This Volume, on Feral Necromancer Quest: You were banished from your tribe for practicing necromancy, and killing two of your elders in self- defence. You had bound your lover's, Bathory's, spirit to her skull, rather than allow her to die. She hated you for it. You found temporary dwelling in a cave in the forest, and soon met your neighbors- an elven tribe, and a pack of gnolls. Despite the prejudice of the elves and despite the monstrous nature of the gnolls you eventually made allies of them both through trickery and diplomacy both.
From one of your bound... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
You repelled their forces, though not without losses. The elven elder, who had become somewhat a friend and certainly a close ally died at the hands of drow. You had your vengeance. You collapsed a mountain on their misbegotten kind.
Then you set out on a journey to the sea, for a traditional elven burial. It went relatively smoothly, as you certainly did not find any ancient enchantress lady. On your way back, however, you did meet a race of sea-dwelling humanoids, the Mer.
You learned that Bathory is pregnant.
After returning from your travels to the... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Vlad Tepish: You, a necromancer and shaman of great skill on a quest for immortality. Your constant and insistent attempts at diplomacy with the neighboring tribes has made you a well-respected force in the area.
Bathory: Your lover and companion, brought back to life into an alchemical body. She is pregnant with your child. A skilled diplomat in her own right she brings stability and counsel to your company.
Lathrien: Your apprentice and the first vampire, he is getting better at controlling his new powers, which are substantial. The first to gain... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Your relaxing stay at the island resort has taken a turn for the strange when some of your friends seem to have fallen under some kind of amorous spell that causes them to become obsessed with you. Well, even more than they already were. Normally you wouldn't mind, but you can spy a possible disaster on the horizon. You need to fix this, and fast.
You have managed to disable and augment the enchantment placed upon you by Cocoa Torres, preventing you from inflicting the ailment known as 'Burning Heart' on any more of your suitors, however you still face... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Awakening on the cushioned floor of Cocoa Torres' beach hut is a new experience for you. The light feeling of sand flowing onto your face from the beach alongside the salty air and distinct sight of a sun rising over the ocean through the giant hole in her wall. Right, she should probably fix that; not that anyone in their right mind would try and take advantage of her. They're probably be on fire before they ever had the chance to pinch anything.
Speaking of the woman in question, Cocoa is lying... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
As you stir and awaken, you hear a similar sound beside you as Shun rises, yawning loudly. She glances at you, blinking blearily, but smiling all the same once she recognizes you.
"Ahhn~ morning Mako." She mutters in between yawns, rubbing her eyes.
"Sleep well?" You ask her. She nods back.
"Oogh, like a rock!" She replies, wrapping her arms around her legs, grinning. "Ahh man, I can't believe last night! Two cute girls, ahehe~" She giggles lightly... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>43642617 Its kind of like everywhere else, space is at a premium, so having kids is seen as a privilege, not a right. There is probably a lot of competition and having children is seen as a status symbol.
Two days had passed since your return to the rear. You’ve had some run ins with trucks carrying replacements and materiel to the front, but nothing particularly exciting. Aurelia at least volunteered to handle checkpoint duty while the rest of you lazed about with the excuse of taking watch. Already you were getting a bit of cabin fever sitting and moping about in the bunker. What the girls painted on your Striker was not too drastic at least but… well, you’re not going... You sigh, leaning back on your Striker and looking around. Aurelia sips on her coffee by the road, bundled up in a trenchcoat, a wool hat, and a helmet as she waits for newcomers. Rascal and Greta were busy building some sort of snow fort. And Thorn as usual was still scanning the horizon.
Ugh, you’re going to die of boredom. You shake your head, walking over to Greta and Rascal. “What are you two doing?” you ask.
“We’re building a fort,” says Rascal as she drops down into the... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hey guys what if there was a chapter of SMs that were considered heretics because they were able to work with aliens on a regular basis, but whenever they did meet with other SMs, they ran cause they didn't want to fight. They only fight a Tyranid Hive Fleet attacking their home world because they have some kind of artifact that may bring the Emperor back to life or some shit like that. Tell me what you think!
Your GM tells you to make a character that is your magical realm right now. What do you build?
The twist is that this is not ERP. Your GM wants you to make something that is a legitimate character concept even without the erotic element factoring in. Does it succeed or is it blatantly transparent?
