So BMJ dropped some new stuff a few days ago, we should have had enough time by now to make slightly more informed opinions.
>But mediafire is shit.
GOT YOU, BRO.
I think some of the Stepping Stones could use some work, and ranged Branches could use a middle ground between the snipers and the sprayers without completely ignoring that you use guns.
Some guy who's been trying to run AdEva for ages but never makes it past the second session when he gets a group. People believe he does it on purpose so there's an effort to single him out every time he posts on gamefinder, so people don't get trolled by him.
It's annoying because no one can look for an AdEva game without running into him or the neighborhood watch.
Hey, what a co-inky-dink, I happen to be looking for a player and I have no idea who you are and who you're talking about. You free mondays? You fine with crazy settings?
I'm trying to make a game work with Evas flying in from the moon to fight dinosaurs and finding bigger things while using Norse mythology. We'll see how far we can stretch v3.4 to work with different settings. Got 3 other people and I'd really like to try and get at least one more.
>tfw you know you're the only person in your group that would give this game a try
I can do Mondays depending on the timezone. Even if not, I can probably carve a way with some coffee and effort.
How can I contact you? Skype? IRC? Gimme something, anything.
blue > red
You faggots don't know what a best girl is.
You've got mail, bluefag. Your lack of taste in women notwithstanding.
There are some areas that seem really unfinished and poorly organized, but I'm enjoying it. two sessions in to a new game, trying to find a late-comer 4th pilot to round out our ranks while we try to understand some things like skills with blank buy-ins.
OK, I kinda lied there.
Cat > Blue > MILF > Lesbian Doctor > Gendo > Red
I'm gonna Prog Knife in the shit outta something.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'm stealing this. Quick question. If I pick the targeting visor with Test Type, does that mean I don't get penalized for melee attacking the core?
> There are some areas that seem really unfinished and poorly organized
Tell me more.
In excruciating detail.
> If I pick the targeting visor with Test Type, does that mean I don't get penalized for melee attacking the core?
No, because it only interacts with enemy size bonuses. Tiny, Massive, etc.
You DO get the bonus even on melee attacks, but Called Shots against the Core (or any other part of the Angel) are getting their penalties from a different source/mechanic.
That said, if you made a called shot against the core of a Small Angel, you would ignore the Small penalty to hit and then resolve the Called Shot as normal.
>Power Armored Prototype effectively has up to 10 Strenght and Armor, plus shields and whatever else
>it has to die thrice before it can get the talent and become an immortal golden god
Mildly upset. I wanted to use my pluck and luck for other things, not just hoard DOOM
I'm not sure I like the mechanic of having to die repeatedly to get any benefit. Maybe if it was on a class like the Assault, where they *want* to take a lot of damage to activate Destroyer Mode, and they play a big risk vs reward game. But the Test Type seems more like a sturdy, stable sort of suit, but they have to intentionally get themselves shot in the head multiple times in order to get their biggest and best features.
Hey guys, looking for feedback on two things. First, I'm making a character sheet for my campaign because they're spoiled by D&D's customizable character sheets. I figured, hey, why not make a new official-looking character sheet for the system? Here's a first look. I spent way too much time on the character name and the rest looks kinda... there. I'm going to work on it more, I'm just looking to see if there's interest.
And second, the NERV logo for my campaign. It's Japanese mythology themed, and I thought of a cool little design for it. Just wanted to show it off!
That looks good. The other fields don't need to be as super fancy as the Name field is, though. Otherwise you will end up making the sheet look too busy and murder your printer.
All in all, I look forward to seeing the completed version.
What would you lot think of an 'empty core' Eva option? We know the soul is infinitely divisible, even if the results ain't perfect. So part of yours goes into the eva.
The moment your unit switches on you go a bit weird. Part of your soul flows into the eva and is restrained from being followed by the rest by arcane machinery; the power supply is not for movement but for those machines. No berserking. No weirdness. Probably some long term sanity damage.
At the five minute mark the Evangelion berserks, synch ratio climbs to ego damage zone. Require some fuckery to shut off. Eventually you end up the brand new soul of an eva. Suggestions?
>Investigating the Charon conspiracy.
It's actually hard to be against them.
I forget. Are Charon the ones who want to sacrifice a thousand thousand souls to make a heaven for the remaining spirits that dies with the universe, or are they the one that wants to make us all angels?
On the one hand, what they want to do will kill millions of innocent people.
On the other hand, if this works it is going to be to the benefit of literally everyone else left alive and all of the humans yet to be born.
