Calvin & Hobbes complete
from 1985 to 1995
nice, thanks OP
Complete collection of 10 years of brilliant comic strip: 300MB.
One episode of Testament of Sister New Devil, written by a 12 yo boy who's just discovered tits: 600MB
Size really doesn't matter.
The quality in that torrent seems to be much better than in OP's.
The RAR packing is silly, but not a real issue.
I remember back in 4th grade when I first discovered Calvin & Hobbes. These strips helped bring a little light in my life during those times. Thanks for the thread, OP.
If only there were some instructions on how to use magnet links. Wait... there was? It was in a sticky? And it got deleted and we can't easily link to it now? Why would someone do that?
*bampu* for Great Thanks!
Just an FYI update: TPB is now dead at .am, so found here for a few more moments until that gets shut down:
For those who'd like to use the magnet, this worked fine:
It's 2.03 GB in 44 parts.rar, as noted. For those who don't know why, this is common for downloads sourced from usenet to get around filesize limits in various newsgroups. It's legacy Old Schoole way of doing things, and seems that the uploader @TPB just upped the raw download files as grabbed from usenet.
Currently connected & getting nearly 2 Mb/s download speed ... so, big thanks to the seeds still on this torrent. I usually seed 20:1 or ~10 weeks, and I try very hard never to shut down if someone is connected to me. My upload isn't fantastic, but I can trickle up a decent amount for "a while." So, please seedit you fags.
Eh, I may as well upload an extra few copies.
Here's the TPB listing, too, in case that explodes.
Slight continuation to add:
Cross-pollination with /hr/ here:
OP on that thread started scanning in extreme resolution for Reasons. Meaning, potential for printing out at small poster sizes. He's taking requests for particular strips, I assume so long as he doesn't get overwhelmed and has time to continue.
Also, the torrent as grabbed from >>676767 >>676851 etc. is damned solid. Haven't been able to check ever single image (yet), but did integrity checks on all the archives and extracted several archives to spot check (used 7zip).
Pic related is sample from Calvin and Hobbes Complete Collection - 9 - Homocidal Psycho Jungle Cat.cbr
I'm pretty happy with the quality. Thank you, one and all anons, for making this available, pointing it out so I could find it ... and for seeding.
Does this torrent have this readme in it?
If it doesn't I grabbed that collection of Demonoid years ago, and it's excellent quality, as well as quite complete content/collection wise.
Someone check and let me know if its not, cause I'll upload the one that I have for you guys.
SEE: pic related.
Short answer: No. Torrent does NOT include any readme or similar file, strictly the actual books in *,cbr format.
The top .\DIR\ is the actual torrent download. So, all those *.rar files are dumped into .\Calvin & Hobbes Comic\
When you unpack the *.rar archive, you get the contents as shown in the bottom .\DIR\. Namely all those *.cbr files (that's the exact naming structure). The misc extra files that I whited out, the .\Calvin & Hobbes Comic\ .\DIR\ and the Calvin & Hobbes Comic.torrent file are just my organization of other related data, etc.
For anyone who doesn't know, the way to extract from the multi-part *.rar collection in the top .\DIR\ is that you make sure all those parts are in together a single directory, then you select file "Calvin & Hobbes.part01.rar" with a *.rar-capable ZIP utility (7-Zip is free and just about the best available), then tell your ZIP utility to extract to whatever .\DIR\ you want and (if it's a non-retarded utility) it will automatically use all 44 *.rar parts to create all the *.cbr files you see in the bottom .\DIR\.
CBR is for "Comic Book Reader" format, which is really just a *.zip file. So, you can rename any *.cbr file -> *.zip and then unZIP that file into a directory of individual images and use any image viewer (IrrfanView, HoneyView, etc.) to open each page individually. SEE: -- >>676871 filename for naming conventions in this torrent (that's page 32 from 9 - Homocidal Psycho Jungle Cat).
If you want to compare quality, use that image from that post; it's directly uploaded as provided in-torrent. It seems very typical of the rest of the torrent.
Please stop using shitty OS's
Anyway, here's what mine has + the filesize for each and the total size.
Here's what one of pages looks like with mcomix.
The source is 1920x1080 but my screen res is 1280x800 so yeah.
Tell me if I need to upload what I have.

Yeah, no. Not helpful. Do whatever. Nobody cares.
