How does one Your Dudes Khorne Daemons?

Heck, how does one Your Dudes Daemons in general?

I can understand the Warbands that fight under/worship them, but not the Daemons themselves, and this is giving me a problem. I don't care if it's AoS, Fantasy, or 40k, I just want to know how you anons Your Dudes your Daemons.

You realise Daemon princes, heralds and greater demons are renowned for being selfish assholes bent on their own gains right?
>>
Khornate daemons are organized into hosts with different specializations according to the KDK codex.
>>
>>50431661
Yeah, I can understand Daemon Princes, as they're usually dudes who got to ascend and learn of the true meaning of Eternal Servitude and all that, but what about the regular Bloodletters and Bloodcrushers and Blood and Gore and other things?

With Heralds and Greater Daemons I just don't know enough really. That, and I'm tired. It's almost 1:00 AM here.

I would like to run a dungeon module the good old Gary Gaygax way, mainly because I want us to learn the rules. Now I don't want to play the begginers edition, I want the full game from the start. We can remember the rules it aint hard for us, we just gotta get used to em. I get it I could run DnD 3 and DnD 3.5 modules using pathfinder as well? That gives me a large database, and I have never played the "3rd Edition DnD" so I know of none. If you remember playing a 3-4 session module I would like to try that one out, k, thanks.

What do you do when your GM gives the whole group a shitty story hook like "Why don't you go down this hole that people have died in?", and the half the group realises it's a shitty hook, and says no, and the other half says "Yeah!" and calls the other half of the group cowards for not taking the shitty plot hook?

Talk to the other players. Some people will jump at the chance to explore some random place for no good reason. This sounds like something that you, as a player, don't want to do. It's everyone's responsibility that everyone at the table is having fun.

Or if the problem is that your GM is shit, then.. quit, maybe?

What can be done to make succubus interesting? I think they are worn out jokes or fantasies. I want to make them up as a race that has no "males" and needs to be able to attract other races. But they have males, they're called incubi
>>
>>50422193
Have them be like the Asari, and focus them less as cockhungry tarts, and more of a socially proficient race of Djinni.

As for the female-only aspect, fertility is most commonly associated with women, therefore they subconsciously take in desires mentally, and their bodies adjust to fit in with those desires.

Also, not exclusively evil, because if anything they are most suited to be confidantes and the trope of succubi being evil is honestly too cliche.
>>
>>50422456
Might be better to call them something other than succubi if you dont intend to invoke the evil connotation, though

Favorite commander is, and always will be, this homeboy. With enough artifact ramp and some disruption he can be surprisingly powerful, and games with him are quick and memorable. The fact he actively shits on life gain strategies and to a lesser extent pillow-fort and group hug make it even better.

Worst commander deck was newzuri, bought the precon as an afterthought because I thought it might be good. UG is just a cancerous color combo and I don't like how goodstuffy it can be.

Inspired by Lovedagger, I am suddenly feeling the urge to make a game about gorgeously dressed 18th century Austrian aristocrats stabbing each other in the back for status, power, and marriage into the royal family over the course of a night at the ball.

A game like that is going to live and die by the vivid descriptions. What ideas do you have for sensual experiences to liven up the night? What delectable foodstuffs from the farthest reaches of the empire are served (and with what wine)? What sort of music plays in the background? Just how impractically wide will the ladies' dresses get? What's the proper procedure for inviting a fellow gentlemen to a duel of honor (are sword duels still in vogue, or are pistols now all the rage)? When lying out of your nose about your military achievements, which cavalry unit should you claim to have served on, and in what battle?

If it's a roleplaying game then be warned; players are generally not good at intrigue, they think they are but even a genius tier PC plan is only genius in context, in real life they're generally more like that Witcher 3 quest where Geralt, Lambert and Eskel get wasted.

DnD 5e. To DM's or knowledgeable players, I'm having trouble formulate a scenario to have all my player's meet with each other at the same time. Sure the normal "we are all in a tavern at this moment in time" works but can be awkward and non immersive to the roleplaying of the players. I ask this because during my experiences of beginning a oneshot or participating in a campaign, the beginning has always been janky and awkward when beginning. Any help?

Talk to your players. Tell them how you'd like them to start it and give them the challenge of coming up with a (simple) reason their character is there.

You don't even need to go into too much detail. Hell, pull a leaf from the Elder Scrolls games and say "Your character is in the dungeon beneath a baron's keep. Tell me what they did to get thrown in there."
>>
>>50418499
Have some players consolidate their starting stories if they are at all comparable. Maybe two or three of the like minded characters already formed a group, that can then be used to further rope in other characters. For instance if you have a few left over characters you can give them their own sort of solo start, and then use their backstory/motivation to create a hook that can draw them to the party. Maybe the avarice consumed thief joins the party because he sees them bragging about how much money they made off...

Can we get a DIY Terrain thread going?

I'll start. I'm a poorfag in college trying to get back into playing some Warhammer 40k (or really anything wargammimg) and am reading to get back into it at school. My buddy back home and I play games typically involving investigating A Space Station or Hulk and figuring out what happened to it. (This is a homebrew game set in W40K that kinda takes from spacehulk, W40K and some RPG elements). Long story short I want to keep playing at school and need advice on any terrain involving a big ministerial space station or craft....

Meet them halfway on it, like playing an all witches campaign with all characters being part of a small coven.

I'm building an archery based character for the first time, and I want him to have a lot of utility in his weaponry.

Using magic as sparingly as possible, what are some interesting arrow types you can think of? I'm stuck on rope arrows, blunted arrows, silvered, and standard ones.

Magic *is* accessible to make other types, I'm just trying to avoid handwaving with it as much as I can.

You're now a beacon that every monster in the setting can see and when you die your soul empowers some asshole that branded you.

Paraphrased; I stopped reading a while ago.

How do you like your angels?

Helpful, vindictive, or just a fever-dream of that one blonde who claims they're Aasimar?

>how do you like your angels
Sexy.

>Helpful
Eh, I treat them and demons more like people with a personality trait that lends itself to being either beneficent or maleficent, then go from there. Angels can be very bitter, angry beings, and demons can be helpful and kind but ultimately selfishly motivated.

>vindictive
Depends on that being's existence. Maybe.

>fever-dream

Just to start us off: What's your absolute favourite DFC ship so far? It can be for looks, rules, concept, whatever.

For me it's Taipeis, because of how fun they are to use. They're just a gang of little assholes that can sneak around being annoying to kill before activating twice out of nowhere and sending 24-44 shots towards an important ship. A pathfinder BG with 4 Taipeis and 2 Nawlins is probably going to find its way into quite a few of my lists.

Give me dem Djinns, I want to send as big a wave of plasma to burn an enemy as I can. I love how they look like a boxer, I love the damage they do, I love that they can go atmospheric to avoid shots like nothing else.

I have a thing for broadisides, so I have to go with the Leonidas, purely on aesthetics - the smooth hull, the jutting fins, and the row upon row of cannons the size of houses. Cannot wait for mine to get here.

66 KB,
How about a round of the oldest, most sophisticated traditional game, /tg/?
We'll play by Leicester Standard, as that's obviously the best choice for our particular circumstances.
I'll make the opening play:
