nationals hire Dusty Baker
royals fans continue to meme
Go Rays btw
Reminder that Eric Hosmer will now be receiving a World Series ring and there's nothing anyone could do about it.
their biggest fan hopes big moves are made.
Reminder your fanbase is a tub of shit
Reminder there are no fans better than royals fans
Reminder twice the amount of KCs total population showed up to the parade
Stay cukced MLB
So, who is going to steal Trout's MVP this year?
Mollina I love that guy he's really good. And he's a good sport too, he's really skill and a nice guy too. He fit's in with the super smart fans at Cardinals, they are all very smart and can talk about the 1980 team if needs be.
Reminder that Mike Moustakas (The MOOOOOSE) will now be receiving an MLB Championship (World Series) ring that he will have to cherish (for life) regardless of what you have to say about it. I will remind you that all other 29 teams had an opportunity to stop this from happening, but they were unable to do so.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE, fully unironically
Kiss the ring you little bitch child
ON YOUR KNEE BITCH
>mfw other fanbases still mad as fuck
>mfw I know they wish they were #royal
>low ball Bud Black
>end up paying even more for Dusty Baker
On your knees, inferior shit
>another year of tanking before moving into the new park
This is too cute, but you got to stop man. it's embarrassing.
You're full of shit.
Kiss the ring bitch
Get ready for the dynasty, let's see if you call us embarassing when we win 4 world series in a row
Should be two by now if bumgarner didn't fluke out in the playoffs last yeAR
If I was this year we would have swept that shit team and city out of the water
>living in the past
Pucker up bitch, before I put my boot to your throat and force you to do it myself
>mfw the mest fans were chanting, "Harvey! Harvey! Harvey!" going into the 9th
>Posts "our daily reminder that 5 years ago, the entire city of KC was Tardinals fans."
> Get called on his bulshit
>Backpedals "bubububu 2015 boundaries!" which is now 25% of Missouri.
You're the retard here.
Stop backpedaling. I called out your shit.
>Your daily reminder that 5 years ago, the entire city of KC was Tardinals fans.
you're the retard here, Look at your map again before you start spewing bullshit.
this is just plain retarded. KC is not a split city like chicago or new york. a large majority of people in kansas city loathe st louis. do you think bears fans bandwagon the packers when the bears suck?
I mean you are going to reply with yes as bait but you know you are wrong
DAILY REMINDER THAT DUSTY BAKER LITERALLY SAID THIS
"On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage. Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me. The problem we have to address more than anything is the home run problem."
>they think baseball managers make more than a slight difference in a team's outcome.
I don't mean to harp on your quaint little meth village but Missouri is essentially a city based on population when compared to New York or Chicago. Now I've never been to KC but I distinctly remember my brother saying when he visited in 2007 that it was all Cardinals gear and he didn't see a single Royals hat or jersey.
You clearly watched zero met games until the WS. Terry Collins' awful bullpen management and generally poor decision making was a major problem for the mets all season. If they had lost in the NLCS they wouldn't resigned him
dunno lol sometime last season i guess
Will Shapiro get the brilliance that is Munenori Kawasaki? Pls dont go Muni... ;_;
>AH AMA DRAHNK WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>colon, uribe, cespedes, murphy all leaving
>still owned by the wilpons
>still managed by collins
>awful farm system.
>no tradeable assets
>dumpster fire clubhouse
>hiring dusty baker
>no. 7 farm system
>hamels prospects already part of the rotation
>1st overall pick
>crawford, knapp, williams, thompson getting called up in 2016
>solid new gm
>burying howard's corpse this year
Get on the bandwagon now
>hiring a nigger whose name is Dusty
>hiring a nigger at all
>hiring a manager with a penchant for losing when it matters
>hiring a manager who has a reputation for ruining pitchers
>hiring a manager who is anti-sabr
>forcing the nigger to take a cheap deal
Holy shit, what an awful team.
Haha very funny retard. You know what I meant. The royals weren't good that year dumbass so of course most people in Kansas City (a Missouri city) are going to have on Cardinals shit.
>mfw there's literally not a pic with all their rings because they just won their second one
diehard royals fan here
i keep thinking back to that brilliant play by hosmer in the 9th. I think it was the best play of the season.
