Few sane minds could truly stand millennia of war. After the Volgan War, after the conquest of Mars, after the rise of the Termite Empire and the endless wars against the alien, after border conflicts and assassinations, after purges and pogroms, the endless evidence of man’s inhumanity would grind down even the stoutest heart.
Sanity, however, is an overrated concept.
The ABC Warriors started life in a comic called Ro-Busters, detailing the exploits of a robot search and rescue squad. The Ro-Busters eventually found new life in 2000AD... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Over the course of the story, Nemesis recruited the ABC Warriors to fight for him: the long-suffering hero Hammerstein; the cold, calculating sniper Joe Pineapples; the pea-brained destroyer Mek-Quake; the savage, bestial Mongrol; the pathological traitor Blackblood; the disgusting kludgy cleaner Ro-Jaws; and the mysterious sorcerer-knight Deadlock (sort of – its complicated). Over the course of years, the Warlock’s war against his arch-enemy Torquemada escalated into ever more bloody reprisal attacks. Following the betrayal of a jealous rival, Nemesis’ wife was murdered by Torquemada’s assassins and his baby son, Thoth, lost. Raised like a cuckoo by human parents, Thoth swore revenge against the species that had murdered his mother and the father that had abandoned them when he was needed the most. Thinking his son dead, Nemesis launched ever more ferocious attacks on Torquemada and the Termite Empire, eventually leading him to the murder of Torquemada’s own children.
Soon afterwards Thoth revealed himself. With the aid of a mystically empowered Tyrannosaurus, he aimed to travel to the Black Hole Bypass at the centre of Terra that allowed humanity to travel the stars and destroy it by crashing the black hole and white hole at its core into one another. This would not only utterly destroy Terra, but would also scour the habitable systems of the galaxy clean of life, eradicating the human race and rendering Nemesis’ life work utterly pointless.
After an adventure to the end of time which revealed that Torquemada had used the tang-like organic soup humanity would evolve into as a fuel source for his warmachines, inadvertently transforming their souls into a psychic monster called the Monad, Nemesis and the ABC Warriors split up. Nemesis would pursue his son Earth’s past, where Thoth meant to murder Torquemada’s soul by destroying every incarnation of the man throughout history. The ABC Warriors, meanwhile, would go into Terra’s core to attempt to repair Black Hole Bypass itself.

If you've not read any of this before, this isn't necessarily an ideal jumping on point as its in the middle of the first part of The Black Hole. The start of the story does have a good summary of the story so far.
Huge chunks of Nemesis and the ABC Warriors was stolen for Warhammer 40k. See how many you can spot!
Last thread you began your path down the legacy of the LIfe and Death Domain. Made a Basic Vitality Pill then found a comfy cave to live in and started a farm. Made the Basic Blood Mist Pill then saved a young noble and his guard from a pack of wolves.
After helping Cyne kill the wolves he introduces himself as Cyne Raffin, personal guard of Heny Brarder, the son of Baron Brarder and looks at you with a questioning... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Welcome to The Lost Island Quest. Last thread our hero, Alan Rodain, bought some equipment and began the mission to recover Speaker. Now, Alan watches the orc village, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
You thought seeing the orc village in person would be interesting. It was for five minutes, but you've now been sitting here in the tall trees watching the orcs mill about their huts, loosely scattered about the clearing, for hours. Frankly, other than the extremely primitive nature of the whole thing it is not much different from certain backwater villages you've traipsed through on the Mainland. The orcs go about their business, which is either carving, wood-working, skinning, washing, cooking, grunting, wrestling, sparring, weaving, or your favorite, fucking. Thankfully... Comment too long. The garbage piles seem an odd sight, simply dumped in the middle of camp. They consist of odd assortments of junks, from broken-looking clubs to blunted axes to fruit peels. An elder male orc, which Rowe had pointed out was the tribal shaman, meanders through camp with the help of a walking staff, conversing with other members of the tribe and every once in a while searching gingerly through the trash piles before pulling something out to take back to his smaller hut.
You've been watching the boring every day lives of orcs since ten in the morning. Avoiding the patrols... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Your knuckles go white as the death grip you keep on your shortbow intensifies. Rowe must have noticed the change in your demeanor because she reaches a hand over to squeeze your shoulder.
“That's her fate for the rest of her life if you do something stupid and get yourself killed.” she whispers to you. Yeah, yeah she's right. You take a deep breath. A burning hot rage makes you stupid. Its the cold hate that helps. You look down to calm yourself.
“You never saw something like this before? In the war?” she asks you, looking puzzled.