Its morally ambiguous as shit, but I can totally understand why they would do it.
I always liked the little throwaway line about the members of Charon who are split on whether or not they should be part of the sacrifice themselves. Those guys who know what they are about to do, and offer up their own space in the afterlife they are going to create because of the cost of making it. Those are the ones you know are good people.
Yeah, they've scientifically observed that there is no afterlife (AT Field readouts means observation of the soul and whatnot) and on paper they've worked out that if they combine some Evangelion symbolic shenanigans with nuking Detroit or some other urban shithole, it'll make an afterlife.
Yeah, I remember what they want, just not their names. A bunch of souls make a lilith-style container and humanity gets to live inside after death.
The problem is that this is all horseshit, even by series canon. Souls flee back to Lilith to await rebirth. The reason there are so few births is because all the souls are presently in use, even after the Impact. Wether that's because a pile of them were destroyed in the quantum fuckery occuring or what is something I forget.
Eigenheart initiative got their way and had them stashed in a Dirac Sea.
And before anyone asks, I'd guess the Evas and Rei didn't get a soul because they were 'new' lilim life, rather than old ones with souls already tagged for them. Well, 01. The others were from Adam, obviously, and he can go fuck himself, or so Lilim says.
Where in the show did they ever say anything about the birthrate dropping off? That wouldnt even make sense, given that half of humanity died in the second impact, and I doubt we made up the difference and more in just 14 years.
His teacher mentions it "Fewer and fewer children born each year" - episode 17.
Ritsuko mentions it, either in the episode where she pours bleach in to the Rei tank, or the episode after. I can't remember right now.
Anno, the King Bastard himself, talks about the very small amount of children in the world. 15 years after a disaster, people would normally be squirting the little shits out for a solid 20 years, like post ww2. Childhood's end was also a huge influence on Evangelion, and that was a big part of CE.
True. There are a few possibilities with it
1) Souls do die, instead of circling through the room and the 'world soul' like in the Guf mysticism. No new ones come about because the tree doesn't really exist, and Lilith can't create more FAR pieces. The entire FAR plan was massively flawed.
2) Souls don't die, they do cycle, but Liltih can, with a bit of effort, create new souls if there are enough left. But she emptied the room in preparation for the Messiah, blah blah blah.
I know it's leddit, but this is an interesting write up.
Er, point of that link was that it illustrates what you said - everyone is remaining in stasis as long as Shinji is really fucked in the head.
Screw you, I just finished night shift.
SPLIT YOUR LUNGS WITH BLOOD AND THUNDER
WHEN YOU SEE THE WHITE WHALE
Fuck m8 I was not ready for that.
Meanwhile, this wasn't edited past translation.
If I had to replace Charon, I'd keep the theme roughly the same. Earn your happy ending. Souls do die, but over long periods - enough degredation and no intervention from 'God' - lilith - and they wink out.
Instead of the perfect stasis of Seele's 'public' plan, make it a changeable one. Everyone becomes a single perfect being when everyone is perfected. Everyone lives every life as perfectly as possible; sacrificial souls are forced down the tree of life in their place until everyone has ascended. You've got a thousand thousand perfect intangible souls coming into one being. Said being leaves the universe as Humanity incarnate, ready for whatever comes next.
Broskis. Let them drama over the waifu for a while.
>Enough of this fighting over her affections, we should be high-fiving over her back!
Post complicated world-ending SEELE plans!
My SEELE's plan to end the world is to arrange five Evangelions into a five-pointed star and have them kill each other by throwing Lances of Longinus into each other to create the star. Then, 108 N2 bombs will detonate themselves in a massive circle to create a vortex of energy that absorbs the cores of the Evangelions, creating a massive Anti-AT Field. The energy of the N2 bombs spreads it around the globe and bam, Instrumentality.
And my Gendo will hijack the plan by turning the five-pointed star into a six-pointed star, fucking up all the math and condensing rather than spreading the Anti-AT Field. In addition, the players will have the job of luring an Angel into the middle of the star, and when the bombs go off, it will Tang the players and the Angel and create an alien artifact. When touched, the artifact allows the user to ret-con the past to whatever she wants it to be. This, combined with the fact that my Gendo already created another artifact in another timeline that allows her to create time-loops that only those who have touched the stone remember (she's been through 3,247 of them personaly) will allow her to murder her husband over and over. My Gendo is a horrible, petty sadist who just wanted to murder her husband more than once, so she ends the world thousands of times just to condense time into a little ball so she can revive him. And pic related will be her face.