Yost and his coaching staff are the best in baseball when it comes to scouting. They knew how weak of an arm Wright has, and the way Duda throws the baseball it was obvious he would throw to that catcher's right (forget his name)
If they could give an MVP to coaches, it would be for whoever did those scouting reports on the mets defense.
Exactly, definition of bandwagon. Jumping on the team that's better. You never see true fans switch allegiance even if their team is absolute shit.
If The Cardinals somehow start to suck badly for the next decade, they will still fill that stadium. If The Royals somehow start to suck next year, the stadium will be half as full.
and keith law thinks their farm system is the 2nd best in baseball and it could get any better if a couple 2015 draftees and international guys have good debuts in A ball
>Should be two by now if bumgarner didn't fluke out in the playoffs last yeAR
How much does this image trigger you?
Braves fans forget just how bad their farm system was going into last offseason.
They made good moves at the deadline but by and large its a lot of above average players. I think the only top 100 prospect in your entire system is Albies and he's still at the single A level.
Is a fair dig, they were easily the worst second half team in baseball.
see above on the farm system.
Tha'ts an absurdly dumb claim if you look at the actual prospects in comparison to the rest of the league.
one of the funniest things I've ever seen desu senpai
I wanted the mets to win that game for the first 8 innings, take the series to 7 games ideally, but after verducci went off about how he's only seen something like that once before and the crowd going crazy for Harvey I really wanted nothing more than for him to completely blow it, kek
Holy shit you're right.
Presuming his arm doesn't fall off after pitching 230 innings, do they start Harvey? He's gotta be shot mentally after that
Murphy and cespedes walking could mean those starters don't get a lick of run support next season
Aaron Nola will not last as a productive starting pitcher past early 2017
And I will stay up and watch every game
You're only deluding yourself if you actually think Dusty Baker somehow made pitchers magically explode their arms
When Strasburg fails again, it will be because he has already and because of his mechanics which leads to horrific timing issues + high high high velocity that aggravates it
Wisler and Toussaint were also top 100 at the deadline. Folty, Jenkins, Ruiz, and Fried were in Law's 100. If Fried can come back from Tommy John it's likely that'l end up a top 50 prospect. Kolby Allard, Austin Riley, and I think Mike Soroka are all in the 150 range. Isranel Wilson and Ronald Acuna might be too.
Why didn't degrom start game one, rest?
The wilpons are the cheapest owners in sports, and there's no way Murphy takes a discount unless his value really took that much of a hit. Some AL team is going to pay him a fuckload to DH
Holy shit. Beanballs pls
>yfw somehow Smarch ends up on the mets and goes right after Cain again that series
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
I'd rather get a manager who would actively attempt NOT to fuck shit up, over just letting it happen
We literally just saw this managerial style clash in the WS.
You're delaying the inevitable only somewhat slightly at the best
Most, if any, teams, are not taking full cautionary measures to protect pitchers like Strasburg, just innings count really which is inherently flawed and maybe some routine arm exercises that pitchers work on
You can't reliably project single A and lower talent, so many guys struggle when they get to double and triple. For better or worse thats where most of the talent is.
Toussaint is the only front of the rotation guy I see out of that group. Maybe Fried if he makes a good recovery.
Only other guy I've read about is Ruiz and he's hit or miss with a lot of scouts.
If you don't recognize this man you didn't enjoy that mets loss as much as you could've
Everyone just chill the fuck out on Royals fans. They've waited 12 long months for this moment. Let them celebrate and get it over with, they'll go fade back into obscurity in a couple years and put their Cardinals jerseys back on.
Why not Allard? He'd be at least a top 10 pick if there was a redraft now that teams wouldn't be as concerned about his back.
The Braves have enough guys with potential in high and low A that at least one or two should become top 50 guys
Also Kiley McDaniel (I think) said that Albies is pretty much as low risk as player at his level can be
Hey bros, huge Royaks fan here but I have a serious question: where's a cheap site I can buy a jersey? Also, are jerseys the same size as like t shirts or is there an equivalent size to tshirts? I wear a medium
Albies is easily the best player in the system, and really I think 30 nationally is pretty low for him. You'll see him shoot up the rankings as he progresses through AA and AAA.
