We got our game last night, managed to get it together and play the tutorial + 2 years. SO MUCH FUN. We all loved it.
We have two survivors die in the tutorial, and our first full lion hunt was pretty tough, though we managed to have nobody die, we just all came back severely wounded. Our second lantern year hunt was much easier though, cause we got a couple bone axes, a cat gut bow, and a bone blade from debris. My character even has both Crazed and Immortality now, so she's getting pretty strong if she can maintain insanity income.
I'm assembling the Antelope now, since we wanna hunt that once before we have to deal with the King's Men on year 4. This game is incredible, and even though there's tons of content in the main box, I immediately want to get expansions. 7 enemies is enough, but I need mooooore.
Have people had success magnetizing the player/armor pieces? Before we got the game I was definitely down to do it, but now that I've seen the stuff... I only have some experience magnetizing, and it was WMH models, which are a lot beefier in general. KD:M is more in line with Malifaux in terms of body thickness and such. It'd be so cool to mix and match but I'm worried I can't pull it off.
Got me a bunch of goodies when they went up last night.
Got the pin-up box because I'm a weeb faggot.
I wonder how much Poots earns after production costs, salaries, and taxes for each model. In any case, it must be quite a nice injection of cash selling a couple of thousand minis in the span of a few hours.
>I'm assembling the Antelope now, since we wanna hunt that once before we have to deal with the King's Men on year 4
You mean the butcher, King's men appear at Ly 06. Just craft 1 or 2 bandages and you might be fine.
You can just let the Men fuck you up and not have a showdown with them if you want. In fact, you REALLY don't want to fight them
unless you have 4 daggers and 4 shieldsbecause you have a forced showdown with them at Ly 09.
$12500 per run of 500 for the dudes, and that's at $25 not $26.
They sold out of what...5 runs already and are now doing 3 Encores. $62500 without the Encore runs. This is also excluding the Frogdog (115x115 so a extra 13k).
So it's probably around 100k easy.
Do 4 odd sales a year and you're breaking a cool half million. Not bad at all for arguably a in house production. Hard to guess the profit margin but I'm sure he's doing quite well.
Probably depends on the how expensive the molds are, since I can't see the material being too expensive.
The Class series must be almost all profit at this point since they reuse the mold.
If you missed the sales last night, note that an encore is up again right now for a few of the sell outs.
>just impulse bought the Halloween Twilight Knight
Help I am drowning in resin tiddy.
motherfucker, witchboy 4 has a much cuter outfit than witchboy 3 does, but has that awful pose where he's playing rockpaperscissors with his shadowbeast.
I'm not even sure if it can be salvaged, since we don't see the unassembled version.
Really digging the lore for the disciples of the witch and the abyssal woods. Would love to see a campaign variant expansion with the disciple figures and in plastic, some day, and maybe the Evil Jungle Queen as the monster in the box.
The three by Loknam are up on his Facebook page. The two men I assume are probably up on some gallery of their artist.
But now the important question.
Which one is the sexiest?
Probably somewhere here. He's got most of the pin-ups up. Don't really like the Halloween Knight pin-up myself though, the fanservice to fantasy ratio is a bit too leaned left for me.
If only glasses on miniatures didn't looks so awkward...
I am sorry my friend.
Perhaps in that specific picture she decided to ditch them for... 'combat reasons'
Ok, so for witchboy 4, change his hand to some else from one of the surviors.... open palm, pointing finger... then green stuff the shadow. Make the scissor hand into a fin and give the "front" of the figure a large open shark maw.
This one is my favorite because she has the spookiest cape. I just wish the guys were a little less bland. Four is alright but Three is just nothing at all. Also Twilight Knight pinup looks like an 300 pound housewife in a spandex suit. The proportions are just silly.
Is the pledge manager closed? I just want to see a list of the stuff I ordered.
You should have received an email with the words "Kingdom Death Pledge Receipt" every time you updated your pledge. If you search for it in your email, you should be able to see everything you ordered.
Thanks mate. Couldn't find the confirmation with all those other kd mails in my inbox.
Glad to see it did order the Sunstalker and Slenderman.
