The beautiful state of Missouri edition
No new news
107 days until pitchers and catchers report. Stay patient brahs.
I've been staring at this picture for 15 minutes.. Each face has its own brand of agony. Let's start with the kid.
11-12 years old. He is wincing. He is holding his hands to his goofy hat as if they will help his brain comprehend what it is seeing. He has never felt this crushed by a sporting event in his life. This is his 1 strike away moment. He looks like he is in physical pain, as if someone is stabbing him in the heart.
Moving to the right in the blue jacket. He is stunned. He is the only fan looking at another part of the field; only he isn't looking at the field. This is the 1000 yard stare that you get from someone who is utterly lost and unable to comprehend what is happening in the moment. He looks like he's on the first part of, "ARE you kidding me?"
Moving to the right with the guy in the tucked in t-shirt. Horror. He is watching the ball sail by d'Arnaud as if someone is throwing his baby out of a moving vehicle. The baby in this case is his world series dreams. He can see the life sail past him. He cannot look away from the trainwreck.
Next to the right. Disgust. His head hurts too much for him to even place his hands on it. He looks like he is saying "How?" As in, "HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID, DUDA?!"
But the next one is my favorite. Moving back one to the left and then up, is Meta-face. This man is looking directly into the camera lens. It's as if he knows we are looking at this photograph a day later; as if he knows it will become a bookmarked memory for time immemorial. His timing is perfect. His expression says to us, "Look upon me. Look at this moment as it lies before you. This is what it is like to be a Mets fan. Bask in my agony." left of him, another 1000 yard stare, his hands cover his mouth in disbelief.
A couple of people have already turned their heads as if they are walking away. These are the "Literally can't even"s, and they are done with baseball right now.
drinking on the streets in KC is officially illegal but it was a party with a half million people today so the cops werent really looking to mess with people as long as you kept it discrete and didn't fuck up the WWI memorial
You think if pence and all the core players stay more-or-less healthy, we'd have another shot?
Is our window still open for one more before slowly fading back into obscurity?
FUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK MY ASS.
FUCK "MUH RBIs"
I'M SORRY BRYCE
Sure. As flawed as they were, the Giants were the last NL team eliminated from a playoff berth, still in the race until the last week of the season.
Giants had the best overall offense in the NL despite all the DL trips and starting the year with a hole at 3B instead of what would turn out to be a legit ROTY candidate. Imagine that. With fewer injuries and barring trade possibilities, that means guys like Tomlinson and Parker can come off the bench. That's a fucking deep offense with both championship experience and youth on its side.
The rotation is a major problem, but the Giants can spend. Fortunately the free agent market for starting pitchers is deep this year, so the chances of picking up someone who wants to play in a pitcher-friendly park for a guaranteed HoF manager on a contender that seems to pick up steam every other year are quite good. Even the seemingly worst-case offseason scenarios produce a rotation that is better than what the Giants had the past two years, with fewer question marks. Bullpen lost Affeldt but Strickland and Osich were revelations.
Giants are even starting to be more aggressive on international scouting. They locked down Bahamian shortstop Lucius Fox earlier this year, which will limit how much they spend on international free agents for the next two years. Since they're paying a penalty now, they're open to loading up with more international free agents this year.
tl;dr - Nothing about 2015 indicated that the Giants window is closing. There were too many signs of hope, the problem areas seem easy to identify and fix, and they are being aggressive about fixing them with ample means to do so.

Was gonna make a separate thread but it's 8:24 AM so it'd probably have died.
Only 3 hours behind the least coast, senpai.
Just shitposting before I leave for work.

The Braves are transitioning Hector Olivera to the outfield; Atlanta coach Bo Porter working with him now on his defense.
hart and coppy why? you made so many good trades outside of this one ;_;
>implying we have to wait until spring for baseball
>all of these literal whos on Team USA.
It's illegal in Kansas city. You have to have some kind of festival permit to allow street drinking. It's was double illegal for the parade though. I think the cops were legally allowed to beat you like a black kid for drinking. That still didn't stop anyone from doing it.
Kiss the ring inferior fans, KNEEL BEFORE ROYALTY
This is going to be a KC DYNASTY and there is nothing your inferior team can do about it
Enjoy it when we drip all over the league (again)
This photo makes a good background
It seems average for such a tournament. Some familiar vets, some prospects, some marginal mid-20s shuttle players.
Here's all the rosters:
It's probably just some mom who has kids that are divided in their loyalties and she's just doing a stupid, fun little mom thing to appease them. Relax, my man.