I can't believe how high they ranked Allard, considering he's been playing at the minor league level for all of 3 months. So much can happen with these young guys between now and next season that its a stretch to say he's a front of the rotation guy.
Who do they have at high A? The 10 ten for the org looked like all low A-rookie ball guys to me
>my face when we're in day three of the ass crisis
>my actual verifiable face when the Kansas City Royals won the World Series and all the false-flagging in the world can't take it away
better luck next season when you can Lose The Right Way all over again
Is the league ready for another J-rol?
>mfw our current catcher has the same amount of rings as your entire 46 year old organization
I mean likely starting at high A next year so Touki, Davidson, and Albies.
Dustin Peterson played at A+ last season he's guy I'm really hopeful for. He put up some pretty good numbers before he got injured, along with every other halfway decent prospect on the team, in a bus crash
Albies was such a steal. Our international guys have done really well over the last three years and we're about to sign like half the top ten next July 2
If this guy is fit to manage the Washington Nationals, I'm qualified to be Secretary General of the United Nations.
All puerto ricans sound like that Tbh. The most retarded sounding catcher in all of baseball is definitely Salvador Perez. Sometimes I think they interview him just as comedic relief.
What do you #kiss the ring false flaggers have to say to this?
Holy shit it's like opening up a treasure trove of lost repressed memories.
The organizational scouting for the braves has always been so good, feels like Albies came out of nowhere. What happened to the farm in the first place? Feels like just a couple years ago it was the best in baseball
I'm familiar with how 4chan works. I'm aware that you're allowed to be a racist and no one can stop you. I'm also aware, however, that racism is a bad thing subscribed to by bad people.
>playing MLB: The Show 15
>Terry Collins comes out onto the field to argue
>he's at least a head taller than the umpire
I was getting BTFO but that made me laugh out loud.
Bad drafting. Wren drafted a bunch of low ceiling high floor guys and the high ceiling players didn't really pan out. He really only hit on 1 first or second rounder since 2010, though Davidson and Sims could still be good major leaugers. Most international players busted. A lot of really good scouts and development guys left cause of Wren. The only noteworthy prospect he traded away since 2010 on was Bradon Drury and he was just a throw in at the time.
I remember how big of a deal it was when Heyward came up. Really the whole division was more interesting then with Phils rotation, strasburg debut, mike Stanton coming up.
Good times man
Watching Heyward's first homer still sends chills down my spine. It's probably one of my favorite baseball moments
Hopefully our rivalry can return to /sp/ one day. I had so much fun arguing with you guys.
Went to parade, 10th & Oak, saw it all.
I know I should hate the bandwagon but fuck it, everyone is excited. Downtown businesses were raking in big bucks on a Tuesday, good on them.
It was fun, once in a lifetime. We're only a few years removed from me buying $.73 tickets on Stubhub for my friends & I for a last series of the year rainy game & there is a good chance those days will be back sooner than later but fuck if I'm not gonna enjoy this now.
In the heart of the bandwagon (2010-2012), Phillies fans were the absolute worst fanbase on the internet. There is nothing comparable.
Like 200 phillies blogs would pop up every day with these assholes just going on and on about their rotation and the "dynasty" in the making. Sucks because I thought the players were actually a pretty likable group.
The Royals are the ultimate troll team. No one wanted to see them win, because it just proves how big of fuck tards the rest of MLB is if they can't assemble a better team with all the money in the world. It proves you need to have team chemistry and develop players that want to play together instead of having a bunch of big contracts and egos in the lineup.
Why so salty, /mlb/?
Yo, since WE won the Whirls Eerie shit been so relaxed. All you butthurt fans...I used to be you. Mad. With that being said, kiss the ring. Eric Hosmer, Dyson, Cueto, Salvy, and my nigga Kelveeeeeeen all got meme haircuts and matching rings. Let's it sink it bitch niggas. And I fully realize, you are all extra mad because you thought last season was a fluke so you showed all that
>i want the royals to win...they are so lovable and small market
then your teams tried to fight US at the beginning of the season and now your butthurt because you don't see this team losing next year either.