Look on the bright side, the 3d model files will be posted online and you can get them 3D printed for pennies on the dollar for ABS/PVC/plastics or spend the same amount for DMLS Aluminum/316L Stainless Steel/Co-Cr/titanium/Inconel versions.
What are the one shot challenges? Are they like sidequests or something?
Yeah, meanwhile I can't buy either because parents apparently aren't financially responsible enough to take care of themselves, let alone of my little brother. There goes my disposable part of the income.
>competing sob stories on a site that attracts cripples and the literally mentally ill
Nothing concrete still
that I know ofbut the idea for a year or so has been that certain monsters or event cardswill come with a preplanned fight that lets you 'earn' gear related to the challenge
Pin-up Box of 8 cuties, Witch 3, Warrior, and Pumpkin Cutie.
I spent too much on non-content but they got me man, they got me.
Is there any reason in the entire world to NOT run a femdom campaign? Considering that is one of the most common fetishes in existence (along with feet supposedly), you probably couldn't go wrong with that
>play great game hunters
>dominate ammo slaves
Just finished a session the combat and events are awesome, but man the rulebook is killing the flow. I have taught people to play 40K and Pathfinder and it is night and day between the rulebooks. Its like the poor game is trapped in its own lightless hellscape.
>not wanting a cute shota for a dick
Do you even /tg/ anon?
Also about to try spending all my Graves endeavor to make some more people before I have to fight back-to-back King's Hands. Hopefully I'll have enough to not kill my settlement entirely.
Is Kingdom Death fun to play?
Sometimes I regret not funding it when I had the chance because the artwork was so cheeky. Then again, I moved to another continent on the other side of the planet and wouldn't be able to play it with my friends anyways.
The models alone justify the costs for the preorder, which you can currently get right now while stocks last.
Larger (and truer) scale and higher detail than even Gamesworkshop models.
The game is also pretty great as well. Even just playing it in Roll20 with tokens it's really fun to play. It's a pretty good middleground of boardgame and tabletop RPG. The truely co-op nature of it, and how you actually kinda need to think about your moves against an AI instead of GM is pretty cool. Our group has been doing a spoiler-free run and we're having a blast.
>Tankred continues to endure, but Reggie's body wasn't ready. RIP Reggie
Just ran the prologue with friends for Halloween. 2 questions:
1. Can you attack diagonally?
2. Does the 5-6 player hard mode variant apply to the prologue, or no because you aren't departing from a settlement?
Yes, as long as you're adjacent, but you might not get blind spot bonuses depending on exactly where your survivor is.
I am not sure, but it would seem like it does (assuming you start with 5/6 founding survivors instead of the regular 4).
1. No, and neither can your enemy unless it specifies it. There are weapons with Reach 2, which lets you attack from one space away or diagonally. (spears, mainly) While I'm not 100% on this, Ranged weapons like bows travel in a non-zigsagging path. Remember, a blind spot requires you to be behind the monster, not hitting the rear of the monster.
2. We treat it like a level 1 lion regards to the life attribute. It's already a pretty easy fight, and two more sources of damage make it die too quickly without buffing it at least some. However, since it's a tutorial mainly, we did not use the stat tokens, just the life attribute.
That's Enji Night with narrower shoulders.
Just fought against the Tutorial Lion, with one casualty because Dorans head exploded after the lions second roar.
My two females almost died, too, but they managed it and even cut of the lions tail and testicles.
My other male survivor was pretty much useless and got knocked back and down into the wall most of the time.
Selene got Post-Traumatic Stress and was the first one to use language, so I got lucky on that I guess since she had to sit out the next hunt either way.
And Yuria got the Honorable "Dissorder". She also scared herself on the first grave, I fear she will die a soon but epic death.
Got myself a Rawhide Hood and Vest with a Bone Blade, and a Skull Helm. Hope the first Hunt and next Showdown will not fuck me up too much.
I think the Hungarian goverment have some genetic experiments going on. My sources say they want to become an empire again, but this time by breeding out the neighbouring countries.
Same here, actually, arrived here yesterday.
A bit strange and surprising, because I never got any mail telling me it was sent.
