Back again guys! How's everyone doing? Got a shitload of work to do tonight so I'll be up for a while and hang out here every once in a while to answer all reasonable questions. And I'll try and get to know you guys a bit as well. See you in a bit!
>>22768439 No I board them at a farm nearby that has 40 other llamas and about 15 horses and two donkeys chickens and a lot of cats haha. I show my llama competitively and he's a very good pet also. Here's a picture of me my sister and a new baby llama on the farm
>>22768464 Yikes. My favorite bands change a lot. I like Chemical Brothers. System of a Down. Panic at the Disco. Beck. Everlast. Foo Fighters. My chemical Romance. Halsey. Aesop Rock. Tyler the Creator those are just some I listen to not necessarily my favorite
>>22768422 Haha I love this picure! Are llamas easy to take care off? How domesticated do they get? >>22768428 hmm >>22768447 Digging the shirt! What are you most proud of in your life up to this point? >>22768464 You allways seem like a chill dude when I see you post. I don't know man, about 100 kg for 7-8 reps or something. How about yourself? And if you could go anywhere you've never been before, where would you go?
>>22768500 Compared to horses and other large animals they're very easy to take care of and if you give them attention at a young age they become very domesticated. I've used some as therapy animals before. They're really loving and gentle
>>22768599 What is your guilty pleasure? >>22768604 Describe your best friend. >>22768606 What do you think of this song? Shitty question but I just found this and wanted to share it with someone haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8G6s1S0bDg >>22768641 I guess I could keep it on my roof or something. >>22768662 Hey it's you again! Wat's up dude? What kind of work do you do, and what kind of work would you have liked to do most? >>22768687 What do you think is your most attractive feature or trait? And what attracts you in other people?
>>22768722 I would say that I am. >>22768742 My eyes/eyebrows are pretty awesome. And my hair. Im attracted to long hair on a guy, and if he's really tall that's great too (I'm 5'3). I'm a sucker for a nice smile.
>>22768464 The first time I moved back was when I was 8-9. S. Africa has been in decline since the ANC has come into power and my dad was just fed up, and had some sort of mental breakdown due to stress at work, so we moved back to Finland. Then when I was 14 because of the economy my dad couldn't work as a freelancer anymore so the family tricked me and my sister back into S. Africa (''we're going on a holiday'') The day I knew we weren't coming back I set a plan in motion and ultimately moved back on my own at 16 after a year in the states. The reason being " I hate S.Africa." >>22768500 It's a dress ;p That question is a little depressing since I don't think there has been anything huge. But lots of tiny things. Some relationships and some talents that have gotten noticed etc. >>22768604 None. I use snus tho
>>22768742 he's a loudmouth, arrogant cocksucker who finds himself hilarious. nobody cracks him up quite like himself. he's a bad influence on me and i'm a worse influence on him. love the kid to death.
>>22768891 scurry. >>22769004 My hurr was wet and lighting shit >>22769027 I can speak Afrikaans. Can't spell or read it for shit tho. I can understand it 100% fluently but I'm very out of practice with speaking. I think Yolandi is try hard and tries to make it look like alternative style is even a thing is SA. It isn't. SA is very conservative. Even the most out there alternative kiddos are very mild by European and American Standards. She was a semi good actor in Chappie tho. >>22769055 Snus.
>>22768478 Right on. SOAD is so fucking awesome. And I really like MCR's first record. It got me into punk. Tyler is also gr8.
>>22768500 Lol, shit dude. That's right around what my 2 rep max is :P . Me and a few of my friends are actually planning on backpacking through Northern Europe. I've always wanted to visit different spots there. Really excited.
>>22768604 Yes, I do, kek. They are just strawberry blonde. You can see them in soft lighting or when your looking at me straight in the face. People actually compliment me on them when they can see them, lol
>>22768662 I work some cleaning jobs for offices on weekends. They give me a decent amount of cash. Used to work at a market but got fired. I'm going to get another job when I get better.
