remember when /sp/ was based bro culture instead of shitty sports?
I'm amazed that the moderators, after literally three years now, still fail to understand that they're destroying what /sp/ was built upon.
Why delete an off topic thread with 450 replies at 2am? He's right. If a user doesn't want to participate in that thread, then he won't reply to it, or he'll filter it. If a user does want to participate, he'll post in it.
Why allow WWE on here when the rules strictly state that this sort of thing is supposed to be on /asp/?
Why allow generals to exist when it's basically just a tripfag orgy?
Why ban all forms of creativity on a board based on creativity?
Why delete off-topic threads when there are literally no sports on?
Why act as if you're a forty year old man wandering around a sports bar, throwing out anyone who even thinks about talking off-topic when the game has ended? There is no reason, you end up gaining more and more enemies the more you do it. Sooner or later, someone's going to be driven off the deep end and tear down the website from the inside out.
Use a bit of common sense, moderators. Be lenient. If people want to have fun here, why stop them? If it's what they want, then it's what they want. The only reason you should be here is to ban the users who post NSFW stuff.
I remember this, it was gold
I know this is not old /sp/ stuff but this webm is just too good.
From an odegaard thread not too long ago
jesus christ I'm not even a wrestling fan but you guys lump them up and act like they caused this board to die down. they have one fuckin thread and a few gamethreads.
the mods want this site to be less like 4chan and more like reddit, as they want constructive criticism. I just think they don't want to be embarrassed.
I still don't get how generals ruin discussion or creativity, that makes no fucking sense to me.
The outlels don't get that generals are supposed to make it easier to filter/hide threads you don't like.
Because when the whole board is generals it gets fucking annoying
>MLB, nhl, nba etc general
page 1 is literally 100 percent generals and other threads don't get bumped
The right thing to do would to have a separate board for all these generals and let /sp/ be /sp/
If there's a board for fucking cosplaying and 3dcg (whatever that is) and fucking wallpapers there should be boards for the generals on /sp/
I can see it now
If reddit didn't suck so horribly I'd go there for muh sports But whoever designed reddit cannot into user interface
> best of /sp/
> no mention of based >MESSHIT
Anyway, dont be down fellow /sp/urtans, the best of /sp/ is still to come bros
Glorious /wwe/ thread 1000 is coming
all our /sp/ brothers are welcome to drop in and give us their congratulations, we made it to the top lads
it is true, you faggots flooded the board, entire pages with feels, feet, power rankings, porn, shota hentai, waifu and other shit, even when sports were on. Generals were born as a haven, people who actually wanted to talk about sports went there. When mods got rid of your shitposting during early 2013, all that was left was generals
Anyone got the Dutch meltdown post after a Mexican trolled the post-game World Cup thread?
Something about Robben diving into his child's tears... that was easily the best freakout I've seen on /sp/
Niggers have always been niggers
And yet I still don't like niggers
someone post that patriots conspiracy thread
>they have POISON SPIDERS in the bathtub, they have excuse to not wash
>View page source
>Sports" is 4chan's imageboard for sports discussion."><meta name="keywords" content="imageboard,worksafe,sports,football,baseball,basketball,soccer,wrestling,banter,hockey,rugby
>WWE/wrasslin not listed
Reminder that banter is not a bannable offence and the mods are manchildren who shouldn't be "moderating" >>>/asp/
I think it was mainly because they were worried some SJW cunt had bought it and would turn it into Reddit/Gawker/Buzzfeed/tumblr 2.0 considering how fucking pathetically cucked moot turned out to be. I was actually curious myself a couple of weeks back to who does own 4chan now. Turns out it's some big business who buys websites on behalf of other big business so they can keep their information private. So they were basically right except to be worried. It's only a matter of time before the rules go full muh hurt feelings.

that is quite the victim complex you have created around your anime website browsing habits
>BEANER BEANER BEANER ARRIBA CHURRO ROW ROW YOUR BOAT ALL THE WAY TO FLORIDA
it's always weird that people hype this up so much, really bizarre that people don't know this is just Sean on one of his many proxies, a canadian leafs/patriots fan and notorious shtiposter
>gets mad about mods deleting off topic threads at 2 am, saying that if someone doesnt want to participate he'll just filter it
>then says that wwe threads should be deleted
If you dont like wwe threads, just filter them simple as that, you autistic mongoloid
God I love based Lesotho
Sorry for shitty collage I threw it together on my phone
A few reasons. Firstly, people are expecting (or at least hoping for) someone to get knocked out over the course of the fight. Secondly, if someone gets knocked out cold they're most likely going to regain consciousness within the minute, and be able to walk out the cage fine a few minutes after that. Watching someone shatter two bones in their leg and watching the floppy, unsupported end wiggle around like it obviously shouldn't is sorta hard to watch. You know immediately he's going to have to go through emergency surgery, extensive rehab, and wont be able to fight to make a living for at minimum half a year. Plus it happened to the GOAT, so it was even more devastating
i think it has something to do with the fact that it's not common for the leg to bend in that direction. our brain has a hard time comprehending what exactly is going on with the limb.
