> Sanchez wins player of the month
> Vardy doesn't
How the fuck does that even make sense?
Arsenal fans are easily the worst in the country.
he's a racist chav who plays for literally who
sanchez loves doge
Because teams like Wigan can win it. Or do you unironically think it is on the same level as the Premier League and the Champions League?
Wait never mind, you're an Arselol fan so of course you do.
Do you think the Asians and Africans are sitting through this?
spurs 3rd? i seriously doubt it m8
Lamela is shit, he is talented and has great ball control, but he lacks attacking mentality
Eriksen is way better than Lamela, but Poch as an argie has to force his team to give the ball to the argie on pitch
Eriksen should go to other team in January, maybe a UCL side
Lads, what's happening to Chelsea?
They could get relegated?
I'm an Arsenal fan but I hate redditness of >our fanbase.
>le poll :D
>le classy Wenger xD
>Bellerin is going to be great! I'm so excited!
>Here are some stats that prove that Giroud is better than Messi
I wish somebody gassed them desu.
lamela is not bad, Kane is back on form, eriksen is playing well. The defence is overall doing good job unlucky goal to concede last night. I genuinely think they'll beat arsenal net week. Not even a tottenham fan.
>I genuinely think they'll beat arsenal net week. Not even a tottenham fan.
>Not even a tottenham fan.
kek. sure you aren't.
no one other than scum think they can beat Arsenal.
Cap'd. One question though, why does it always end up being britain vs germany?
>"y-you should support your manager!"
>"true fans don't want managers out as soon as the team starts getting bad results!"
>"I'm a good goy, that's why took the first option. See, I'm not a pathetic plastic!"
>Nah, here plastic fans almost don't exist and managers get fired after a couple months if they don't win, having the same manager for more than a year is quite odd
Same here in Brazil. But this is a pretty bad thing.
Some players take down coaches for personal reasons. If I were a team director, I would probably sell those players to a second division side and keep the manager.
>If the problem is every player it's easier to replace Mourinho with someone who can do better with the same players.
If it is the case that they are boycotting Mourinho, it is much better in the long run to sell Hazard and co. and buy a team with cheaper hungry players than giving bad apples more political power.
Not that I think it is the case, this time. Hazard did make an effort in the Liverpool game, for example.
The only player on the Chelsea team that would be hard to replace is Azpilicueta.
Didn't get what you were saying at first.
Still, 82% votes are pro-Mourinho and it's stupid, the manager clearly lost it and everybody knows that's he's done but just out of fake "loyalty" choose the first option.
Maybe they are not boycotting Mourinho, they are just not the players for his system. Maybe Mourinho actually pissed them off and he's in the wrong. Maybe it's not possible to sell and replace all the players (especially after this summer).
Because as much as I hate to say this, I don't think that between Mourinho and these players I would pick Mourinho, right now.
From what I've heard it's because Eva and Ivanovic were sleeping with eachother and he even kind of left his wife for her, some players took the side of Mourinho and other players took the side of Eva and Ivan over the sacking.
Nah, if Brani was behind this he wouldn't be playing every single game when he was fit. Tho I can imagine he didn't like the constant humiliation he had to go through while he was playing.
The players were this mentally weak last season as well, it's just that back then (almost) everything went the right way, now it's going in the wrong way.
>LOUIS VAN GAAL’S players are like robots, play disgusting football — and he is not the right man to manage Manchester United. That is the devastating verdict of Andrei Kanchelskis — who became the latest Old Trafford legend to slam LVG after Paul Scholes’ outburst last week.
Kane is the next all-time football GOAT, he'll be the face of football when Messi starts declining
Vardy is just another top English striker, he'd be the best forward by far for almost every other country in the world but in England he's just another great player
Vardy is the next all-time football GOAT, he'll be the face of football when Messi starts declining
Kane is just another top English striker, he'd be the best forward by far for almost every other country in the world but in England he's just another great player
Would be surprised if Kane ever makes it at a top club thb.
why are premier league defensive mids so shit compared to other leagues
There's Powell and Ramsey in the Championship, neither are very good though, the truth is there's only really like 15 managers in the premier league that constantly get rehired because of their experience, clubs don't want to risk it all on a new manager with no experience premier league, the other 5 or so managers are brought in from top leagues in other countries then end up fucking off after they get sacked.
>the truth is there's only really like 15 managers in the premier league that constantly get rehired because of their experience
Not trying to be rude not memeing here but that's why the premier league is so bad these days. Our league improved a lot since we started using recently retired players as managers, the best managers in our league are younger than 40
It's always interesting hearing what footballers have done after finishing playing. Jimmy Glass is now a taxi driver down south
>you'll never have a drunken taxi ride home hearing how your taxi driver scored one of the most famous league goals
Pennant is the answer to the quiz question "what english player has appeared in a champions league final without ever playing for england"
Ryan Bertrand was another answer but he's since gotten his england caps
That's the story of the HurriKane
But it won't be over till they clear his meme
And give him back the goals he's scored
Mocked on an imageboard but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.