>>22768787 Wow, that's fucked up. And holy shit, how did you make it living in two different countries by yourself at 15 - 16? Did you work or did you still have money from your parents? That must have been incredibly difficult. Actually pretty inspiring, tbqh. Moving away from your family after fucked you over like that. That's pretty fucking brave. What is your relationship like with your family now?
>>22769635 I was in a boarding school in Montana ;p We didn't go out so I didn't need money. In Finland I live off student benefits, unless I got a job, then I couldn't apply for them. But I got pay. I think the largest pay I've gotten per month is 600€ since my town is actually declared bankrupt, and I don't have connections to get a job, so I've taken intern positions. But since I'm so broke my rent is something like 50€ a month ;p. I'm going to try move next year and I'll take out a student loan probably, because I think I'm one of those people that would struggle with school and work at the same time ( I did when I tried) So I'd rather just study and get it done with and pay off the loan when I get a job ;p
I have a very poor relationship with my family. It took a while to build trust after they tricked us into moving. And they did it again. They didn't like that I was unmotivated in SA so instead of letting me go back to Finland, they kind of wanted to get back at me, and said "we're going on a holiday to the states." I said "I don't want to go to America." and my mom said "We're visiting Finland afterwards." (I was 14 at the time.) So my Dad calls me and says "Behave well, so you can go on this trip." Anyways a few weeks later we arrived in Denver and my Mom is being strangely kind, and my little sister says "Don't you think it's suspicious?" and I said "nah, she just wants to rebuild our relationship" and then we drive to Montana because my mom said she had friends there. She ended up dropping me off at a boarding school and said "lol ur staying here for a year. bye" I packed a weeks worth of shit, and told all my friends I would see them in 2 weeks. The school didn't have internet, so my friends were pissed when I came back a year later. Took a while to build the friendships back up. Now I have huge trust issues which carry onto my intimate relationships. (obvs other shit happened through my life. but that was the last straw.)
>>22770364 That's cold. I don't blame you for cutting ties with your parents after that. I think the idea of boarding school is a bit fucked up to begin with. Dumping your kid somewhere for x amount of time seems so weird to me, especially while manipulating them like that. Fuuck, man. I can totally see how that would fuck up your sense of trust.
Do you aim to ever rebuild your relationship with your family? What happened to your sister?
>>22770376 How'd you discover your passion for music, my friend?
>>22770534 Why didn't you ask other people questions, friendo?
>>22770791 She wanted to escape from them too, she's now in a 'normal' boarding school on an ice hockey scholarship in NY. I've tried to rebuild it but last time I was there I ended up with a black and blue face so just nope.jpg. But I'll visit them when they come to Finland because if they try start shit I can just jump on a bus home or call the cops. I hate the popo so I'll likely just leave with broken pride kek.
>>22768759 Allright cool! To each his own. >>22768778 Yeah I love your eyes as well! And I like how your hair compliments them. Another question. Where do you feel most at home? >>22768785 Ok cool! Are you going to school for that right now? What course are you taking? Hope that works out for you. >>22768787 Well you should definatly take pride in the small things! What kind of talents do you have? You seem like someone that would have a couple of cool ones. >>22768792 Hahaha cool. I have friends like that as well. >>22768806 Haha I might actually be able to in my neighborhood. I've seen weirder things for sure. >>22769055 What's the last thing you've built? >>22769184 Have your piercings ever prevented from getting or doing something you wanted? I dig em by the way. >>22769635 Haha ok cool! If your travels ever bring you through the Netherlands let me know. I'll hook you up with a nice place to stay and show you around. >>22770376 What's the happiest you've ever been?
>ended up with a black and blue face jesus christ. thats terrible
what a fucked up situation. cant imagine how much that must hurt. i genuinely hope that everything chills out between you, but if shit like that goes down again, i'd hop on bus and never look back. fuckthat.jpg i feel for you, anon :(
>>22771284 Sounds interesting! Well I've been doing boxing and running pretty mutch all my life so I've allways been active. But I didn't get a lot bigger till I was in the Dutch marine core. We have quite a bit of time off there so I got to do a lot of lifting there. And if I get into something I get super into something so I researched everything I could about nutrition and training during that time. I'm actually a lot smaller then I was then due to the fact that I've gotten more into boxing and running again and lifting has taken a less important role. Do you do any sports yourself?