Why would I want to watch a baseball game when I could go to dinner and relax with friends and enjoy it?
Speaking as a Royals fan who has no interest in the "salty" bullshit.
I actually hope Greinke goes to the Giants. My ultimate dream would be to see a 2014 rematch of the Giants vs the Royals, with the Royals winning this one. It would establish the Royals as a dynasty level team (2 Championships in 3 consecutive World Series) and doing at the expense of Greinke would be doubly sweet.
Nothing against the rest of the Giants team, BTW, they're a class organization. I just want a rematch. And hate Greinke.
St Louis fan here who's always supported the KC Royals when they weren't playing the Cardinals. Don't understand the hate from Royals fans, can't we all be Missouri-bros and support each other?
fuck off we dont need your support you toothless inbred
i only wish it was your overrated, stat inflating team in the world series so we could have DRIPPED DRIPPED DRIPPED all over you
kiss the ring bitch
>boreball fan calling other boreball fans toothless inbreds
Why the hate bruh? I don't think KC "needs" my support, but I like to be a good neighbor and root for teams that are in my state. I was hoping there would be an I-70 series, and while surely I would have been dissapointed if the Cardinals lost, I would have been happy for the Royals either way.
if you got a problem with it you can come meet me somewhere
ill force you to a knee and MAKE you kiss it, bitch
why can't I root for an AL team?
does anyone here play OOTP?
I just got iOOTP, love the shit out of it
>be white sox GM
>Jew Reinsdorf wants me to extend Samardzija
>have no funds to do so
>trade him for prospects instead
>Jewwy scolds me in my inbox
Yeah, the way Cashman has been handling business lately it wouldn't surprise me if he did this. This SP class going into Free Agency is way too good to pass up on though. Especially with the current state of our rotation.
If Greinke goes to the Yankees that would just be wasted talent IMO. Yankees won't be all that competitive next season. Theyre better off going after Heyward because who the fuck knows how long Beltran will last. I think Price will be a cubbie and Cueto will return to the babby league. Zimmerman is a wild card he could go anywhere. I still think Greinke will be a giant next season.
They're definitely going to go after an outfielder, but Beltran is most likely staying this year, and we have adequate replacement for him in our farm. I don't think Gardner will stay for next season though, and it'll make room for Cespedes/Upton/Heyward. I don't think that the Yankees will be competitive next season, but they will be in 2017 so signing a starter now would help us kick start that competitiveness so we won't have to worry about finding a good starter in the 2016 offseason
Well if they want a SP I would stay away from a player who's in their mid 30s. Zimmerman is 29 who still has many years ahead of him. I would be shocked if they signed all those OF though considering how much money they have invested in their current roster. Cespedes will probably want at least 7 years for something around 180-200 million. Heyward would be a steal because of his age. 10 years for Heyward at 130 to 150 is a solid buy because at the end he'd only be 36. I don't know much about Upton desu.
>Grenkie becomes a Giant on an even year
>Doyers win division again
>get crushed by Giants in playoffs
>Grenkie throws 2 no nos in playoffs starts against his former team
>both starts add two more entries to Klayton "Multiple Entries" Kerchoke
>Local man with internet alias Daddy Grenkie found dead in bathtub
Is like pottery
The Cardinals might be lookin' to keep Heyward, bruh. They didn't resign Lackey so they saved some money, plus they have a couple pitchers in the pipeline they might activate to save money for Heyward. Granted they're not known for offering outrageous contracts but if Heyward liked playing in St. Louis he might turn down a little more money to stay.
While I agree partially, the only problem is professional athletes go where the money is. Not to mention St Louis is not known for signing big contracts. It's also not something the Cardinals desperately need either. I would bet money he's gone this off season.
>Sandy Alderson briefly collapses while discussing Terry Collins
Who'd have guessed that being an MLB GM was a stressful job?
You're probably right. I liked him but we're stacked on OFs. Reyes is definitely getting activated so we're going to have a filthy pitching core if Garcia and Waino stay healthy. We could use another bat or two though.
Losing Rios sucks but he only had a 1 year contract. Guthrie was lackluster as a pitcher recently and rarely saw any innings after going to the bullpen.
Anyone else share my thoughts.
Nothing. The Yankees should do nothing but add depth this offseason.
The rotation ought to be decent with Tanaka/Severino/Eovaldi/Pineda and CC/Nova at the last spot.