KFC, he's the New York blogger for Barstool sports. His teams are the Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Islanders so he's an all around miserable personality, with most of his stuff being about how terrible it is to be a mets/jets fan.
As the postseason went on, he slowly became more and more of a cocky asshole about the mets.
This is the peak right here, right after game 3 of the NLCS he was just a complete dick to the Chicago guy. Leading up to the WS he kept blogging about how the Royals are a joke team and that the mets pitching would expose their lineup.
Following his twitter was amazing during the WS, he just completely reverted to a miserable asshole by the end of game three. Their performance in the WS was everything he bitched about during the season too; Crappy defense, crappy lineup, and terry collins making stupid moves. It perfectly encapsulated all of his blogging over the years.
Most of the ones spamming are the bandwagon Royals fans who just think its funny to push the meme.
The Royals are actually a legit team, and if you actually had watched from when they were losing 100 games and saw the development of the club then it was actually worth it to wait for them to get good. You can't really enjoy the championship if you just hopped on the bandwagon once they won the wild card game last year.
Sigh, Cards fan here who went to the parade. Not to start trouble, but to have a beer and talk some baseball with passionate Royals fans.
I was looking forward to getting their thoughts on how the team Dayton Moore defied sabermetric thinking. All I got in response was,
"Uh, isn't that some kind of animal that hunted cavemen?"
After a long silence, the Royals fans screamed, "Mooooossseee!"
Royals fans aren't capable of talking baseball. They can only think in memes.
Just goes to show you the lesson I learned long ago
Never ever have hope in your team
>Most of the ones spamming are the bandwagon Royals fans who just think its funny to push the meme.
>The Royals are actually a legit team, and if you actually had watched from when they were losing 100 games and saw the development of the club then it was actually worth it to wait for them to get good. You can't really enjoy the championship if you just hopped on the bandwagon once they won the wild card game last year.
Nope. I sat through all them garbage ass Kevin Appier years. At one point my favorite player was sorry ass Gary Gaetti. This is not like the Royals were kind of bad, we were irrelevant and setting records for being bad. Do we need to trot out Kyle Davies and his historically worst pitcher ever stats? With that being said, our cockiness will calm down in a couple weeks, but we enjoying this shit in full obnoxia...that should be a word. I'm making it one. And I think we can add, "i'm the reasonable fan, I apologize" fan to the list of worst types of fans.
Their AAA won the championship at least once, maybe twice over the last few years. Then they started shipping all the players to KC and thats when their run started.
Players like Moustakas and Hosmer had been in the farm system for years. Hell Moustakas was considered a bust before last years playoffs, and Hosmer was just an average hitter. They somehow developed into what they were supposed to be over the last couple years.
KC also traded away uber prospect Will Myers to get James Shields and Wade Davis, which turned out to be the right move in the end, although it was criticized. Myers was also one of their highly touted players in the farm system, all those high draft picks because they were so shitty for years senpai
>hey guys i'm a cards fan at a royals parade
>hey guys I trotted out the most trolling question possible and I'm mad that I basically got ignored
>hey guys while at the parade I got jumped by a pack of niggers
So many sorry ass old washed up veterans they signed for years, lel
Also trading away Carlos Beltran, Jermaine Dye, Zack Greinke before their rise to becoming championships, the owner seriously didn't give a fuck for the longest time
you shitposted harder in regular season yankees jays series threads than the royals did after winning the eries. not to mention the complete invasion of royals threads late in the season
not to mention the amplification effect of the 'anti-america' thing, every single canadian who's ever posted on this board would join the shitposting and probably even random foreigners as well.
Yep. I distinctly remember hearing the guys on 810 have full shows about "what's on the horizon" . I remember them talking about Salvador Perez being a potential beast. Is Bubba Starling even needed at this point, or is he even with the team anymore?
Once you get south of maybe Belton, you can have them rednecks. Belton to St Joe, and Blue Springs to what, Lawrence? we'll that's all we need. And our friends in Peyton Manning favorite town.
What did he mean by this?