>>22771298 Used to play basketball for a while, gave up about 3 years ago. Looking to get back into the gym regularly when my exams finish tomorrow (yay) so I can lose some weight and get fit. Hard to believe you're smaller than you once were hahaha.
>>22771319 Probably like 2 weeks ago when me amd my boyfriend started to argue over text and he just hit me with tge "whatever im going to bed" text and wouldnt respond to my texts after. That pisses.me off like no tomorrow. I hate leaving an arguement unsettled
>>22771324 Good for you man! Finding a way to stay in shape is so important. Especially for guys like you in Uni or later in the lab where you don't get to exercise your body a lot during the day. If I can give you some advice: try to learn a thing or 2 about nutrition as well. What you eat is a lot more important when it comes to losing weight than working out. Good luck with you exams! >>22771331 Haha yeah I hate that as well. I can't sleep if I'm still in the middle of a fight with someone. I do have to admit I do that as well sometimes, but it's usually becouse I need some time to think about what I want to say and how or else I just start shouting and that won't help anyone. >>22771342 What's the last good deed you did?
>>22771346 This morning on the train, I offered this tired and extremely emotional pregnant lady my seat. She looked achey and sad and I'm sure she didn't want to stand in the middle of the train crying her face off. I don't know entirely if that counts, but... I felt good about it, and she appreciated it a lot...
>>22771346 Thanks a lot man, and yeah my diet sucks. Had a surprisingly good meal tonight though, fish with potatoes and greens.
In the lab you are always standing though, so it's not too bad. >>22771335 Awesome! Yeah I used to like guitar hero too. Haven't played KH but I heard it's a great game. Also never heard of a game that gives you anxiety haha. >>22771342 What is your favourite thing to look for in a partner? >>22771373 When's the last time you beat someone up? >>22771397 How old are you?
>>22771418 Oh dear... FAVOURITE thing in a partner? Honestly, I look for someone who can listen, but can also hold conversation. But also someone who can keep up with my libido... it's not my favourite thing to look for, but it's important. I'm kiiiiind of insatiable.
>>22771485 I'm terrible with age too. Let me tell you. I asked a highschooler what college they were attending the other day and they gave me the worst look I've ever seen. Looking young is a nice compliment though! I thank ya!
>>22771600 >Photographer, no, not a fucking wanabee, i practice photography since i was 12 and i live from taking pics >5'5'' >20 >just broke up a few weeks ago >agnostic >clasic rock, metal, punk rock, classical music, some indie >Mexico >Tijuana >camping? dunno if that's considered as a sport
>>22771617 >Photographer Do you have an online portfolio? >clasic rock, metal, punk rock, classical music, some indie Decent! but not sure about punk rock. What's your opinion on JAZZ/BLUES/R&B? >Mexico You look you're from the Philippians or Vietnam. No way I could've guessed.
>>22771631 >nope, i don't have an online portfolio, as i have a "photo team" there's another girl on charge of getting clients and the money things, i only take the pics. >i like all of those except R&B, never got my attention >lol, i think i don't look like the average "latina"
>>22771700 yup, three dogs and a cat. but technically one is just a medical foster since she has a heart murmur, but I might end up just adopting her myself. and the other is my parent's dog that they couldn't care for once he lost his sight
>>22771806 you mean at the emergency clinic? I think it's really just all the times an animal came in dying or seriously injured when it could have easily been prevented. especially people with outdoor cats that would constantly bring them in after they got fucked up outside and cry about how scared they were the cat was going to die, then just let them back outside again. it just didn't make sense.
Not sure the exact breed, he's built like an American Staffordshire Terrier. He followed my neighbors granddaughter home when I lived in the city a few years back. She wasn't allowed to have "one of those dogs" so I took him in. Now we live in the middle of nowhere. He's a cuddly little shit!
>>22771939 No, I meant a world where I think it's ridiculous that people get offended by a flag, and I wanted to poke the bear to find out if they really were, or if they just wanted to jump on the bandwagon because it's the cool thing to do.