The lineup is pretty much set for next year, the only real weakness being 2B, and maybe third if Headley keeps being a retard. Gardner/Ellsbury are solid, and we have plenty of outfield depth to replace Beltran or Jacoby, just in case, same with Bird and Teix.
Regarding 2B, just let Ackley and Refsnyder battle it out.
The only move I'd get behind is signing Price. Adding a Price and substracting one from the Jays would be huge.
I can't see Price staying in the AL. He's most likely a Cubbie but if not hell be a Dodger.
I wouldn't say the Yankees are set for next year. Expecting the same production from Arod, tex amd beltran is pretty naive. The only thing they have going for them is the AL is weak af atm.
The Royals will have the most interesting offseason out of any team imo.
Gordon (50/50 shot at being gone)
Cueto (more than likely gone)
Zobrist (more than likely gone)
That is 20 to 24 WAR that will be leaving.
Moore proved that he can sign some low risk high reward kind of guys, it will be interesting to see who he brings in.
If they sign a big FA or two they might be saying byebye to either Hosmer or Moustakas (or both) before 2018.
Price is the only one I truly trust, I dont like meme pitchers like Cueto, Zimmerman's (already not impressive) stuff is going bad, I might be talked into Greinke just for the autism tho.
I wouldn't say that they're set for the division. But I'd rather hope for repeats and health than sign yet another old fuck for 4-7 years. The Yanks are just getting out of two big contracts on Beltran and Teix, they should do as much as possible to make Judge and Bird work there. Free agency is great, but you cant make your entire team out of it.
...I'd take the down years if it means having an open roster spot for say, Bryce Harper's free agency.
I see Gordon giving the Royals a bit of a discount. With not picking up Guthrie and Rios they have 17.8mil to work with alone for FA. Hopefully the Glass family can find a way to get Moore more money(alliteration is fun) to work with in the off season. The deal with Fox for 20 mill a year for broadcast rights sucks cock.
I'm really surprised at this. Despite che declining, the in house options to fix aren't much better. Maybe Hahn going outside? But you'd think itd be smarter to go outside for a 3b and RF?
I'm not him but most real Royals fans don't actually hate Bumgarner. How can you? He was just that good, it's not like he was dominating out of spite. And he seemed pretty humble about the whole thing. If he keeps adding on to his legend by beating the best AL teams in the world series, then he deserves it.
Greinke has a history with the team that gets different fans in different ways though. You loved him for being so good, or you hated him for the things he said to get traded, or both. There's something a lot more personal there.
Royals "fans" don't like him because he beat them. They've only been fans for a year or two tops so they don't know to appreciate good baseball or gracefully lose/win. In another century or so, they'll have a couple more rings and will have learned through the generations to appreciate and respect baseball.
Kekekek look at this faggot. Cueto played for you guys for how long with no one ring? One season with us and he's already ringed up working on his second one next year. Kiss the ring you Ohio faggot. Kneel and #kissthering
You're blind or only started coming to sports in 2014 if you don't know about the real royals fans who stuck with the team during a time when winning 70 games was considered a success.
There's some talk now that they're doing this to rush up Anderson.
You know, seeing how the last promising infielder top prospect they rushed up clearly performed so well
Bumgarner is a damned fine pitcher who did his job for his team, and kicked our ass. That sucks, but it's no reason to hate the guy or his team.
Piece of shit Greinke, we babied him through his mental breakdown and saved his career, and how does he repay us? By demanding a trade to a "better" team. Fuck him.
I can dig it. I have no hatred for the Cardinals. As long as they're not facing my Royals, I hope they do great. I'm not a "fan" but I see no reason to hate them. 1985 was a long time ago, they're a great organization, I love the I-70 rivalry.
guys im trying to find an early interview of Greinke (might have been his first MLB year, or maybe AAA year) where he completely shows his autism.
If you know what I'm talking about its one of the funniest interviews I've ever seen. He talks about zoo animals and stumbles all over himself.
You may only reply to this post if your team's mascot has keked Mr. Met.
A's fan checking in with Mrs. Met's love for elephant dicks from Oakland.
>Southpaw's face when he heard Mr. Met was watching from the closet
Wouldn't the difference be pennies? Also judging from tweets coming out, Che is indeed going to test the FA waters so what's the point? This doesn't seem likely.
Cardsbro here. Do you know where I can get one of these in St. Louis? I Binged it but came up empty. Me and my boys were pretty hard into the Royals this season (Go Royals!) and this could be pretty dope for when they both make the playoffs. Lookin for a 3XL if they got em.