It even got sent from Germany, did not know they had their warehouse here for Europe.
>awesome looking board game#
>sweet as fuck minis
>tfw i can't paint for shit
It looks like a monkey ate some crayons and threw it's shit at a mini.
Our Settlement fought the Hand last night after resisting his inspection. We have had a lot of bad luck recently and were not willing to take a loss of resources after finally starting to get back on track. We decided not to actually attack him and just weather his attacks until applause came up. One survivor ended up tanking most attacks for the fight, slowly getting ripped apart while another survivor tended to him with bandages until the Hand punched him so hard in the liver his arms flew off and he died. Thankfully at that point we had gotten through most of his AI cards and the three remaining survivors managed to get through his remaining attacks without being hurt too bad, having their broken injuries repaired with applause and two of them getting the stat increase and fighting art.
With us originally expecting everyone to die like in our past two King's Man encounters, it was a surprisingly good outcome.
Gaze upon the true face of autism.
See? The Hungarian goverments experiments are succeding!
Save yourself, lest you'd be trapped between thick thighs of lusty hungarian maids, hungry for your ballsnot!
But traps looks like feminine guys.
We're talking about women here.
I really like pumpkin booty and savior personally.

Go my team of Tau Warrior, Tau Drone, Kroot Warror and Arwen figure, kick that Splatoon Amiibos butt!
>Splatoon Amiibos butt
Red or Blue? This is important.
In no particular order, I really like the Rawhide Dame, Twilight Witch, and Survivor.
I actually regret buying some of the resin pinups on kickstarter. I got them because I didn't think the plastics would be as good. But the plastics turned out better than I had expected.
So, where can I check the status of my order? I bought the game a month ago and all I got is the order number, which I can use for... what?
I just wanna make sure it's all fine, or see exactly when it's sent. I'm from EU if that matters at all.
I received the game this saturday in germany and i have received no tracking number prior to it, even though i paid international priority just to get one.
Shipping fees are a rip off man. It'll arrive. If you're really worried about it just email poots. I did but all he told me was that he is waiting for the warehouse to give him the tracking stuff or something.
Actually, if you read the latest KS update, people in the EU who paid for anything more than the most basic shipping will get the difference refunded, since there's only one shipping option for EU.
Also, RoWfag here salty about pre order people getting their stuff before me.
But at least no pre-orders in my area before me.
So, one thing that my group has run into recently is the thing with shields. Now shields are weapons, they are not armor or anything else. Specifically the rules state that you can have as many items on your grid as you want but only get the special rule benefit of each individual weapon once so you can't stack up 2 of the same deadly weapons to get 2 luck and you can't stack up 2 of the same shield to get the overall armor bonus. However there is no care about "shields" themselves as much as only on each individual shield, so you can actually have a person with a leather shield, scrap shield, phoenix shield and beacon shield if you so wanted and based on how the rules are RAW, the armor bonuses from the shields would all stack up. In addition there's nothing stating that you need to use another 1-handed weapon with a shield and so there's nothing stopping your archer or zanbazerker from strapping on 2-3 different shields and surging to block when targeted by a monster attack.
That's right, surge when targeted by the monster attack. Your survivor actions actually have frequent opportunities for you to use them. The turn cycle is monster turn - survivor turn with one surge to be used in that entire round, but you can use survivor actions not just on your turn, but also in many locations on a monster's turn such as when it targets you with an attack, during the flow arrows of the attack AI card and during the reactions that happen from hit location effects.
Of course you can do things like
>dodge the reaction attack
>dash out of range of the monster after it targets you but before it does the action
>surge to block after being the target but before the action is done.
But you can also do things like
>surge to attack the phoenix after it moves up and attacks you with a grand weapon specialist, getting a crit on the attack and knocking the monster down to prevent further actions from zeal (this is also doable with a founding stone and proper cateye)
The Guidepost Halberd here is especially good in interrupting monster effects with monster turn surge because unlike leather which states you move 1 space after your action, the Guidepost Halberd moves 2 spaces after the *attack*. This means that grab from level 2+ lions can be avoided without the use of dash.
tl;dr - The only necessary survivor action to be spent during the survivor turn is encourage. Always look for ways to use survival actions during the monster turn to give it a taste of what it's like to get trapped.