I agree with this and I'm not even a Royals fan. After seeing how bad they were for so long and for their farm system to plan out and succeed in such a big way, Royals fans deserve all the happiness they can get to make up for 30 years of misery.
On the same side of that coin, for all the shit that I've seen /sp/ give royals fans over the years, they deserve to also shitpost as revenge for all that shit. tenfold. This is 30 years of frustration come raging out like a tsunami. And it's all your fault /sp/.
If the cubs or dodgers ever win the World Series while /sp/ is still active, /sp/ would literally implode in on itself because pic related
They'll have rat-faced but physically fit children and she'll divorce him for half his money and his World Series ring(s) and he'll drink himself stupid to the point where he openly threatens people over Twitter regarding debts owed
10 years of misery after the highest elation a fan can feel. I'm at that point where I'm so conflicted now.
and this nigga Hosmer took the "trophy" to a Chiefs game a couple weeks ago. For those that don't know Aaron Murray Chiefs 3rd string QB used to date Kacie Mcdonell and Hosmer kucked him. This nigga Hosmer is be doin shit.
The Royals had been the very epitome of IRRELEVANCE for the last 3 decades. More irrelevant than the Rays and Padres combined. At least the Blue Jays had Roy Halladay. Who did the Royals have?
Now /sp/ is suddenly crawling with Royals fags? Where were you guys back in 2012 when a Royals game thread would have more than 10 posts, by the time the game was over?
My mom is a receptionist at the penthouse Ned Yost lives in and Greinke came in to use the gym with Ned's pass. Mom asked him why he was in town and he said Ned was showing him around and getting him back out to the stadium to see old friends.
AKA they're trying to court him with that dank World Series money
I very rarely post in gamethreads because I'm usually watching the game and will be able to hold a more thorough discussion afterwards.
I recognize that some people like to sit at their computers and post "BUNCHA BANGERS!!! BIG RINGS!!!!" on Reddit while the game's going on, and that's fine. It's only been two months for most of you and the novelty will soon wear off.
Just a reminder, Jason Pierre-Paul still has enough fingers to wear all of the Royals rings on his right hand.
20+ years here. I remember my dad taking my brother and I to games at Cleveland Memorial.
I wish it had happened in 1995. It would've been so fitting after over 40 years of playoff drought.
I just want one.
All he did was ask her where the gym was and said he was using Ned's card. She asked what he was doing here on the way to the weight room. It was like a 2 minute conversation I'm sure he could've handled it
i just remember flipping through channels and decided to watch the baseball game
it was the Giants at Cubs
idk why i kept watching I didnt even know the rules or anything. but i kept watching the games for the rest of the season and slowly learning the rules.
mfw 2002 WS game 6
then 2003 NLDS
My dad works at the subway that all the KC players go to after games, and pepe the frog came in with Moose's credit card. My dad asked him what he was doin' in town and pepe said he goes to where all the memes hang out.
If 2016 is a complete disaster, like 2013 level disaster, then yeah, they'll probably trade Sale away along with everyone else and basically completely explode the team and try again. At that rate, we'd be well into the 2020s by then and I'd be well in my 30s before this team makes the postseason again.
God fucking damn it all being a fan of this team hurts so much.
I know the feels man. My first memories of baseball was eating Big Kahunas (chocolate chip cookie sandwich with ice cream in the middle) at the old Busch with my famm watching McGwire chase the HR record. Good times, man. I still have the same hat from those days.
What other fun stuffs happened during the ceremony?
Did they try to outdo the Warriors on goofy celebrations?
Post some Salvy or Esky, seeing the same shooped Pepe or cat is boring on every image.
My parents and grandparents have supported the Royals their whole lives faggot. Plus the Greinke Era was not even that long ago. People still wear Greinke jerseys to the games. I still have this one cool shirt
You poor, stupid people
My perspective is that seeing where this team is heading we won't be back into the postseason until mid 2020s which will be almost 20 years since 2008 the last year we made the postseason. God knows when we'll even see competent baseball again instead of this clown show on the field in recent years.
The whole 2005 is what makes this whole situation sadder as well. 10 years since a championship and they only went back to the postseason in 1 time of those 10 and only had a winning record 2 years of those 10.
