Correct me if im wrong. A Photon is like a single partical of light.
My question is what shape is is ?
A wave ?
A string ?
A sphere ?
Rinse repeat, though Wave and String are interchangeable then comparable on the bounds of the Fourier transformation
A wave packet

It used to be considered as a particle, so it would only have position. Then it was proven that it acts like a wave and there are various theories about it. In any way, it doesn't have any shape. Shape is a property of a group of particles, you can't apply it to single photon.
Not quite m8, the solution to the time dependent schrodinger equation is a wave packet, but thats the wavefunction, which specifies the state of a system, but is NOT an observable. The actual particles we can interact with and make measurements of in the lab behave like points
the 'technically' correct answer
some waves look like this and are made of their medium
electromagnetic waves are different tho
>how can it be both a wave and a particle at the same time
If you're not going to go very deep into it, just realize that sometimes it's better to think of it as a point and other times at a wave. It has the properties of both depending on how you look at it.