An interesting combo that we also recently have happen in game is the combination of Peerless and Bitter Frenzy. This has been given a whole new meaning by the acquisition of the Steel Shield item.
Bitter frenzy allows the use of 1 survival to frenzy yourself for 1 str, 1 speed and 1d5 insanity. Peerless turns that insanity into survival and Leather Armor prevents the bash knockdown.
Steel Shield essentially gives you infinite dodges a turn, since it allows you to spend an action or a survival to negate a hit with no limit. Counting a surge used for frenzy, you are looking at 2d5-1 average insanity and survival gain a turn which can all be spent on Steel Shield hit negations. All the while you build up str and speed tokens so if the opportunity ever happens you shield slam with the force of an exploding sun.
The best part is? If you have a survivor with Red Fist, you can spend the additional str tokens you get from your double frenzy a turn as survival as well.
Afraid of Doomed? Use rawhide and pre-empt the number of hits you believe you will happen.
Or attack after it's moved and hit you but before subsequent actions during it's turn happens - Zeal/Cunning/Diabolical
You are right though, the attacking survivor cannot use survival but all the other survivors can, this is especially relevant for cases such as lion charging or eye of the storm effects. You are correct though. "dodging the reaction attack" is miss-worded and not a legal action/
I was going to tell you how much this didn't work, until I realized this actually works. Not infinite blocks, but certainly a lot. Now I understand why the Steel Shield has a -3 movement penalty. Yeesh.
I found Peerless in the glossary, but didn't see where you could pick it up. Where does it come from?
Allister and Zach are kind of out of the running due to their sculpts and that the girls don't have a pinup.
The male named survivor could get one, like how Aya got one.
Male Twilight Knight?
Any of the monsters could get one as well, going off the Wet Nurse. Maybe a knight?
I think this is supposed to be the male Twilight Knight pin-up. It's an image from the Kingdom Death blog.
Which neeeever gets updated.
I literally go to work thinking the stuff in the shop will still be there when I got back. Fuck me.
At least I was able to snag One, Six, and Three.
Never, ever think stuff in the KD shop will be around when you get back from anything.
...unless its the apotheosis miniatures. At this point, I think those things are going to settle down, start a family, grow old, and retire before anyone bothers to buy them out...
>mfw bone shortage early on
Also why does anyone recommend building bone darts? I haven't been able to hit dick with it.
because white lions ground fighting is a thing. Look it up, should make things clear. You really want something with range for that and you might not have any founding stones left.
I'll use him a dragon savior if that's a thing with the dragonking expansion, or as a wandering survivor that joins the settlement.
Head cannon says those dragons use the "survival of the fittest" so send the mother a child away into the great dark.
>play KDM with three mexicans
>character names are krywolve, diogenes, a survivor named rawhide, and cesar
>city name tittydickopolis
>kill a tutorial white lion and a level one white lion
>the event for age had my character running away and breaking her jaw
>other characters start hating on me for some reason
>get abnother event, forget how, where we choose a favorite and an unfavorite and have them reenact a hunt
>my character is the unfavorite because one guy hates it for some reason and is loudest first
>my character ends up killing the favorite
>through various events and bullshit get a character with +2 strength, +2 accuracy, +1 luck, and monster claw style
>after the tutorial and one year
I don't think male pinups will really work for the female sexuality if they just do it in a similiar way. But I have the feeling that the market is rather faggos anyways.
So we got the Muramasa and this guy with Last Man standing and 10 insanity... and we've sent him out on multiple solo hunts just to see how he can go. Hanzo II has really vastly outperformed what we expected of him, killing lvl 1 Lion's with ease just by duking it out in a field of tall grass. We even had him fight against the Hand, with a beacon shield, leather armor, monster grease and a trusty dried acathus. Through a hard battle and the cost of his literal manhood, Hanzo prevailed and received a lucky 1 on the roll for respect that saved his life and got him swordsman's promise.
