What ever happened with that Golden Sun RPG that some one was developing and posting here on /tg/?
It was worked on roughly two years ago, pretty much by one anon (though I had a good hand in it). Here's what came of it.

I must stress that this isn't my system, though. It was another anon who was doing all the heavy lifting by himself. I had some input on the system, though, and I even contributed a fair number of sample djinn and custom equipment (though I think the equipment suggestions are lost). I guess you could say I had more of an advisory role on this system.
Alright, I was reading through it to see how Djinns were handled, and....is it really wise to keep the stat ups/downs based on equipped djinns?
It's alright when you have a computer to add and subtract everything, but you need a shorthand for every single permutation of djinn combo to keep the math from boiling over.

There are a few changes I can think of, but I'm not nearly as sure about them as I would like.
Definitely remove the individual stat buffs between individual Djinn. It really matters too little. Make each djinn just Element, Name, Unleash, and most importantly
I would go so far as to remove stat distinctions between element for djinn, too. Make the stat buff entirely dependent on class and class alone. I understand if others would disagree though.
Now, how to navigate the Class problem. What do you think of setting 4-5 Classes that will be ALL that you'll use through a battle?
You pick each class from the possible djinns in your possession. Keep the spell lists and stat templates for each class, and those are fixed, regardless of EXACTLY how many djinns are up. Then just switch between these classes, ignoring the fact that you don't actually have the right djinns for X class in favor of keeping things fast while keeping options available.
Yes, but for individual djinns, that's a single digit stats in the game.
Here, it's more pronounced, but no less of a nightmare to calculate and update with every unleash, hence the simplification.
I'm gonna guess much the same thing that happened to that Valkyria Chronicles adaptation of Only War... Sad really.