Even when I went to the 2005 10 year anniversary celebration this (technically last) season, I could see the sadness in the fans eyes who basically while watching the steep contrast between the world series highlights on the screen and the bumbling group of AA players on the field wondering what the fuck went wrong. And Ventura still isn't fucking fired. And KW is still running the show despite a 2 postseason record in 15 years.
So don't talk to me about perspective.
Jonny Gomes shit on Carlos Correa, Dallas Kuechel and Josh Donaldson while cutting a promo holding an American flag.
Also before Cain stepped up to the mic Alcides Escobar said "thank you Zack Greinke"
Salvy was just salvy. He started a chant of his own name.
After Vin Scully retires at the end of next season, there will literally be no redeeming qualities about the entire Los Angeles Dodgers organization and their fanbase.
Refute this without using memes (you fucking can't)
>implying I'm reading all of this
I sincerely hope you have to wait 70 more years. Old school White Sox fans must think you're a little cunt after just a decade.
I knew KC has always been a true baseball town deep down at it's heart and this just proves it.
800,000-1,000,000 people showing up to the parade. That is almost 50% of the entire population of KC's metro.
KC would never celebrate this big with the Chiefs.
This is, has, and ALWAYS will be a baseball town.
You idiot, the point is that it's not just a decade. If they up and won this year, then it would be decade, but they didn't. And they won't next year and who knows for god knows how long. So it's isn't "just a decade"
>lived in southern Missouri and only went to games when the senpai could afford it
Went as a baby, as a 6 year old, moved to Atlanta and saw them at Turner multiple times, finally went to Busch III for the first time last year right after we got lackey and mastershit
I'm going to try and see them at Busch next year and try and catch them at the new SunTrust in 2017
I'm sorry if I expect my team to at least try to be competitive in the decades after winning the world series. Is that honestly too much to ask?
>KC would never celebrate this big with the Chiefs.
If the Chiefs won a Superbowl it would definitely be a more violent celebration. The Chiefs definitely mean more to the true sports fan of the city. The Royals definitely appeal to the people who just want to casually and generically cheer for a team. And I agree it wouldn't be that big, but that smaller hardcore Chief fanbase would definitely ward off all the bandwagoners and casuals. We 3-5 and I'm still sittin here like a dumbass thinking about "if we just get back to 5-5" my hope for the Chiefs winning an owl is sickening at this point.
My salvy and esky shots are video, and i'm not sure if i want to convert to webm, so here is some yost
Looking at Baseball history, yes. It's normal for teams to go completely backwards after winning a ship and it doesn't matter because they won a ship. Look at the Marlins. Look at the Phillies. The giants are an outlier case ans even then they missed the playoffs between their wins but it is extremely rare for teams to sustain success after a championship. So shut up already.
>tfw with how bad the AFC looks the chiefs literally aren't dead yet
they play the awful chargers twice and (improved) raiders twice, awful ravens once and >browns once, broncos again and the cakes
idk if they can possibly win 6 of those 8 but maybe 5 wins and a bunch of 8-8 tiebreakers can sneak them into the 2nd wild card lel. not sure i want them to lose a 9th straight playoff game after limping into the postseason again though desu senpai
No one said anything about a dynasty. I just want some years with at least a .500 record and if not too greedy, postseason appearances. Anything that isn't a complete joke and mockery of baseball. Last I checked the White Sox count as professional MLB team so why am I seeing a field full of AA caliber players?
But apparently that is too much to ask for. So fine, I'll just shut up and enjoy watching my 99 loss team for years to come.
So, seeing this scared the shit out of me. roof overhangs are NOT designed for loads like this.
I'm hoping that I'm living in a timeline where the Broncos are the only loss for the rest of the season and they finish 10-6
My delusion is strong and I don't even care. The Royals made me belive that faith in a system and simply winning can do wonders to turn a team around.
Fuck the Chiefs and their underperforming, mediocre ways.
I will not watch another game or spend any money on that god-forsaken team until they win a fucking playoff game.
God it makes me so sick how consistently shit those chokeartists are every year.
The Royals officialy own this city now and it's too late for the Chiefs.