However this was only possible with us houseruling a Katana mastery that had the specialization make the weapon lose frail. For the mastery we were thinking of having Katana's count as swords. Hanzo has already hit it and luckily sired 2 children with proficiency in Katanas to continue the legacy if need be.
>the cost of his literal manhood
>sired 2 children
Any other miniature brands on a similar scale to Kingdom Death? I'm trying to figure out what to do with my extra heads and shit for the variable figures, and the only bits I have that come close are Malifaux.
And man, fuck Malifaux.
Your first death triggers the first death event.
You get the principles of death as a result of the first death.
They trigger when things die, not retroactively triggering for every death you've had before as well.
I REALLY wish he would at least do weekly updates so we know whats going on or if we're getting anything neat soon. Having a functioning news page would be ideal.
>butcher encounter this year
>not enough hide to make zanbatos+bandages and armor, only one or the other
I shouldn't have tried to cure the plague. And maybe I should've used more founding stones on resource locations.
Let's say that you have 3 speed total with your bow. You attack 3 times. Bow Spec. allows you to reroll any individual attack roll that missed, but only 1 time per roll AND you can only trigger it once per attack "phase".
The result for your 3 attack rolls are 1 Hit and 2 Miss. You decide to activate the Bow Specialisation here to reroll the failed rolls:
Hit. -> You don't need to do anything here.
Miss. -> Bow Spec Reroll-> It hit the target this time.
Miss. -> Bow Spec Reroll-> Another Miss -> You can't reroll it again, you only get 1 reroll per roll.
Legendary lugs triggers after your initial attack "ends" and it gives you more rolls according to the successful hits. In my example we managed to hit 2 times, so LL will give you 2 more attack rolls.
First attack roll from LL Hits.
Second attack roll from LL is a Miss. ->You can't use the Bow Spec. here because you already used it during the initial attack rolls.
Both Bow Spec. and Legendary Lugs like all other "once per attack" abilities can trigger only once per a survivor's attack "phase" so you can't use their effects indefinitely. Be smart about their usage.
I think Erza and Lucy have both shown up in pinups for Lioness and Rawhide Dame. At least Lioness seems to match Lucy's blue hair etc
Weren't you saying on an earlier post that you ordered your in October? I paid for mine in September and am still waiting in the UK.... I guess that they're not doing it in order date-order. :P
I paid for mine in August. I'm starting to get real bothered by this shipping schedule.
I wouldn't mind being one of the later people to receive so much if there was a pattern to it. Not knowing makes me anxious.
Yeah. It does give me time to paint all the stuff I've been putting off for the last year and a half though. Rather liking how the forsaker is coming out... though I might need to bash together a light-box if I ever want to take decent photos of it.
Yes, 3rd October.
I have really no idea why I got this lucky.
Maybe it has something to do with the warehouse being in Germany?
The package was sent from a German location at least.
I never heard of them up until they sent me Kingdom Deaht.
Now that I googled them I find out they are 30 km away from me and are actualyl releasein WarmaHordes in German here.
All this time I could have simply drive there and stole all those KD:M boxes
I had never heard of them either, but they appear to be quite the import company for overseas games, so their KD:M connection makes sense now. And I have to say, DHL shipping from them to the Netherlands was really quick.
Jesus Christ my typing is getting real shit, I should go to sleep.
Now that I know that I wonder if they would actually release a translated version of KD:M.
Would make playing with friends who are not using English eveyday a lot easier.
Unless KD:M absolutely blows up in terms of popularity, I don't really see a translated version coming out. Can you imagine how expensive that would get... Yikes.
Add the normal retail price of $400 and double it for all the hours the translators put in getting it to a point where the language doesn't look like a bad Google-translate job...
Not sure if there's enough of a market to warrant that kind of investment.
Just finished my first KD mini, the Scifi TK. She was pretty fun to paint!
That's looking great!
Yeah, just wishfull thinking on my part.
Even without the miniatures there are still hundreds of cards to translate and print.
And if you just release the rules and cards without the miniatures all buyers had to get the English Version anyway for the models.
I asked Poots and he said she's planned for release.
I cannot contain my
Haha... She's not looking bad, but it's night-time and my camera doesn't like artificial light (or, to be more honest, I don't know how to work the macros). Your Knight is nicer though. I've got about 15 KD minis kicking about that I need to assemble and paint... might do the Satans next because.... perversion.