Before this year, I didn't give a fuck about this flag. I still really don't, I'm just trying to make it a topic of conversation so someone can finally give me a real reason that it's so evil....
>>22771951 if you really need an explanation on why a historically racist symbol is bad then you aren't evil, just a little dumb
and your "ideal world" would only exist if the power imbalances we have didn't exist. you just want a world where you can say/do whatever you want and not be called out on it. you already have freedom of speech, now you just seem to want freedom from criticism as well, which doesn't exist and never will.
>>22771964 This power imbalance interests me, please tell me more. I want a world where I can have a conversation about a controversial topic with someone without them immediately reverting to personal attacks to justify that they are right.
It's not the only item in history that has been adopted by an organization for usage of some means other than its original purpose. (Pic related) Dues this mean that we should now ban everything that offend anyone. Let's get serious here, nothing would be legal because some asshat would be offended that others are breathing his air and half the world would stop breathing and due because they didn't want to offend him.
>>22771985 It has lots to do with "hurr muh flag is fine because it's not racist" argument. I'm surprised you're not sitting here saying that my dog should be banned because of his physical characteristics.
>>22771991 but since we live in a society based on a democracy and voting, once it's frowned upon by a certain percentage of the population it makes sense that something would be done. you're heavily dramatizing it to sound as if one individual is ruining all your fun. you're just mad society is slowing changing in a direction that you don't like that values different things than you do. and your whole "idea" is based on getting to say whatever you want. well, that means they would still get to call you whatever they want based on what you say. that wouldn't change at all. in fact, you'd only encourage it. your speech is just as free as theirs
and by power imbalance I mean that if you could do whatever you want without any sort of regulation, people in positions of power would be able to do whatever the hell they want, and it would be detrimental to demographics that aren't as favored by these individuals, they would be far more effected than you. unless you mean just having no laws and thinking anarchy would work out. which no, it wouldn't.
>>22772030 Also, it could easily be viewed or debated that straight white people in this country are the exact demographics that you're talking about. You know, the ones that aren't favored by "the majority". The ones that the actions of "the majority" would be detrimental to?
>>22772054 that's exactly what you said. that since "everyone was in on it" it's fine, nice one
>>22772047 >le victim complex believing that straight white people aren't favored by those in positions of power if this was true we'd live in a very different world. try getting off the internet (typically inhabited by the younger and more progressive generations) and you'll see
but even if this was true, it means the same thing, that your "ideal world" would suck for everyone that the small group of elite didn't favor. doesn't matter who that group is
>>22772076 Again, no. I'm saying at the time every race was in on slavery, every race was a slave and that demonizing white people and lumping the legacy of slavery on that one flag is very narrow minded.
>>22772076 You know, I just reread your comment about anarchy. It's never really been a thought in my mind, but I have to point out that it very well could work. It's not like we've given it a shot to find out yet...
>>22772097 Were you a slave in America? I doubt it. Am I a slave owner in America? Not to my knowledge. Was this flag designed as a symbol of slavery or racism? It was not, in fact.
Again, heading way back, why is it that when someone possesses an item and uses it for purposes that it was not designed to be used for, do we immediately ignore everything except for what is offensive to us?
>>22772101 yes and that's why I said, even if you take race out of the situation, it's still a flag tied specifically to fighting for the right to have slaves. I'm not speaking about other countries and what they should/shouldn't do because this isn't about them
>>22772117 >the confederate flag doesn't have an origin defending slavery sure explains why the confederacy formed after the north became more hostile towards owning slaves and South Carolina was the first to seced, specifically because they wanted to own slaves
>>22772131 >Fuck that, just stop brushing and wait 6 months. you'd just get matts, not dreads
and since banning the flag wouldn't (and hasn't) actually harmed anyone, and if it's voted on my the majority of the population, then it makes sense. and even still, it's not "banning" it if stores decide to pull down products with that on it. they're making a smart business decision because they know what's favored and what's not
>>22772153 I don't despise him. I'm sure you're going to make some super witty comment about that because you think you're a comedian or something, but he (honestly not even sure if he is a he, or we're all just assuming that for whatever reason), at least, had the capability to critically think instead of jumping on the societal bandwagon of "omg, all of a sudden we need to do something about a horrible inanimate object that's 150+ years old just because someone is now offended "
>>22772189 why anarchy would fail is not about a system we currently have, it's about how people fundamentally function and make decisions. have no motivation for doing something wrong and no reward for doing something right, you get a big fucking mess. and I'm not talking just verbal argument messes, I mean physically violent messes
>>22772171 Oh please, I didn't start this, but I'm not backing down because they've yet to make a remotely valid argument. Though i should compliment them by proving my point earlier by doing a good job of slinging personal insults.