You don't understand how much I put into this team year in year out. Emotionally, financially, and physically. I just don't understand how wanting competent baseball is too much to ask for. But apparently it is so fine, fuck it, whatever. I'll still watch. Sadly.
>you will never have a young rising star QB and an aggressive but intelligent coach that can comeback like crazy like the royals did
im so fucking tired of watching checkdownball man. theres only so much of jamaal charles (RIP) jukes I can be entertained by. not only are the chiefs and royals on the complete end of the spectrum in clutch, they are on the furthest end of the spectrum in entertaining play style
Between this and people literally leaving their cars in traffic to walk down the freeway to the parade like some sort of zombie apocalypse I am very surprised that nothing bad happened today. Especially considering KC only accommodated for like 200 people being there and almost a million tried to show up.
But it goes to show how genuinelly good the fans are here. Anons might scoff at that and try to greentext or meme at me but it's the truth. The night we won the series there were literally no arrests in downtown KC. No looting. No rioting. No flipping cars. No burning things. Everybody was just happy. Cops were even standing on top of their cars taking pictures with the crowd. It's fuckin crazy.
/sp/ always shittalks and looks down upon the lesser irrelevant teams
Then when they finally rise up, the fans get revenge on all the shit that /sp/ gave them
then /sp/ is the one who gets mad?
>You see how much emotion you have...lol...they got us
No, they don't, I literally could not care any less about the Chiefs than I d o now. In fact I do not know what their record is right now. They do not care about winning or this city at all like the Royals do.
The Chiefs aren't worth this city's time or attention. The Royals have earned and deserve every ounce of love and appreciation this city has to offer. Fuck the Chiefs. Go Royals.
The Chiefs will never be that team. EVER
They will always be a forever run heavy, defensive, grind it out win team.
They will never do anything the easy way and you can expect a terrible draft pick in the first round always.
Dick Vermeil was about as good as it got and that was still not good enough for the small time mind of the owner and whoever he picks up.
The less hope you have for them the better, so your heart isn't ripped out again
>The night we won the series there were literally no arrests in downtown KC. No looting. No rioting. No flipping cars. No burning things. Everybody was just happy.
That's because it was 100% bandwagoners minted in September 2014. It wasn't thousands of diehards who have suffered through decades without a championship, it was casuals and hipsters who know jack shit about baseball
Defense matters, and yes I know votes were submitted before the postseason.
I think he's gotten a bad wrap because AA turned down a good deal, but yeah should be interesting to see where he goes from here.
No more poaching from our front office pls.
I told Johnny Cueto to put his leg over the railing and he actually did it! The absolute madman!
Its normal. Don't let any other degenerate metropolitan area tell you any different.
Actually, balconies are supposed to be designed for stuff like this.
Cheap gas station roofs however are not.
Let me put it in perspective. Minimum roof loads for roofs are 20 pounds per square foot (psf). (By comparison, balconies are 100 pounds per square foot).
If you assume a person is 200 pounds, divided by 20 psf is 10 square feet. The sqaure root of 10 is 3.2 or something. So this means roofs are only designed for people to stand spaced 3.2 feet apart. Obviously, this roof was built stronger than that, but this is why I was scared.
So diehards are cancer that will destroy their city if they win or lose?
If that's the case I almost wish the Mets won so they could light Jersey on fire then.
Not really fuck the mest.
dee ford was insurance for tamba hali, which i guess made sense. then they were able to keep hali. fisher price was full retard though
at least marcus peters is shaping up to be good
I grew up playing baseball and have always been a Royals fan who 'occasionally' watched the Chiefs. When my parents were growing up, all they cared about were the Royals as did the city of KC. The only reason people even go to Chiefs games anymore is to get drunk and tailgate. That's all Chiefs fans care about, is their shitty tailgating. Royals fans actually care about the team and sport of baseball.
>balconies are supposed to be
Supposed to be, yeah. That's assuming solid hardware and sound construction. Balconies collapse all the time due to neglect, and looking at all those people out there gave me a lil twitch
Agreed with the roof thing
Your forgetting to add the live load to the dead load bruh. The actual load limit would be closer to 40lbs/sq.ft. considering people standing are a live load.