I've still got the Pumpkin set from -LAST- year... and the Christmas set too... That said, the plastic is easier to work with than resin.
I'm using oyumaru/instamold to make press molds of the stone face bases. Also, I have a resin Lion Knight 2nd and I've made a mold of that too for the larger bases.
The Lion Knight's base is a bunch of screaming faces, so given how horrible the monsters are, I think it's pretty appropriate.
Yeah, I still have a TK pinup from before the remastered version still in box and on the sprue, and a bunch more after that. I didnt want to even touch them until I felt I could at least put a decent effort on them. My mini ATM is either the Rawhide Dame or Blacksmith pinup.
Literally 2 desk lamps. One of them was too bright so I had to angle it away. And taken with my phone.
I have an extra of this one, not Messenger of Courage.
>dat hair tho.
The hips, thighs, butt, and chest were already doing it for me, but the hair options are putting it over the top. Blunted bangs with either pinned up victory rolls OR thick curls? I might have to buy two. This will be my secret shame.
I'll have to buy two.
I've been waiting too long for this model.
That being said, I like the lancer version much, much more than the sword version.
I like to imagine them at job interviews
>So tell us a little about yourself?
>well in my spare time i Iike to purchase tiny models on the internet with large tits and pretend they're my girlfriend. I also collect pictures of said girlfriend
>When can you start?!?!
Gets me every time
my box is coming by the end of the week. does anyone know if KMC Perfect Fit sleeves match the size of the cards? I have the overwhelming urge to preserve this game since it's so expensive.
KMC sleeves are for MTG, right? They're too big I think. I use FFG standard american sleeves and they are perfect. I bought 10 packs and it still wasnt enough. But thankfully we're not at the Watcher or the Hand yet.
How does one get bonuses to their severe wound rolls in order to hit the higher numbers (13+ on a D10?!) I can't find it in the book anywhere.
Also, latern 10s on attack rolls do nothing to help the wound unless the weapon specifically says it doesn't, right?
>Also, latern 10s on attack rolls do nothing to help the wound unless the weapon specifically says it doesn't, right?
Yes. Also the Accept Darkness principle gives you +2 to all Brain Trauma rolls. Where you get the last bonus +1 to reach 13 I don't know.
Has anyone purchased KD recasts? I'd like to get the mage and white speaker nico models, but who knows when or if they'll get encores. I also don't want to pay the ebay tax. Is the quality comparable? I would be a little bummed about lacking the art cards and cute boxes though...
Recasts come with all the same stuff (stamped box, mini amd full art cards), and a resin-cast model. Only thing you don't get is one of the signed certs for the limited ed casting number.
The official encores come with everything.
3rd party recasts are going to vary WILDLY. If there's no picture of the art card, etc. and it's not in the description, assume you're not getting it.
Git gud, ask WIP in a calm and friendly manner. Right now there's one guy sperging the fuck out, making everyone look like retards for liking kingdom death models.
With a vallejo starter kit at 20$ a few brushes from your local model train store you should be able to get some decent results if you thin properly.
Remember to clean mold lines and prime though. I like using vallejo airbrush primer myself, but I brush it on. Cans are spooky as fuck with the weather conditions where I live, about 50% chance of it coming it out just right or ruining your models.
It's called a perfect hit, and some weapons and fighting arts (maybe other things?) refer to it by name.
It's also always a hit, even if you have -100 accuracy and the target has +100 evasion.
>one guy sperging the fuck out,
Yeah, I dont get wtf his deal is. I'll post my curreny WIP here.
You won't be getting art cards or boxes with recasts and if you did they'd be grainy and substandard.
This was a recast,
cape had no detail on one side,
mold lines and flash were a lot more pronounced than the real thing.
There were gaps in random details and the horns were uneven thicknesses.
Surface details are a little on the soft side.
Pinning it was a nightmare, although it's the same with the real one.