>>22772184 Something I've learned as a mixed race child is that I am properly entitled to say WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT BECAUSE I AM 100% CORRECT. I CAME OUT OF WHITE DICK INTO A BLACK VAGINA. The only reason you don't despise him is because he is helping your retarded argument. I AM THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE WHO CAN DEEM WHAT IS RACIST AND WHAT ISN'T.
>>22772204 It's absolutely about the system we currently have because ask the examples that you're using are events that are happening currently with this amazing system that we have, not one that has never been attempted.
I just get very icky about censorship. Accepting freedom of expression does include that which you don't agree. I also think it's dangerous to agree the majority is always right, especially when it may only imply 51% of the people.
>>22772214 those examples are of our current system PERIODICALLY failing, which would be the CONSTANT state of anarchy because you would be trying to implement an idealistic system that goes against human nature
>>22772228 doesn't necessarily mean just one vote with 51%. there could be multiple votes done over a span of time, and other ways to get a more concrete result. it's not perfect, but sure as hell better than anarchy like the other guy is convinced has potential
>>22772237 Again, there is no possible way that you could know that as there is no static example to evaluate.
Your opinion is that "those examples are of our current system PERIODICALLY failing" and that it would absolutely, without a doubt, mean that "would be the CONSTANT state of anarchy because you would be trying to implement an idealistic system that goes against human nature". I'm simply stating that we don't know if this is actually the system that goes against our human nature and that we don't know the other might work because we've never tried it.
>>22772258 >there is no static sample to evaluate yeah, because no place is ridiculous enough to try it because it has such a low chance of not being a giant clusterfuck. like >>22772276 said, it wouldn't work anywhere with a significant population and variance of values. aka, definitely not America, or many other places
>>22772258 >no static example to evaluate yeah, because nowhere is dumb enough to try it. like other anon said, it only hasa chance in a very small population that had little to no variance of values. does that sound even remotely like America, or anywhere else developed for that matter?
>>22771827 My father earns R7700 after tax a day. He is one of the highest paid in his profession in SA. So piss off kaffir. >>22771294 No worries. I'm on my own now. The only thing that bothers me is that those issues have become ingrained in me somewhat, and it shows in my relationships. I hope as time passes it becomes easier and reflects less ;p
>>22772131 Yeah neglect works too. I just don't suggest it normally cause most people want them to actually look like dreads right away instead of just having a matted mess. Which is why most idiots go with crochet.
>>22771369 >be a freshmen in high-school >week two of second semester >a qt 3.14 is eyeing me up in algebra class >we start talking in class sometimes >eventually she starts texting me everyday >we flirt back and fourth for like a solid month or so >however, eventually she starts getting a little crazy with her messaging and starts texting me like 3 times a day >14yo me had vidyas to play and homework to do. "I can't deal with all of this shit", I thought. Also, I kind of panicked because I had never had a legitimate before and I was scared to go through with it >for a couple days I barely contribute to conversation at all >within a week I pretty much just give her one word replies >she eventually gives up and stops messaging me >then she pretty much just stops talking to me in class too
When it was all going down, I was completely oblivious to how big of a dick I was being. I had led this poor girl on for over a month and then all of a sudden started ignoring her. I feel really bad about it. Granted, I was 14 years old, but it makes me like an asshole.
>>22772757 Just about everyone and their mother has been an ass--if not long-term, then from time to time. Holding on to it doesn't do shitall for ya; if it won't go away, use it to do better in the future.