GZ Royalsbros St. Louis rooted for ya!
What, you faggots can't afford Price and Cespedes too?
I went to St. Louis for business and stopped in a local tavern named "Le Royale" for a quick snort. You wouldn't believe how many fresh brand-new Royals caps were on the heads of those St. Louisians! It was nuts! It was like the whole city was rooting for the Royals.
Thanks for the support, you guys. Missouribros bros for life!
KcBro here, I'd like to announce our new broship with the Cubs since we beat the filthy pond scum for you. Kansas City / Chicago broship for life. This ring (the first of many) is dedicated to the Cubs.
He was my favorite player on the team
>tardinals getting cμcked in their own state by a better team
>Cueto getting a ring
Get fucked Tardinals, you aren't even the best team in your own state.
>white sox look to be getting ready for that first pick in 2017
no, they'll spend heavily on some old free agents which will make them mediocre enough to have no shot at neither the playoffs nor a first overall pick
>Dodgers sign Kirk Gibson to manage
>Puig encouraged to be an even wilder horse
>Pederson learns how to tighten up his goddamned swing
>Brings back Chase Utley to take down spics with weak bones
>Orders Adrian Gonzalez to crowd the plate and then charge Greinke
>Shoots the scoreboard with his hunting rifle, always assuring a Dodger lead
>Puts himself in to pinch-hit during the Eeries, slams it
>tfw Doyers win 2016
Yeah, Missouri got its 13th ring. St. Louis never doubted you Royalsbros, we cheered for you the whole postseason. You're the STL's American League team!
Love ya Royalsbros, but in the regular season I'll be back to a Cardsbro again... for now! Haha!
That World Series was almost as good as the 85 series!
Just got back in town a bit ago from going to KC for the World Series parade. Parade was awful to be honest. No music, they split players up individually, and put them all in pick up trucks and convertibles. The crowd was chanting dumb stuff like "kiss the ring" "crowned", "lets go royals", "mooose", and "we are royal". We were about 30 rows back from the street and could only see Chris Young's 7 ft. tall head (some people were beyond a whole block back). No double decker buses, no grouping of players so we could see them interact...and see them in general. We didn't even mess with Union Station sea of insanity and watched Jonny Gomes crazy WWE style speech from a nearby bar. Postives: College friends came in from around the country and it was amazing seeing them. We are still world series champs. Negatives: Walked 4 miles to the parade, 4 miles back, and couldn't see the players. Two flew in from Seattle and Portland and saw no one. I got pretty sick out of nowhere.
BORAS BLOWN THE FUCK OUT

Typical feta nigger. Greeks are literally the niggers of Europe. Classless, bottom feeding shitskins. It's literally a surprise to no one Kansas City's biggest star is a feta nigger.
Redsbro here. Reds / Royals broship when? We are the undisputed kings of the midwest, and we did give you the best pitcher on your team Tbh. Reds & Royals 2015 co-champions! #kissourrings baby
Anyone else love the quality of questions asked for MLBTR's mailbag?
>Jurickson Profar seems like a guy the Cards should target. Any ideas on what it would take to pry him from the Rangers? — Aaron B.
No worries m8. We can't all be Jamaican bobsled baseball players, but we can certainly dream.
How small were the pizzas? Or are you just a glutinous fatfuck?
>tfw /mlb/ will never have costume softball game on Halloween, ever
Damn shame tbqh.
Not him but it's kinda rough for some of us outside of Chicago with no good deep dish places around.
The frozen ones I've had shipped to me can get pretty watery, but at least there's still that basic flavor there. It's not like mass-produced frozen at least, it's a lot better.
Aside from I don't think we can afford him if we pick up the option on Zobrist(which the Glass family needs to make happen, he is a fit for this team and community and his wife is pregnant and due like today and really likes it here).
We really don't need more pitchers right now. Yeah we lost a starter but the ones we still have, have potential and have shown it (that's a lot of haves lol). What we need is a decent second baseman, and I see that in Zobrist, and a left fielder.
Not unless they somehow get rid of Elsbury, sign Greinke, sign Zobrist, get rid of Beltran, and sign another pitcher (maybe Kazmir). Fuck it, I'll believe.
Reminder to all the Canada c ucks itt that if Bautista didn't flip his bat like a nigger you would have made it to the world series and most likely would have won considering the miserable state the mest were in.
I do not feel sorry for you. I am laughing at the fact you defended this nigger when he chimped out.