Overall I'm Ok with it. Would purchase again
Undercoat white and learn about the word of our saviour..... Acrylic flow improver. Seriously, this stuff allows you to use paint thinned down to ink-levels. It's great stuff.... and the Winsor & Newton version acts as a local anasthetic... so your mouth goes numb if you suck your brushes.
While I don't mind having to wait all that much, I'm not terribly keen on being told I had 2 day priority shipping, then having it suddenly switch to FedEx Ground. Currently my order is in the middle of a relaxed tour of the lower 48 states, and since 12am Monday has made it from CA to WY.
Actually, you could use the standard europe ones to. Its a little bigger, but I use them with the green package ones for the quick reference. You wouldn't know how many times I have lost the traits into the AI deck rather than starting with them out. Or not being able to find them while the hunt phase is going on.
Having a slightly bigger sleeve makes in easy to pick out.
Oh no, my secret of being a weeb faggot got out!
Oh no, my secret of being a heterosexual male got out!
I thought we were all supposed to be faggots
holy fuck bruhs can you even satisfy her with anything less than an 8'' by 6''?
Seriously though, this is borderline /e/ and I kind of want to buy these cheesecakes now. Though if I ever use them for the game I'll be that weird fucking creepo who no one wants to hang out with.
Poots knows his market, that is for sure. I just wish his genius in making us want these things also didn't have real, tangible real-life social consequences
I don't think they're shipping the Halloween stuff yet. I saw some talk about how there were issues on the store page about individual miniatures costing separate shipping and that people were getting emails about that being corrected. They might still be fixing up orders.
But it works, for flavor reasons at least
Just imagine that
the -1 evasion is an attention grabbing cameltoe and the +1 luck is her getting lucky with them nasty nasty monsters :)
I just got mine today. I live about 30 minutes away from them so if your not in the metro NY area, probably will get yours in a few days. For some reason I did not get a shipping confirmation this time.
A friendly reminder works miracles.
I ordered some stuff in September and by the time it was like 10/25 I still never received anything, so I sent him an email asking about it. I shit you not, literally two hours later he responded saying my order has now been shipped. The guy's just overwhelmed. Just shoot a friendly reminder and he'll probably get to it.
I sent them an e-mail asking that my shipping be combined.
It looked like this was pretty much a site-wide issue and seeing how many miniatures they have to ship I wouldn't be surprised to see if this takes a week or two.
I just hope they actually combine shipping for me. I'm spending like an extra 30 bucks on shipping if they don't...
had the same issue.
I've have my shipping combined before. They refunded the difference. This Halloween seemed busier than last year (even had an immediate Encore of some of the disciples), so it'll probably take a bit longer to resolve everyone's issues.
Man, collector stuff stays on the shelf, where it is
>a. Safe from harm

Imagine if you dropped a collection piece by accident, or someone accidentally (or even intentionally) tosses something on your carrying bag and it breaks. Keep that shit safe from the horrors of the worls, Anon.
I kinda agree here. A lot of the parts on these things can be quite brittle so using them around your average gaming group would be ill advised. I know a lot of the miniatures I built and painted for my players have ended up on the floor on multiple occasions or hit by wild dice. It's almost like you have to see most of these miniatures as a tiny collectible statue/figure instead of a game piece.
Of course ultimately they are in fact game pieces designed to be used. I'm sure nobody would really care if you used the pinups in the actual Monster game. Using them anywhere else though depends on your group.
Personally, I'm only buying KD models with the intention of using them in campaigns.
The most conspicuous one I've picked up is the Sci-fi Twilight Knight, but most of them are pretty easy to justify in a typical fantasy setting and I think people're way too worried that they'll look odd because their particular mini has a thong. I've had plenty of good discussions on the cartoon balloon tits of reaper bones stuff.
Though personally I'd avoided the Christmas or Halloween Twilight Knight. The former might look good painted green or brown and done up as some tree spirit though.
I think it only has consequences if your social circle is super uptight about sexuality.
My group of friends find it kind of funny that all the women are caked to death. And there are actual living grills in the circle.
That's the tastes of one Mr. Lokman Lam. It's also why all the pinups (and Satan / Beyond the wall, too) either have peeking sidenipples (sideareola?) or tiny triangular bikinis.
