Best and worst feels from your favorite team?
seahawks win owl 48
seahawks lose owl 49
What a privileged fucking life you've had if this is the best and worst from your team. Whoop de fucking doo, I hope you and every other Seattle Seacock asshat gets a season where you go 0-16 but half the team is on IR so you understand what a fucking lost season really is
Best burrs: devin Hester running back a punt to beat the Cardinals in a miracle 4th quarter come back.
Worst: bears getting ref balled in week 17 to the Packers and miss the play offs in 13'.
>4th and 26 against McNabb
was a young lad and this was one of my first big playoff heartbreaks
or for a non-cliche answer
>coming back from a 24-3 halftime deficit without Rodgers against the Cowboys in the most kekworthy way imaginable
Will getting keked by literally Oklahoma again be the new worst feeling for Seahawk fans once they stop going to their games after this mediocre af season thus leading to a significant drop in profits.
>bears getting refballed
such a minor case of "ref ball" it isn't even worth mentioning, a slight hold is hardly ever called, Cobb couldn't have been any more wide open so thank Conte
that time Bo Jackson gave me a high five
>either game five of the series against Montreal where they won in 2OT in 2011 (was at TD garden) or game 7 against the cankeks
Joe Thorton trade or losing to flyers in game 7 after being up 3-0 in 2010
Last year regular season
* BEST: Team of the 80's, man... though the Harbaugh years were some of the best in recent times.
* WORST: NOW. Everything happening now.
* BEST: They got into the playoffs last year...!
* WORST: Uh... the game against the Eagles in the snow, where their 4th Quarter lead—and the rest of their year—disintegrated
Patriots win Super Bowl XXXVI
Winning Super Bowl XLIX very close second
Choking against the Clots in 06 giving Manning a pass to his only Super Bowl win facing Rax and the burrs is in a slightly distant second
best for me was Miracle at the New Meadowlands, vick played his heart out
iggles have played some of the most buttdevastating troll games, shame they've never been able to do much more
At least your team won't get relegated and possibly face administration.
And you'll get top picks next draft anyway.
Seriously, anyone who complains about their NFL team having a "bad season" should SHUT THE FUCK UP
Best: Winning an owl and knowing Rodgers still has a lot of career left
Worst: The fucking NFC championshit game last year. I was so mad I couldn't even feel mad.
I definitely chimped out more during the fail mary though.
I was very happy during that comeback against the Broncos in the 2013 regular season (obviously sad when they lost in the playoffs).
I was sad when randy moss left. It was under less than ideal circumstances. I'm sure I'll also be sad when mayo inevitably goes after this season.
Frankly, I don't know how you do it. What's the point of rooting for one team that's basically playing against Roman abramovich's bankroll? Bill gates could buy some random team tomorrow and win everything within 4 years.
>best and worst of your team are within a 2 year period
HOLY FUCK RG3 IS AMAZING GOAT GOAT GOAT FINALLY A QUARTERBACK WHO ISN'T SHIT
OT win against Rasm in 2003
Do I need to say it?
"and it's 20 consecutive victories for the Athletics!"
SLIDE JEREMY YOU FUCKING IDIOT
As a Lions fan that started watching in 2011, my fondest moment might be last year against the Packers. Last game of the season - the "Title Game". Not just winner of the division, but determining who gets the number 2 seed. Both teams 11-4. Best the Lions have been in eons.
Lions go 3 and out quick after Matthews sacks Stafford. Then a shitty punt by Sam Martin. Lacy and Starks start ripping up the field, tearing ass down the markers and pretty quickly the Lions are back up to the goal line.
The Packers had them up against the endzone right on the fucking goal line, and the Lions stopped them. Four times. Except on the fourth down, someone on the Lions held or something, so the Packers got a new set of downs, still on the one fucking inch line. The Lions stopped them four more fucking times, and the Packers turned the ball over on downs. 7 downs, and the Lions kept Rodgers from scoring right on their doorstep.
Honestly I think that was the proudest moment for me. I've never loved them more. I even found the play-by-play:
>(10:13) (No Huddle, Shotgun) 44-J.Starks up the middle to DET 5 for 2 yards (90-N.Suh).
>(9:34) (No Huddle, Shotgun) 27-E.Lacy up the middle to DET 2 for 3 yards (90-N.Suh).
>(8:54) (No Huddle, Shotgun) 12-A.Rodgers pass incomplete short middle to 87-J.Nelson. PENALTY on DET-32-J.Ihedigbo, Defensive Pass Interference, 1 yard, enforced at DET 2 - No Play.
>(8:49) 65-L.Taylor and 73-J.Tretter reported in as eligible. 30-J.Kuhn left guard to DET 1 for no gain (96-A.Fluellen).
>(8:03) 73-J.Tretter reported in as eligible. 12-A.Rodgers pass incomplete short right to 81-A.Quarless.
>(7:57) (Shotgun) 12-A.Rodgers pass incomplete short right to 87-J.Nelson.
>(7:50) 27-E.Lacy left tackle to DET 1 for no gain (94-E.Ansah). Yard marker changed due to change of possession.
Lost the game, but this is something I'll always remember.
>Back to back owls
>Getting BTFO in the owl like 5 times, two of which were literally records of loss margin
2011 Superbowl victory
2008 loss to the Giants. Brett Favre's last play as a Packer was a pick.
witnessing all three back to back to back walk off homers live
Super Bowl XLI
Tough call. Jeff George years were pretty bad, 2011 was horrendous but expected given manning and the only okay backup were hurt, and this season is one of the biggest letdowns in a while. In the end I think I'd go with 2011 though. Even if expectations were as low as possible it's still rough to watch your team start 0-13.