I just don't think he should be playing in the outfield with his lack of defense and age.
Gardner plays Center and play Zobrist in left occasionally among other positions. They would probably have to bring back Young or promote Judge. I'm not sure if Judge is ready just yet.
Angels need to sign greinke to have a pulse this season.
We have the bats we just need the fucking pitching. If he can win 15 - 20 next season that's all we need to lock up the west.
Otherwise what other pitchers are on the market who the angels can sign and actually improve?
are you serious?
Their long contracts are ending, they have a highly rated farm that has promoted Betances, Severino and Bird so far and one of the youngest rotations in baseball.
The Yankes dont rebuild, they reload.
im ok with this
Based Mexibro getting the get for The Yankees. We Bryce Harper next year.
None of them know how to hit a ball and you have schmucks like Ellsbury and McCann slumming it up
Pineda and Tanaka are clearly hurting and breaking, again.
Bird can hit the ball hard, that's about it
As you faggots like to point out I'm new to this. I have followed off and on for the last 10 seasons just for the small talk around town. As of two years ago I decided to learn some about the deeper parts of baseball beyond MOOOOOOOSE and all that shit you dick weeds like to bash. Yes I know bandwagon, fuck off.
Zobrist is 34. At most he is going to get a 2 year contract anywhere from 20-40MM. A crazy estimate would be 2 at 60MM but that wpuld be a long shot. He is old. Yes he is a good player and versatile on the field but he isn't going to get any younger. The best bet for the Royals is to get Zobrist is with the 17MM they save from not picking up the option on Rios or Guthrie on top of the 2.8MM of his one season contract. Giving him basically 2 year at just south of 40MM.
How's that for not knowing shit?
WE DID IT
6th in the league in team wRC+ m8
Nah man. I can't watch cricket. Too boring and I have no clue what the fuck goes on or how anything works. And no I don't care to know how it works because I'll just find ways to say fuck this sport is for faggots
All really big names, all retired though. No one really knows whether they'll still be good because a few are over 40
There are a couple who have only just retired (one like a month ago, one earlier this year) so those players will definitely still be good.
>reminder there are over 100 days until baseball activities being
A-Atleast we still have the hot stove.
>I have no clue what the fuck goes on or how anything works.
If you understand baseball it'll literally take you half an hour to work it out, especially since the games being played in the US are T20 form, which is the form closest to baseball.
The next wave of position guys coming up are more power hitters than contact hitters. I think Bird and Refsnyder will get better at hitting for contact but Judge just looks like a power hitter who will struggle to hit over .240. And you're right about Ellsbury and McCann taking up space. McCann might play DH and make space for a JR Murphy and Gary Sanchez platoon though.
Zobrist will get 3 to 4 years because of his versatility but more near 12-15 million than 20 million. I could see The Doyers or Yankees overpaying for him though seeing as they both need that kind of player.
your post is absolute shit
fuck off bandwagon retard
you claim a 34 year old is going to get a 2 year contract? a player like zobrist? are you fucking stupid?
go back to reading facebook royals posts faggot
>How's that for not knowing shit?
lets go back and talk about that heads up play from hosmer
gotta give kudos to the fantastic coaching staff of the kansas city royals. if you can give an MVP to a coaching staff this playoffs would have been the one.
It might have been the best coached playoffs ever.
Yost and Co. knew that Wright had a weak arm given his age and abilities. That was step one. Step two was they also knew Duda was a side arm thrower and would miss wide.
They are the best coaching staff in all of baseball, I wouldn't have been shocked if Yost and Co. received an MVP when the dust settled and The Royals ended up on top.
>It's not my fault I just started watching 2 years ago
Actually yes it is.
You know how I know you're a faggot or a nigger?
You never played baseball as a kid because you're a faggot. Or you're a nigger because you didn't have daddy to play catch with.
My advice, start being a Yankees fan or a red Sox fan if you're going to talk like that.
Fuck you. I'm not claiming to be a diehard. The numbers side of baseball is all math. Math is dope as fuck. Idfc how the Royals do. I will just look at the numbers and be able to tell why things are happening.
>shitposting reaches season high
who /going to bed and waking up in april for spring training/ here?

2016 MLB PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS:
AL WC: Yankees beat The Angels in blowout fashion
NL WC: Cardinals beat The Pirates. Daily reminder that they started Gerrit Cole in the NL WC game two years in a row and got btfo
Mariners beat The Blue Jays in 5 games in a great series full of memes.