A somewhat short and not too muscular looking, but very hot-blooded and enthusiastic about adventuring, fighter. Although normally very confident he gets flustered when women flirt with or show interest in him because she's actually a woman disguised as a man for vaguely defined reasons related to honor and family circumstances. Alternatively, I could go with my other biggest fetish and just play a ghoul.
You are Countess Kotijah Imidarius, and you want to be a dragon. You have known since your birth that you wanted to be one of them, to be among your ancestors, a true dragon. Instead you have been confined to something less, something lacking the grace, ferocity and raw power that you deserve.
You've been up all night long keeping an eye on Sena and Pirin, munching on pills that Kat gave you to help you stay awake. Pirin has been doing better, bit by bit. He's not as pale as he was before, and Kat assured you an hour ago that... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
The rules: Best of three rolls, critical threat on a 20, confirmed if another roll is 20-modifier or higher. Modifier is Stat being rolled+Relevant skill. You can decide which skill to apply. If no one applies one, no skill will be added on. If you don't have a logical reason to apply a skill, don't do it. Critical fails are at least two 1s on a roll.... Comment too long. The fortifications have been coming along nicely. Gimbly and Millie have been hard at work preparing a fortress of stone blocks and twisting passages, along with tunnels and concealed passages, both magical and mundane. You haven't seen Gil since you arrived, but Gimbly told you he was working hard rigging every convenient sniper position to turn it into a trap. You wonder what he'll say when he finds out what happened to Sena.

I started a MUD quite a while ago, invited some folks from /tg/ and have been slowly tailoring it and tweaking stuff. Feel free to pop on at astaria.net:5000 and just free-form-fantasy RP or smash some monsters or tell me how much I suck or whatever..
>>43641765 currently you'll have to roll a character, since we just have the one guest account enabled and if someone's logged in as it, you can't share it. Rolling only takes a couple minutes unless you really want to minmax your character, though.

You are Sierra Beckhoff, and you are the Imperiate – the one true tyrant of the thousand hells. Or something like that, anyway. You’re working on it.
You’re currently on your way to meet with Borislav the druid about mastering a primordial elemental over by Lake Erie. With the Archduke of Mardusia, the Golden Serpent, and a Grand Wyrmwrither getting on your case, you... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Well, if she knows things, you might as well see what she’ll tell you. She already told you about Cadwyn – even if it doesn’t really relate to your current situation, you definitely didn’t know about that before. “Why’s Big Yellow so hot for Roger, anyway?” you ask. “He’s not that good-looking, he’s just Canadian. Don’t tell me Hassatur’s his dad or something crazy like that.”
There’s a serious glint in her eye at the question, her expression drawn. “Roger is the King in Yellow’s... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Because the nobility knows 99% of the adventurers will die. Best-case scenario, the adventurers recover a long-lost treasure or defeat an ancient evil threatening the kingdom, and the nobility loses some of its cash.
>>43640974 Because by tying the adventurers to their nobility they ensure 1) they stick around to help out. No one is going off to raid a jungle temple if the orcs are busy raiding the estates back home 2) They become aligned with the nobles within the country rather than with the church, the city dwelling bourgeois, or god forbid a different country 3) These adventurers invest in local infrastructure to try to improve their land or standings. Feasts, mighty castles, ultra fancy clothes, these all cost money and in... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>43641074 >>43641001 Combine these two and, in a nutshell, you get the most competent of the adventurers as defenders of your realm and, being used to a lifestyle of spending what you have while you have it since you may die soon, more likely to spend in your holdings.
>>43640764 Depends on how you define railroading, though I'd say almost all compaigns have some reailroading at the start. You're not going to just say "You're in a tavern, where do you go?", you have to present some hooks or something. Usually a strong hook related to a planned BBEG that will get them started, not just killing some rats etc.
Why is /tg/ so fucking hung up on this term "railroading"?
Look, I know 99% of you are players who have no concept of what goes on in a game besides "LOL I CAN DO ANYTHINg!" and you've never actually stopped to consider that not all, not even fucking most games are "open sandboxes" for you to shit in.
You guys spend so much time harping on the concept of "railroading" that you make people who eventually go on to become DMs terrified of the notion of accidentally committing that one cardinal sin of giving their players... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
