Why are children allowed to play a sport that kills more people a year than sharks do in 3 years
>Coaches told deputies with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office the boy was not participating in a contact practice. It was a walk through practice only.
Nice leading picture though. That kid would've died playing any other sport that involved running, he just really sucked at moving around and it got to him.
It's why we love it.
There's a chance of dying.
You same fuckers will play /pol/& say meme sjw all the fuck around.
It won't be women that stop the glory that is Handegg. It will be you pussified men.
Ahmed probably meant to say that in cycling falling or crashing into other things isn't a part of the sport while colliding against each other is essential in football, so it's more 'accidental' in that way.
It's still a retarded argument though
This. Maybe we should be asking why kids are so unhealthy that they'll die from sprints. Either he had a heart defect, and this was going to happen at some point anyway, or he didn't exercise and ate like shit.
I guarantee that obesity related illness kills a lot more people than football.
I'm on your side, and you still sound like a fucking idiot. A kid may accidentally fall of his bike. Football players don't accidentally slam into each other. The intent matters.
That could be the real reason,I hope the parents are pinned to blame for this mess.It seems the kid had family issues at home thus unwanted stress built in him prior to his death.
sharks are awesome
sharks are one of nature's greatest killing machines
shark awesomeness correlates directly with how well they kill
therefore if it kills more than a shark, its even more awesome
The extreme scarcity of shark attacks being even more extreme than the scarcity of football-related deaths does not somehow make the football risk larger.
We let millions and millions of children swim in the ocean every year. Relax.
True, the more accidental it is, the less dead you are.
Now answer his question. I'll hold back on asking why exposing your kids to known risks of bicycling is somehow more defensible than exposing them to the known, lower, risks of football.
>A kid may accidentally fall of his bike. Football players don't accidentally slam into each other. The intent matters.
In what way? You don;t seem to be able to explain WHY, you just keep repeating your assertion.
>all these people responding
>not even reading the article
>kid died because he had some kind of irregular heartbeat that fucked him up when he was running sprints
>literally one of those unfortunate things that just happen sometimes
>article makes it full on clickbait by associate the death with football in the headline, and not specifying it was a non-contact practice
>op does the same thing
>but people are too fucking impatient/stupid to actually read the thing before responding or forming an opinion to the fucking op
just fuck off, all of you
>pure, absolute freedom of choice
>strive to enslave
I wonder who's behind this post...
>inb4 anger over clipart sharks
>jokes on you i was only pretending
It's not just about deaths you fucking moron, it's about injuries. Parents shit on their kids for doing "unhealthy" things like playing video games or watching netflix, then encourage them to do something objectively more dangerous. I played hockey in high school and in college - I'd rather my kid was a couch potato during his adolescent years than play a contact sport and be a literal potato when he is 40.
People treat serious injuries like torn ligaments, muscles, and broken bones as if they're not a big deal. There's nothing wrong with letting your kid play a contact sport if he's interested in it, but the mentality that they're somehow more healthy than other activities in ridiculous.
Why are people allowed to watch a sport that kills more people in a year than sharks do in 24 years?
OUT OF MY WAY YOU SELACHIMORPHA FUCKING SHITS
>every sport that's fun to do gives you concussions and brain damage
Because football is inherently, purposely dangerous. You are supposed to ram your body into other players. Obviously then, injuries, including concussions, are to be expected. So a wise parent would say no way, pick another sport.
On the other hand bike riding and swimming are all about having fun. Yes, accidents can happen as with anything in life, but bike riding isn't based on constantly crashing and hoping you don't get concussed, nor is swimming based on constantly almost drowning and hoping this time isn't your last.
It's like walking through the white part of town and getting mugged, or walking through the black part of town and getting mugged. You'll get sympathy if you did the former but everyone will think you had it coming and were an idiot who did it to yourself if you did the latter.
