So I have been wanting to find or make a system for the World of Twelve universe for a while now, I have seen several threads about this, and people claiming they have a system or parts of it, I've even seen a thread where someone claimed Ankama has already an RPG system for this, only its in French, and I could not find anything about that outside that thread.
In any case I would like 2 things from this: 1. Is there an RPG system out there that has this setting? official or not I would still want to have a look at it. 2. If not, can someone give me suggestions... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Welcome rudebois and rudegyals to the latest edition of Star Wars A New Quest,
Last time on STANQ; You survive several assassination attempts and gain a new servant in Alicia DarkBlade, aswell as Dulgon (bat man), Brixton, and Elena after finding them at a club and testing them, Baka owes you deep and he tells you who put out an assassination on you who you send assassins after in turn, make your servant dance to lewd lyrics, your friends show up fighting your bodyguards who handle themselves a bit too well for gutter trash, have a lot of talkies for your problems, find... To see a frighteningly red pair of red goggles staring at you.
“Hi,” Ley'ra greets, her voice speaking through her facemask's intercoms.
“Hi,” you respond, laughing. Ley'ra pulls down her facemask, revealing her pale-skinned face with a smile. You turn to Beth. “Was it necessary... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Maybe. I used to love the author's Song of Blades and Heroes games, but fell out of love with them a year or two ago. They're still good, but I moved on. This game is apparently not using that system, though... and I really like what Osprey have been doing wth this line, so I'm optimistic.
The rude security man seems to take pleasure in checking out everything duffel bag of camera supplies. You would rather be setting up for the governor of this province to arrive and snap the perfect picture for the papers. Or at least that's the story. The bodyguard gives you some shit over your pocket knife, a stainless steel folder clipped on your pocket. Ultimately, you are allowed into the press area as a photographer representing an obscure Some-shit-or-another Shimbun, though you are a fraud. The other reporters... Comment too long. The problem which has confronted you is the shot. Originally, it was your plan to take your shot from the Tidewater Library across the river hit the mayor as his parade passes between two of the Eight Temples. However the best shot you had was now blocked by these damned press stands which had only arrived in the last. It was a difficult shot in the best circumstances, with unreliable winds across the river and without the light to judge it from the mirage. And your next best shot was from the dockyards of the Warehouse District to the Old Bridge which was too exposed for you... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
You're starting to become frustrated by your slow progress. If this were anything else, you'd have figured out some trick by now, or a work-around that got more results for your effort. It's like twisting a deer's leg off with your bare hands; sure you COULD and it looks impressive, but it's generally more efficient to make a couple more cuts and pop the damn thing out nice and simple. With magic, you can do things that openly defy the natural order of the world, but every one of them has to be done the hard way. You remember Rhea's talk about prices... Comment too long. Yo /tg/, I'm a relatively new DM, and I'm having a hard time writing my campaign. Last session, my players pulled some shit I didn't expect and I had to improvise a ton. I know that's not even remotely a bad thing, but I'm having trouble making more stuff and I keep second guessing myself because my players might pull some more shit I dont expect and I have to scrap other encounters I had prepared. Basically, I dont want to make a whole dungeon only to have the players decide to not go down into it. Currently they're motivation is an offer... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I have general ideas for regions and places, have several plot hooks per session. And use dungeon tiles for generating dungeons on the fly. Have a few encounters planned, mainly the big ones, and leave the rest up to generators and the dice gods.
>>44567965 Make encounters that works independently, so you can reuse them at will. PLayers didn't go into the fungeon ? Then the bandits on the road will be reskinned versions of the goblins guarding the first room...
Also, apparently you've got a basic dunjon-crawler with no real incensive for the players to go in. That's very old school. If you don't want them to go everywhere, give them an endgoal and a cadre for their characters.
So for synchro summoning, can I synchro summon right away? For instance can I synchro summon a synchro monster on the same turn that I put the tuner out?
I'm having a hard time finding this answer. From what I've read, "You must have a tuner monster on the field and then one or more non tuners on the field, whose total levels are equal to the levels of the Synchro monster you are attempting to Synchro Summon." See how this is confusing?
I always thought you could synchro summon right away. Like on the same... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>44567956 Your friend has no idea what he's talking about, as long as you have a tuner and another monster whose levels add up to the synchro monster's level you can synchro summon. That monster is considered to have been special summoned.
>When America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to.
This is a reminder that the most important part of your sword is the hilt. If you've ever traded one sword for another without considering which hilt to keep, you've spat in the face of all that is good.

I, for one, never shitpost, and always try to be nice. We shall all try and then at least these generals may become a nice and friendly place.
Need a name for a pirate crew. They used to be sky pirates and at some point may return to that but for the foreseeable future they're typical ocean-going pirates. More than thematically appropriate though, my preference would be towards "cool" sounding, or phonetically memorable or catchy.
The typical pirate crew naming style of the setting is "The *something* Pirates" or "The *something* Crew", but a better name is more important to me than sticking to the typical naming conventions. The sort of name where you might read through a... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

What games do "elves and wizards, kick down the door and slay the dragon, knights in shining armor" high fantasy better than D&D. I can find a game system that does just about anything else better than d20, except for this.
That's a great game and I really like it but it really feels like it's strongly tied to its setting.