Yankees beat The Royals in 5 games in another series full of memes but not as great
Cardinals sweep The Nationals
Cubs sweep Los Doyers in 4 games after they added another 100 million to their payroll. Riots in LA.
ALCS: Yankees Sweep in 5 in dominant fashion after The Mariners remember they're The Mariners and literally no one they sign will change that.
NLCS: Cubs beat The Cardinals in 7 games and appear in their first Worlds Eries since 1945 by beating their rivals in what will be remembered as the greatest NLCS ever played full of brawls and other memes.
2016 WORLDS ERIES:
They did it! THEY FUCKING DID IT!
The Yankees keked the entire MLB and reddit by sweeping the lovable losers in 5 games. The Cubs never make another Worlds Eries. A-Rod is Worlds Eries MVP.
>mfw Kris Bryant jumps the first available ship out of Chicago because the jew ownership kept him in the minor leagues at the beginning of the season to save some shekels
I STILL CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE WE HAVE WITNESSED KANSAS CITY WIN A WORLD SERIES

here you go f a m
amount of real royals fans are in the red circle desu
TheMariners are trash and their pathetic IRL-meme spouting fanbase is cancer and deserves all the losing seasons, chokes, and heartbreaking losses the baseball gods have to offer
Fuck the Mariners, fuck their stupid fans, and fuck that faggot Cano
Burn in fucking hell you faggots
>and fuck that faggot Cano
I agree he's a cunt. not even a Mariners fan. I just don't care about them enough to be salty about them. I'm guessing you're either a Yankees fan because you hate Cano like me or, you're an A's fan because they're actually worse than The Mariners and would explain the saltiness.
That hitting completely disappeared in the 2nd half where it finished 17th in wRC+
They all kept swinging for glory, which works if you don't take shitty hacks, which is exactly what they did
They all also completely forgot how to recognize pitches
It's astounding how A-Rod began to just swing at absolute garbage and unable to hit the most simple of pitches
He knew how to take pitches to work the count to get the pitches where in the strike zone and to his advantage
Completely disappeared after that Minnesota series in July
According to Chris O'Leary, the likes of Kershaw and Scherzer display the same dangerous flat arm syndrome as the likes of Harvey, Fernandez, and Strasburg (which create timing issues in the pitching process)
But O'Leary says Scherzer and Kershaw use "tricks" to catch their arm up with the rest of their body, and mostly compensate with the poor timing when the foot lands, thus almost completely or completely negating any harmful effects of the poor timing of the arm position by the foot plant
What do you think those tricks are?
>his team hasn't caused the mass butthurt of entire nations and generations
>stralians hate the dodgers
i dont know why but kek
I think Cashman will let Ellsbury go. Beltran is one of the worst OF's in the league defensively but he played too well the last few months of the season for the team to let him go.
so mest has the east locked up again?
just want an championship pls
get a bullpen arm or something, and offense too
I doubt it. The pitching is great but Murphy and Cespedes won't be Mets next year. Their offense will be weak again unless the Wilpons actually spend money which again, I doubt will happen. Maybe they get a few bullpen arms but that's it.
>yfw a new Yankees dynasty begins in 2017

>tfw he'll have .220 average
>tfw both Dean Anna and Eduardo Nunez are on the roster

You now realize that many people's worst baseball nightmare came true all thanks to the Royals: literally keking everyone in the league for years to come
just wait until they trade him to boston for a reverse bambino curse that lasts 176 years
Wonder if the Angels can convince Gronk to try out pitching. It's not like he can be worse than what we're looking at for 2016 so far.
It would be very great if the Giants can sign Greinke. Might take too much out of the piggy bank but it'd help the rotation so much.
A pitching staff with Timmy and Greinke would be all kinds of au-some.
>edgar will NEVER be in the hall

Top kek m8
There is no stopping the train, just accept it /mlb/
The Royals still have a decent rotation, stout bullpen, maybe Zobrist and Gordon will be gone, but everyone else will still be there.
Greinke alone wouldn't do it, imo. That would leave them relying on Heston, and he faded over the course of the year.
The ideal offseason would be either an ace to go with Bum plus an average pitcher to slot in 4th or 5th, or two second-tier guys for the middle of the rotation.
I don't think Timmy's starter material anymore sadly. Even Cain should probably be considered our #5 if the offseason goes right.
I do think the Giants bring Timmy back though, if he's willing to consider the huge overpay he got as the sweetheart deal that it was and can be reasonable about his next contract.
