serves you right cunts especially Black Templars teutonic order is a stupid theme for Space Marines besides teutons were getting rekt constantly just like this guy who was later captured by some weird xeno species and hopefully molested

>You are a young man named Lloyd from the frozen Northern mountains of Tordo, on the continent of Teege. After a youth spent learning magic, you and your girlfriend spent some time as bandits after your home was destroyed, but have recently taken a chance to escape that life into a legit one... As sellswords, admittedly, but it's better than nothing. When the situation calls for it, however, you might take on the POV of a character somewhere else for a thread.

A couple hours after Ansi and Asra's little disagreement about how (or even IF) to deal with the possibility of Calof's compromised status.
Ansi feels that he should just knock him out, search him for mind control (or destroy him if he turns out Wampyric. He doubts that's what it is, even if he's being controlled, but... It's a possibility), get rid of it if he can identify it.
Asra, meanwhile, would prefer to prevent more unnecessary infighting, especially since Ansi's basis for suspicion is simply that the normally-reserved and agreeable... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Am I the only one who feels that monks in D&D 5e seem a little weaker than the other classes. We had a half-orc monk in our party once that seemed to always get fucked in every single fight we had and I personally have played one once as a dwarf on a seperate occasion, while I fared better than the half-orc i feel like I was a tad weaker than the rest of my party. (granted these were low level parties)
What are your experiences with playing monk in 5e, /tg/?
It seems like monks tend be shitty at low level but get progressively better as they level. Another thing, they substitute magic weapons and armor for abilities. Which the dm can't hand out freely so they can't get any sort of dm fiat going for me.
They are worse at the sheer damage output than fighters, but they're more mobile and have a few more combat options, and less equipment reliant. Additionally, at level 17, Open Hand monks get the only player-available save-or-die that is also an extremely heavy damage spike even if they save. Though that is a late game blessing. Plus the very first level, they get two attacks a round, a d8 and d4 (versatile quarterstaff + martial arts), without having to lock themselves into dual wielding.
Mom walks up to the table Asai is sitting at. The perpetual smile which he normally has plastered on his face has been replaced by a more stern and solemn expression.
Immediately, Mom pounds her palms right on the table.
"Here I am, you got to see me. Can you turn everything back to normal now?" Right, Mom. Like I haven't tried that one with him already.
I am Itsukuma Masami, it's been a tough day. Fortunately! The person who is the reason that it's a tough day is sitting in front of me. I have him in this time-out place I invented which should safely contain him and keep him from causing more trouble.
Unfortunately, he's already caused so much trouble that I'm not sure how I'm going to undo it. Like for one, he unleashed a giant monster on the city, and I don't have a giant robot or a belt to fight it! I need to stop watching Sunday Morning kids shows.
"Izumi. Sit down." Asai beckons to Mom. She merely glares at him.
Asai looks in my direction, noticing that Kaori, Julie, and myself are still here, and then looks back at Mom.
"I would greatly appreciate it if we had this conversation in private." "I refuse." "No!" Julie yells. She's been saying that a lot lately.
"It's fine, without his building he's powerless." Mom crosses her arms. "He has way more to be afraid of with me being here."
"Mom, I insist that I stay!" I pull at her sleeve.
"Fine, I'll let Masami stay, but that's all. The rest is personal business between Izumi and I." Asai smiles wryly.
I get a chill down my spine, that guy is creepy.
>Fine. >No! >I'll just excuse myself. >Go hide the others secretly. This is YOUR house after all. You can find a place to hide them so they can eavesdrop. >"Please just get this over with, it's been a long day.." >Other?
>DnD5e >Play a Champion Fighter with Great Weapon Master + Charger >That moment when you charge, and land an attack at an additional 15 damage despite the -5 to hit penalty. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzUHaRsxFzg
That shit is borderline cathartic, I swear.
What are some moments you've had where you can't help but go "Fuck yes"?
>>44570954 The time I rolled some dice and got a natural 20, and confirmed with a roll of 15, and did sufficient damage to kill the enemy in one hit. My party members were impressed by this feat and congratulated me. "Nice crit!" they said, and I felt good because of randomly rolled dice signifying that I had just killed someone in a simulated game.