>Steven Gerrard is in line for a sensational return to Liverpool following discussions with the club’s manager, Jürgen Klopp, The Independent can reveal.
>Klopp has spoken to the former captain several times on the telephone since arriving at Anfield last month. The manager is now convinced that Gerrard’s presence will help define the standards of professionalism he expects around Melwood, Liverpool’s training ground.
>Although Klopp has so far only debated the possibility of Gerrard training with Liverpool until 15 January when he is due back in the United States to rejoin Los Angeles Galaxy for pre-season, there is a chance of a formal playing agreement being brokered
FUCKING KEK. IT'S REAL.
>tbf it's good for football news and goal videos/gifs
Yeah I agree. They also have a board dedicated to streams which is also cool.
>The discussion itself is dogshit though
>The NFL has agreed a three-year deal with the Rugby Football Union to stage a minimum of three American football matches at Twickenham. The deal will start in October 2016, with the first series of fixtures to be announced later this year.
>The NFL already has an extended deal in place to stage a minimum of two games per year at Wembley until 2020.
>Also in London, the NFL reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this year to play at least two games per year at the Premier League club's new stadium from 2018.
America are literally trying to give away the NFL to us, they are realising how shit a sport it is
I didn't think martial had that good of a game to be honest but it was still strange to hook him off for fellaini when the game was at 0-0. seems like every game he's surrounded by at least 3 players, unfortunately the other players don't really take advantage of the space left behind
united were a lot better last night at least. that's the kind of performance I want to see against a team that does nothing but defend all game, not that shitty ineffective sideways passing we saw against palace and boro
I watched Real-PSG last night, but I've seen most of Utds games so far this season.
What do you make of Lingard?
He hardly seems good enough for a mid table team in my opinion, but somehow Van Gaal prefers him over Depay and Pereira.
wasteful in the first half, much better in the second half. close man of the match behind smalling for me
he's never going to be a ronaldo or anything, but he can become a decent squad player in the future. though right now I'd probably prefer januzaj getting the minutes that lingards getting, that loan to dortmund was such a dumb decision.
Loaning out Januzaj was indeed a blunder by Van Gaal and Utd.
Personally I feel like Fellaini is getting played so much because of a lack of squad depth, not just because of >muh hoofball.
I just don't understand Van Gaal's stubbornness.
He was so rational with the dutch team at the WC and with Ajax in 1995.
it's just loaning to dortmund of all teams that bothered me. he's never going to get regular playing time over there.
it's weird, a lot of people expected LVG to bring attacking football to united despite conceding a few goals, but it's been totally the opposite. united have only conceded 1 goal in the last 9.5 hours of football (if you don't count middlesbroughs penalties), and that 1 goal was a rebound from a penalty. but we've only scored 2 goals in that amount of time anyway
>he's never going to get regular playing time over there
The funny thing is that he's not starting, because a player United had previously sold back to them is in such good form recently.
I didn't even mean just United fans, it seems like every club has this same thing now where you have a portion of the fan base who claim to be more concerned with 'attractive' football than results.
If you're watching as a neutral. If I put Sky on I want to see an exciting game, when I go watch my club I want to see them win regardless of how they do it.
Not giving Reveillere a new contract but giving Brown another one, signing Matthews for £2m to replace Rev and then getting someone on loan to replace Matthews.
That and still existing.
If you're not the one out on the pitch playing then entertaining football should be very important to you.
If you're only interested in results then just skip the game and check the points at the end if the week
I didn't say I was only interested in results, I want to be there to see the team win. I just don't care how they do it, that's up to the manager to get the win however he thinks he can with the players he has.
>When people like Rio, Carra, Neville speak, I listen. When players who haven't that career? No. Robbie Savage being one.
what did he mean by this?
If I don't, who will?
And anyway, watching your team play like shite and get a win through refball or a fluke deflection is one of the great joys of being a football supporter, especially if you're part of a pathetically small away following.
Well not really, Savage has just wound him up and made him say something silly.
I'm sure Terry would say that Mou has proved himself as a top manager even if was never a top player.
Pochettino is more mature imo.
>AVB doesn't get the exact players he had at Porto: "Screw you guys, I quit! It's not my fault, you couldn't get the exact players needed to make my perfect system work!"
>Pochettino doesn't get a defensive midfielder: "Whatever, I'll just use Dier."
If you're winning in a shit way though it suggests an element of luck and shows a lack of improvement in the team.
The ultimate goal of any team should be the win whilst playing entertaining football, that's what the players want, it's what the managers want and it's what the fans want.
This desu. AVB is just Diet Mourinho. He gets results if you put him in charge of the richest teams, but he can't handle having limits on his transfer budget (look at the tantrums he's throwing now because Zenit couldn't get Moutinho). A club like PSG would be perfect for him.
I'm not sure that's entirely accurate, if you go from losing to fluking a win then it at least shows a defensive improvement. You've got to concede fewer goals in order for the element of luck to get you the win.
