solve these problems

I hear a lot about the negatives of global warming. What are the positives? Is it really end of the world, or end of the polar bears?
>>
>inb4 more bikini's

More habitat, rain fall, fresh water, it's great for agriculture, and rainforests

7 KB,
you should be able to calculate the volume of the unit tetrahedron without help, if you're a real mathemati/sci/an
>>
Oooh, I remember this problem from my Applied Triple Integrals class.

The area of an equilateral triangle of side length x is (x^2)*sqrt(3)/4, so, integrating along the altitude gives you sqrt(3)/12.

I need to get 52% on my Organic Chemistry final to pass the class

I got 43% on the midterm and have not studied since, only mindlessly took notes (very good notes though)

I have 2 full days (7am-12pm) + 3 hours today to study for everything

how fucked am i
>>
>>7716785
very. mindlessly taking notes instead of paying attention and learning is retarded
>>
>>7716785
you might get a 50
>>
Probably, I know when I took organic chem the final was much more difficult than the midterm. There's a chance is you religiously study the reactions and their mechanisms

how do solve it?

just integrate three times and you're done

$f\left( x \right) = \prod\limits_{n = 0}^\infty {\left( {1 + {x^{{4^n}}}} \right)}$

Find the convergence value of the function when x = 3/8. insert that into the next function then flip

This got me thinking.

How can we here right now find things left on the Moon from those missions? There's still a Rover up there and landing

What size telescope do I need to actually focus in on objects left behind and see them for myself? My shitty...

The largest object on the moon seems to be "Apollo 15 S-IVB" located at 1.51°S 11.81°W is it even on the Earth side of the moon?
>>
It's too small. You would need a telescope about 200 meters with sophisticated Adaptive Optics in diameter just to resolve the LM as a pixel.

>>7716671
You can't because its all fake and Earth is flat. Don't believe their lies!

Since medicine is science, I thought I'd ask this question here. Do you sci bros think there might be corruption or doctors with bad intentions in the medical field? I always think of doctors as the people with the highest integrity in society without shred of bad intention in them - except for plastic surgeons. What do you guys think?

Are there any other fellow cornellians on /sci/ who were present this morning to hear Neil Degrasse Tyson say this?

Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK? It sounded like some random gang related bullshit. Has he been taking drugs recently? Is he okay? I didn't even believe it until I saw the video. Why haven't more people reacted to it?

Post the video.

This basically. You kind of have to be able to get excited about your field. I constantly find myself thinking "wow this stuff is so Fucking cool ". I think if you have that you can be great in any engineering field.

Why are these sacred cows so revered? Especially when things like nuclear are seemingly blacklisted.

Because it's GREEN™! Nukular is bad coz Churnobyl.

Never mind the terrible energy density, rarity of materials or the environmental impact of mining them.

Because it's already cheaper than nuclear, despite nuclear being established. Graphene is the next generation solar component, and it can be manufactured out of methane, co2, glucose, and many other molecules.
