Kill me and make it slow
>yfw I wish England was actually good so we could embarass Australia in their own country
>we will never have a golden generation because 80% of the country plays footie instead
I've literally never seen people run 4 tbqh
yes, it's because our decent clubs are so rich they just import foreigners, and decent English players rarely ever play because of FA rules on there being a minimum number of English players per team.
ie. basically, English player prices are inflated because EPL teams NEED english players to meet min. requirements, so in most cases they're all benchwarmers, rather than if it was a true free market where they could actually get proper playing experience and play abroad.
And also the fact footie is played literally everywhere whereas cricket isn't. Unfortunately unless you're actively into cricket there's like 0 exposure into it here.
Time for lunch boys, who /KFC™/ here?
literally the only country the ball swings in is Englel and to a lesser extent PP (but they use the Kookaburra ball so not really)
And Pissmania. Fuck that shit island. Thankfuck we didn't give the PP's another fixture there.
>cric show featuring ellyse fishing with tubby
Alright lads I hope you're preparing for the get, if we all go for it someone might score
desu it's a bit sad when a big and (frankly) entertaining aspect of the game (swing) is diminished because other teams don't like it
I mean straight non-swing bowling.. that's pretty boring desu
Pace is entertaining and all, but with modern day schedules pace bowlers knacker their knees out way too quick.
>this meme was 3 (three) years ago
Where does the time go?
>"Boreball is a superior sport because they can throw it harder and wallop it really hard lol hurr durr"
>When facing the first ball of the innings, Warner averages 24.50. Comparatively, when he lets his teammate face the first ball, Warner’s average balloons up to 55.94, almost 10 runs higher than his overall Test batting average.
I tried to watch Cricket once and literally fell asleep.
The most unathletic and boring sport in the world. Barely requires any technical skill either. I had a bunch of pakis in my neighbourhood and one of them tried to "bowl" at me and with that wide ass paddle they have I fucken knocked that ball into the bushes
way too easy
>yfw there was a BSA near me showing me how manly his superior sports were
>tfw mudslime playing for Australia
Go kiwis, at least you guys have integrity.
For fuck's sake Poo Peeland. This is why we can't have a 5 match series with you. Because you get btfo whenever we play.
Now instead of a decent team for boxing day, that would provide a good match and good banter, I have to go watch the >west indies
I hope you're happy.
That's a savage, they're native to New Zealand. Mudslimes aren't supposed to be here, Australia belongs to Anglo Saxons first, Germans second, Scandinavians third, Irish fourth, Abos fifth, wogs sixth, Frenchmen seventh, Asians eighth, Africans ninth, and Arabs last. Anyone after Abos shouldn't be playing cricket for us.

>Bez: "That's nothing, Shane. As of the start of the 26th over, if both Warner and Burns suddenly decide to retire hurt right now without scoring another run, and Warner, for some unfathomable reason, then decides to retire from Test cricket immediately following this innings, and Burns goes on to score exactly 3517 more runs in his next 77 innings featuring 426 fours and 34 sixes, and with 3 of those innings being not out… Warner and Burns will have the exact same batting stats (except strike rate). How about THAT?!"

never have I been so divided
it's amusing how rugby union and cricket are exact opposites in Australia and New Zealand
I wonder if we are obsessed because we have historically dominated each sport or if we dominate because we began obsessed with it
I think if you polled everybody in the country with a preference style vote (1. for favourite sport, 2. for next and so on) cricket would come out on top
It isn't outright number 1 anywhere but cumulatively it would have to be
once again, they are no good when not playing in meme conditions like new zealand and england
>mfw brendo mccullum stills throws his wicket away trying to hit the leather off the ball
except it isn't when you measure TV audience, participation, crowds etc
it's a solid 2nd everywhere but both AFL & NRL top it in gross terms
by contrast Rugby is the undisputed no1 religion of New Zealand
>Warner is gonna go to the Olympics next year
>yfw you were around for the coming of christ in the form of Warner
I think luckily the NZ memeposting died down a lot before the final and by contrast the Ausposting was pretty rife leading up to the rugby final.
Cats and dogs in Wellington yesterday Tbh, now it's pretty nice outside.

Hi, newcomers to /cric/!
It seems you have stumbled upon our nifty old sport. You're probably wondering: what the hell are these guys in whites doing? Why are they playing with a paddle? Is this a new meme? But did you know that cricket has been played for over 200 years? Wow! That's really something. Here's something that might help you understand the game more:
And while you're here, it's best if we introduce you to some of /cric/'s finest memes so you don't feel left out :) Here are a few of the classics:
>Is David Warner related to Shane Warner?
Referring to 2 famous Australian cricketers, this is a humorous play on words of current Australian batsman David Warner and Australian spin legend Shane Warne(spin is a form of bowling that you'll come to know and love). The similar personalities of the two players also makes this amusing, as it's likely that they are probably related!
>Will Smith score a century?
Another delightful play on words. Here we're referring to current Australian captain Steven Smith, and the question is whether he'll score a century. However, this question is always answered with "Will Smith is an actor m8", a reference to popular African-American actor Will Smith, someone I'm sure you're familiar with!
Daniel is a cricket fan from New Zealand well known for his idiosyncrasies, such as his worship of progressive rock, the English County Championship and infatuation with average Slavic girls(surely a step down from the babes you have in Europe or America, haha). It is common to reply to New Zealander posts with "hi daniel", as a reference to /cric/'s most popular Kiwi.
>Holly or Ellyse?
This is an ongoing debate as to who is the better looking female cricketer: Australia's Holly Ferling and Ellyse Perry(who represents Australia in both cricket and soccer - wow!)
There's so much more in /cric/ to offer! Stick around!
I took /r9k/'s advice and finally hit on my mum today, bros.
I asked her if she needed a hand while she was shaving her legs in the bath and she let me shave her legs for her. I have something planned for tomorrow but I am starting to get nervous. I have been fapping all day just thinking about what might happen tomorrow if I go through with it.
what's the latest on the Ivana-Hugh-Wildcard arc m8?