And I agree that it's the ultimate goal, but the winning comes first before you can build on it to win with style. And my complaining isn't really about clubs like United so much, because they have the resources there to get to the top. It's clubs where just getting the points is a big step, but the instant that starts happening you have fans who say, 'oh we won but why didn't we play like peak barca'.
which 2 teams of the top 5 do you want to get promoted lads?
Fair enough if you're talking about a small side whose primary aim is survival at all costs, Pulis is the master of this, and as we have seen at Stoke, the fans eventually expect progression once this first aim been achieved.
As for United, you can surely understand their frustration when they see the amount of money which has been invested yet there has been no progression.
To an extent, they're still in touch with the top sides playing as they are though.
I can completely understand that LVG must think that switching play style now would be a massive gamble in terms of keeping hold of that top four slot and not falling behind City and Arsenal.
remember when all the stoke fags were saying they were getting top 6 this season and how they are literally barcelona 2.0
Confident isn't the word but I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do
I'm expecting relegation but it might be a nice change to constant relegation battles, and it would be great to see Randy Lerner lose a shitload of money
>Watford being anti-QPR despite having the same transfer strategy
>How to fix your defense, Tottenham edition:
>Sell your defensive midfielders
>Sell your starting CB (who's also your team captain)
>Take your youngest backup CB and make him a defensive midfielder
Here. 11 games if you count all the tournaments.
Makes sense that he would want to go to a bigger club desu.
They did. They also promised each other that if one bwcame a manager at a professional club, they'd hire the other as their assistant. Both also list former Mainz manager Wolfgang Frank as one of their inspirations, who started out his management career here. That along with geographical proximity and a shared language is one of the reasons there's been a recent boom of Swiss footballers moving to the Bundesliga.
Training with an aim at a loan return
>mfw SlippyG returns to ruin Klopp
one question for you
i was following yannick bolasie on twitter and he was using hashtag FEK all the time (until he scored that hattrick and everyone paid attention suddenly)
what does #FEK means? mandem word for fuck?
back in the day I did a Big Sam edit of that, but I don't think I have it anymore
Pic related had some foreshadowing I guess
At least he might not go to the euros now
>bayern v arsenal
>neither side will park the bus
>bayern average 5.2 goals per home game
>arsenal motivated to win to avoid elimination
>bayern motivated to win to restore ego
>tfw you are your grandmas favourite grandchild out of about 15 grandchildren
>tfw not even the oldest/youngest
>tfw showered with love
>she always asks about me when phoning my dad (her son)
what did i do to be so loved
also i feel guilty
help me /epl/ it's like im wayne rooney and no matter how shit i am roy hodgson still makes me captain
Fix my team lads.
Got 1 transfer with 5.5 in the bank
Would preferably like to get Aguero back (I swapped him for Kane because glass hamstring)
I'd also like Ozil desu. Assist machine this year.
But then Darmian is suspended and have fuck all back up.
also need to purge Sako. Don't know why I have him
>With impeccable timing, QPR have sacked boss Chris Ramsey. Let me just check that they have thanked him for his efforts and wished him well for the future... yep. All done.
>Neil Warnock is in temporary charge.
>COLIN BACK AT QPR
>I doubt Bolton can afford to sack Lennon though.
>le 9 figure debt face
>this weekend at the Britannia
In the 89th minute with the game 0-0 Hazard gets fouled right outside the box just to the left of the area.
Up steps Willian. He places the ball down on and takes three paces back. The crowd at the Britannia is deafing but Willian he hears nothing. He doesn't see the snarling Potters in the crowd, no wall, no keeper.
Just a ball and the net.
He takes a deep breath, closes his eyes once more. He knows.
BOOM all his senses are surge as he runs up an rips a beautiful curler in to the top 90
He runs to the corner flag to celebrate and as he slides he revels his undershirt which has a message on it
"Fuck you /epl/"
Then what appeared to be a steward rips himself in half and Jose Mourinho appears. The crafty bugger hid himself once again and runs toward Willian whilst throwing middle fingers to everyone.
Roman ropes down from his helicopter in the middle of the pitch with a man with a black bag around his head. Rui Faria runs up and takes off the bag to reveal it's FA chairman Greg Dyke!
Rui and the rest of the coaching staff take turns kicking the head of the FA while Jose casually walks by and says "I have nothing to say"
Roman and him embrace and Chelsea go unbeaten for the rest of the season and win the Champions League.
And then the game gets abandoned in Stoke's favour, Chelsea are fined a 7 figure sum for interrupting the game and kidnapping and beating the head of the FA.
Mourinho loses it in the press conference entirely and breaks down into tears before resigning.
Chelsea then hire Brendan Rodgers until the end of the season who steadies them and finishes 11th while getting to the quarter finals of the CL and the final of the FA Cup, where they lose 3-2 to Middlesbrough after extra time following a 118th minute own goal by John Terry in his last game for the club.
"To lose both managers sends out a really strong message to those aspiring to get on this journey," said Townsend.
"People will look and think 'Is it worth it? Is it because of the colour of their skin? Or is it because they are bad managers?'
"I know people will say results are not right but there is a lot more to it than that."