>best: Hester's return for touchdown as the opening play in superbowl 8 years ago
>worst: 4th and 8
Best: Seeing our defense mentioned with respect last season
Worst: Everything about this season except for Ziggy
2011 postseason run.
Being a Cardinals fan is spoiled as fuck. I guess 2007 sucks in the sense that it's the only season since 2000 that the cards finished under .500 in. Most disappointing thing in my lifetime was probably getting swept by the sox, but they got a ring two years later anyway. Feels good man.
For basedball, it would be
>now-deceased grandfather took me to Arlington Stadium to see Hough and Ryan pitch
>catch a goddam fly ball, Nellie
We seem to agree on that last one.
Crushing the Bengals with our third string QB in the post season
Expecting greatness in 2013, but experiencing only severe pain.
Sweeping the >rags in games 160, 161, & 162 to claim the AL West by a single game over the >rags.
Pretty much every A's postseason series that took give games to complete.
>be awkward preteen kid, not very close with dad
>dad is from boston, started watchin pats games with him around 2000, when Goat Brady started
>dad gets really into the 18-0 season
>my dad is ecstatic about it looking like they were going to win an undefeated owl
>really good bonding moment
>he was layed off from his job, we were very poor for a few years there, etc, this was a huge boost for him
>eli fucks their shit up
>dad gets fucking irate, literally throws the remote through our pretty expensive trophy case, realizes what he did and drives to get (more) booze
>last year's owl
>best friend and college roommate is a legitimate shecock fan from des moines near seattle
>comes down to >me vs >him
>lots of people around campus and in our department know about our two team preferences, they throw a HUGE superbowl party
>we make bet, loser has to put opponents jersey on, get on one knee, profess their homo love for the other QB and take a shot of the winner's choice. vid will go on FB
>giving up in 4Q, ready to take shot
>Butler saves the earth
>call up dad drunk AF and we talk for 30 mins about the game
Yeah, good fucking job Favre. My worst sports memory came two weeks after that.
The Ron Rivera/Cam Newton years have been pretty dope. That or the 2003 NFCCG.
I'm inclined to say the Super Bowl loss to the Pats, but I think the worst is honestly the Cardinals eviscerating Jake Delhomme and ending his career.
That single game kicked off the dark and hopeless post-Delhomme years.
When I heard the Browns were coming back
When Art Modell died.
Every Season since the Browns came back.
Best: Pryor's game against the steelers, Wi against Kansas last year.
Wort: Everything else untill Carrmander came to town.
>not the 1-15 year
>not the year with Cheddar Bob as our QB
Beating the Cowboys in the 98 wildcard
Beating Seattle at CLink 17-10
Losing to Santonio Holmes' toes
The whole stretch of seasons 99-08
The post Kurt Warner era
Saints headhunting Kurt Warner
Seahawks obliterating us 58-0
Palmer going down last season after going 6-0
97 and 98 owl
Giving Tom Brady his 1st playoff loss in '06
Getting rid of Tebow and getting Manning
Losing to the Ravens due to Dragon Master Joe
Watching Josh McDaniels destroy the team
Started watching Cowboys a lot more when Bledsoe was announced to be our starter
>Dallas beating Philly 3 times in one season
A tie between the 2007 play-off game against the Giants, or the botched field-goal snap
lions clutch playoffs
pistons win championship
pistons trade chauncey and mcdyess for severely shitty 2008 Iverson
red wings win in '02, '08
no bad feel kek
Tigers sweep the yankees in '06 as a wildcard team
Tigers get hot as fuck in both the '06 and '12 playoffs and cool off before the WS because it takes so fucking long between series and get btfo both times
all the time
>implying I feel anything towards them
Worst: allan houston shot
best:ray allen shot
Good feels: that last second win against the cowboys, beating the pack at lambeau
Bad feels: just about everything else
worst also pic related being THE bust of all time and not drafting dwyane wade or chris bosh (or melo even though he would never have fit on the Go To Work era pistons)
TRUE worst single moment as a developing adolescent: sheed not guarding fucking robert horry on that three
Best: The entire 2013 season really but the Wild Card game in particular. After the total kick in the dick that was the 2012 season (and to a much lesser extent the 2011 season) to finally put together an entire season of solid baseball, break the 20 year streak, win a playoff game behind one of the best baseball crowds I've ever seen, and even give the Cardinals a hell of a series in the NLDS -- I don't think anything short of winning the World Series could top 2013 for me.
Worst -- I dunno, pick anything from the Dave Littlefield era I guess.
-everything on both sides
-having to be a fan of all these philly teams
sweeping the Cardinals in 4 in our first ever postseason matchup
Watching Favre in basically any game
Whenever Rodgers gets hurt
that goal line stand against stanford
getting btfo in the national championship
pretty much everything else in my lifetime
Either pick related or completing the 1995 play offs with the largest total margin of victory in league history (completing the most dominant post season any team has ever had).
Snapping our undefeated Superbowl streak because of a botched PI call on our final offensive play of the game.
>4th quarter of super bowl 49
>fucking David Tyree, literally 3 holds on the giants, no call?Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I laughed so hard when that happened, saw it live, goddamn, I remember thinking, holy shit its gonna happen, and then I see desean Jackson waving his hands, and it fucking happened. Dusk tom coughlin, I will forever remember him throwing the clipboard down in rage
Best is Greatest Show on Turf and getting a replica trophy from the team with my name engraved on it.
Worst was the 9 year stretch after 2006. Good fucking God. Thank fuck things are actually looking up, though.
>>best friend and college roommate is a legitimate shecock fan from des moines near seattle
>des moines near Seattle
62-7 win over Miami that ended Marino's career
The week after, when the thumbtacks stole >our playbook