You get into your fighting stance as the vampire charges you, keeping your eyes peeled for anything sneaky. He isn't a trained martial artist or anything, just a street thug, but you're not in peak form and he's a vampire. You keep on the defensive, trying to figure out a way to counterattack without leaving yourself open, dodging around his strikes.
He throws a wild haymaker at you, and then another, and another, swinging his fists almost blindly. You smirk a little bit and give him a bit of a push,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
“Let me tell you a little story. It's about the acorn and the oak tree. A man sat under an oak tree and asked it how it got so tall, and the tree replied that it simply was that way, and always had been. The man, confused, asked an acorn how it would become a tree, but the acorn didn't know, and got really sad.”
The vampire stands slowly, glaring at Andrea and snarling. Andrea turns the acorn over in her hand.
“Another acorn fell from the tree and asked the first why he was sad, and the first told him how he'd never become a great big tree.... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>Character sheet http://pastebin.com/sYia7YGa >Rules Same system as Become The Dragon Quest. If you don't know what that is, it's best of three d20 rolls. I name a stat that sums up what you're trying to do, and if I don't name a relevant skill, you try to fill in the blank based on what you're trying to accomplish. “Break open the door” might be Strength based, but if you've been playing baseball after school and there's a lead pipe nearby, you could apply your Baseball... How do you guys feel about rolling as yourself in a new game? And by that I mean both a character loosely being yourself but with some changes, or literally your IRL self transplanted into the game world.
The book tells you what all benefits mean on pages 34 and 35
Combat Implant: Gain any one of the following augmentations (see page 89): Skill Augmentation, Wafer Jack, Subdermal Armour or Characteristic Augmentation. You must take the lowest-TL Augmentation of that type. If you roll this benefit again, then you may either take a different Augmentation or the upgrade one you already possess to the next higher TL.
Hey /tg/ My little group has been playing WoD for a long time and fancy dipping our toes into a few other settings/systems to try something new.
I've volunteered to run a Fallout game, set in Florida. I've got a few general story ideas etc, but wondered what you'd recommend system wise? Want something pretty easy to use and as fun to do none physical things as it is to fight.
Thanks in advance. Also atory ideas would be welcome too.
Really, there's two effective ways to play Fallout. If you want a gritter, more lethal game where one bullet can ruin your whole day, then go for GURPS. Hell, the beta version of Fallout 1 used 1e GURPS mechanics. Hit locations, effects of radiation, crazy monsters, improvised tech, and pretty much everything you see in Fallout can be done in GURPS. There's a really quality fan supplement for GURPS, mostly focusing on FO1&2 with some FO3 content as well.
If you want a more cinematic, heroic game, you can't go wrong with Savage Worlds. SW characters... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>44409631 “Lmicht city doesn't look any better than Frundt,” you say while your ship slowly hovers over some low-rise buildings.
“Looks smaller,” Ivan comments, bringing the ship to turn around a skyscraper. There, only a scant several kilometers away, is what appears to be the Unfound base you've heard so much about. Sitting among the crumbling building is a fort-like structure seemingly completely made of polished metal. Several large landing pads enough to accommodate your frigate sit at the very... >>44409648 “Have you ever been in Unfound?” you ask her.
“No, but I've always wanted to.”
“Curiosity kills the cat, I guess.”
“That's bad luck.”
“My bad,” you chuckle. Along the way, you meet up with Beth and Viktor who regard Sya'ra with curious glances, though the girl seems oblivious to this. Regardless, you all make your way to the air lock where you meet Ley'ra, Troy, Ivan, and Comet.
“Where's Pete?” Beth asks, looking around your gathered circle.
“Said he's gonna stick in the ship, but probably go out on his own a bit later to browse for stuff,” Troy answers, his arms crossed. You imagine it must be uncomfortable to hold your fleshy arm like that with your metal one.
“Fair enough,” you say, stepping forward. You regard each one of your crew member's stares, in particular, Comet. “I'm gonna go find our contact and see what's going up with that. What are the rest of you gonna do in the meantime?”
Troy and Viktor exchange glances. “We're going to go look for a lens for the particle blaster,” Troy says while Viktor nods his head.
“I'm probably just going to look around and socialize a bit, comrade,” Ivan answers, raising his hand as he speaks.
The rest of your crew all look at each other with unknowing expressions.
>Take Comet. You promised to bring her on this mission, so it might be a good to start small. >Bring Ley'ra. You imagine there's going to be a lot of guns and combat equipment around, so you'd like her expertise. >Bring Sya'ra, she probably has the most experience with the Dustkeepers on Faraday. >Beth might be your medic for the mission, so you'd like her to be part of the briefing. >Ivan looks like he understands the language here. Bring him along. >Go find Pete and bring him with you. The guy needs to get out of the ship.