For what it's worth, I don't think I've ever once seen people play games of that sort in my area like, ever. Everyone tends to favor euro styles heavily though, that and light stuff, so I guess it's probably why. Still, I need to sit down one day and try one. I think a giant game of axis and allies sounds fun, but I guess that's not the same. Still need to play that too, lol.
~You are Sigmund Wagner, sole survivor of the Ulvenacht which left your village a charnel house. You alone were spared death by the hand of Lector Gwynneau Tylmarine, a Paladin and master of the stronghold known as The Castle of Bells. She took you under her protection and brought you to her home to give you an opportunity at a life that you would have otherwise lost to the horrors of the night. ~

Interpretations and later additions have been the basis for a hundred differnet religious order all scheming for dominance. Due to an ancient agreement the military is mostly made up of orcs from the coastal cities of their mostly desert nation.

The first thing you notice when you regain consciousness is the pounding headache in your skull, and the god-awful wailing that’s only making it worse. It takes you a few moments to figure out that it isn’t someone screaming their head off, but the sound of a klaxon alarm blaring incessantly.
After groping blindly for the snooze button of your alarm clock, you quickly come to the conclusion that from the cold, metallic feel of the surface you’re lying on, you’re most certainly not waking up in your own house and on your own mattress.
You rapidly sit up, slowly massaging the fatigue out of your head as you try to puzzle out what the hell is going on. Your body feels heavy and sluggish, as if you’d been asleep for a long time. At least, that’s what it felt like. You’re positively sure that it wasn’t normal to wake up feeling like this.
It only takes a few moments for the blur to fade away and your vision to sharpen to decipherable levels. You find yourself in what appears to be some sort of medical facility, judging from the tools scattered around the room and the faded anatomy posters on the walls. The overhead lights have completely gone out, with only the faint illumination of emergency lighting the only way you’re able to see in the room.
You’ve seen enough horror movies to know that this is never a good scenario to wake up in.
There’s a mirror sitting adjacent to the table you’re lying on. You pull yourself closer to it, gripping the edge of the counter for support as the numbness in your body begins to fade away. Squinting carefully, the image you see in the reflecting surface is that…

In your RPGs, do you prefer systems with definite measures of range, distance and movement? Ones that encourage the use of Maps and Minis? Examples being D&D/Pathfinder, the Warhammer 40k RPGs or Savage Worlds?
Or do you prefer systems that abstract measures and discourage the use of minis or remove support for that style of play entirely? Examples being FATE, the new FFG Star Wars or the Modiphius system?
Do you feel that maps and miniatures add to a game's atmosphere or detract from it?
I much prefer the specific measurements. In terms of "atmosphere", I think miniatures and maps are neutral: you are still picturing the battle in your imagination. However, miniatures and maps clarify things quickly without having to pester the DM about how many are in the blast radius, and who is standing beside what.
You don't need fancy minis, a few coins will do, but it is SO MUCH BETTER with a visual way of tracking where everyone is. I do use minis sometimes, but it is hard to get minis for all the monsters and NPCs that might show up.
>>44569194 depends on what I'm running, a couple of the best systems as written I've seen might be either the one done up for Nechronicha(Japanese Tabletop RPG, good system, less than optimal premise.) combat consists of 5 "zones" everyone in the same zone is in melee combat with each other. reach weapons can reach across from one zone to another, an explosion damages everything in any given zone. etc.
the other that melds abstraction with the definite would be the system for Legend of the Wulin,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
“Quissonce, get over here so I can kiss you.” Gabby shouts from between you and Dolah after the post-firework clapping dies down. Quissonce sighs from where she stands, further towards the center of the slowly dispersing crowd, safely out of Gabby's reach.
Gabby gives a lascivious laugh. “Yeah, but this time I'm gonna use tongue.” Gabby continues laughing throughout and past Quissonce's scoffing. “Come on! Kissing someone on New Years is tradition! So pucker the fuck up... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