That...does not sound like something fun to play through.
I'm hoping you plan on having your players have SOME way of learning about this and disrupting it?
Also, time travel endings are THE WORST, seriously. Holy shit they are the worst why do people keep doing them.
Asspull Endings of all kinds suck balls. Time travel can be cool when used throughout the plot, though.
Yeah, I'll admit I sorta got hooked on the whole "creating a story" thing when I was writing it, but I have 2 weeks until the game, so I have plenty of time to revise. I see your point in that even if it leads into something cool, losing isn't fun if you can't do anything about it.
Yes, the players will be slowly learning about this conspiracy and how it could fuck up everything. At some point though, the players will come into contact with the alien artifact. Then, there are two ways things could go:
A) The players can't stop it: The ritual goes off, the Gendo gains superpowers and time loops. However, since the players touched the artifact, they know everything that happened and they bring all their knowledge and upgrades with them as they try to stop the Gendo from fucking up the world harder. And if they gain control of the artifacts, they can change the world for the better and undo all the terrible shit that's happened since Second Impact.
B) They fuck up the ritual: The bombs go off, the Evas kill themselves but all that happens is that a massive explosion devastates the area. The players and their Evas barely live, but the failure of the ritual exposes SEELE and the Gendo. Their trial reveals some shit that most of the nations of the world would rather be hidden, and in the aftermath war breaks out, leading to World War Evangelion. So now the players have to deal with both a World War and the encroachment of the Angels, who still haven't gone away. This, I feel, could also be fun.
I probably should have mentioned that the SEELE ritual is the 3/4 mark of the campaign as I've planned it so far. Does all that sound at least a bit better?
Pretty damned inevitable, too. All my teenage experience was with girls I worked with. Every girl I worked with. There's something about those neurochemicals on overdrive and spending a good chunk of the day with a person that turns them up.
DESU I'm not sure what else to do if this is apparently so awful. The only alternatives I can think of are either the show or World War Eva with Angels. I can't really run a sandbox because AdEva is inherently railroady, and if I try to ape the show the players will catch on instantly. At the same time, if I try to run World War Eva, what does that lead up to? What grand conspiracy lies behind that? I honestly don't know.
hey guys. lonelyfag here, I found some bro-tier friends to play with this, after I convinced them to watch it. however, they're still total chads, and say they would like an evangelion parodied off of black ops 2 "origin"s, in the 1920's. any tips to make this work?
Charon and Eingart are good ones to go with for WWE, SEELE can continue eating dicks in the tang ocean. I've been knocking around an idea for WWE where once victory becomes a matter of following through, the White Egg "hatches" and gribbly angels cover the goddamn moon in a scene straight out of Getter Robo Armageddon, then they start touching down all over the world.
Will the nations band together or fend for themselves? Do they resume hostilities after the greater threat is dealt with? Do they even cease hostilities in the first place?
I haven't decided yet, and won't until it comes up and I've felt out what the players like and/or want.
So how much Requisition do I start with anyway? However much my Eva gives me?
And when it says I start with Requisition, does that mean I start with the upgrade listed? Or are all the upgrades there considered "unpurchased" even though I start with some of them?
1920s? Play up the Lovecraft, and make him a staff member. Evas are gas-powered because cutting edge technology. Tesla is your research director and it's why you're starting with the Superconductive and Sonic technologies. Make some shit underwater because motherfucking R'lyeh.
i was thinking of that.
i had an idea of a meteor crashing(liliths moon), that had a metal inside that had new properties. it was versatile enought o make the evas, cause world war one. the metal also stores human souls, that charon secretly wants cause you know, afterlife.
hopefully chad enough.
Something I want to know if you can add BMJ:
At least one more ranged Branch. Right now the only Branches I can take (I think) as a ranged weapon user is Sidearm(to boost my Firearms/Sniper and maybe Wrath as a last resort in case I run out of ammo or lose a weapon.
Right now it feels like the vast majority of Branches are devoted to melee interactions or are specifically for engagement or 1 Sector situations. Can we see more ranged Branches that work specifically at 2-3 Sectors away? (and maybe make it have Combat Advance for Firearms pretty please?)
Your operators operating operationally take mostly defensive and support stuff with little dips into AT branches if you like that stuff.
Cover -> Ambush, Jammer ->Scrambler, Observer, Rabbit, and Spotter are doing me real good.
An idea I had was mirroring the SEELE shadiness of the series throughout the plot, for the pilots to get understandably nervous as the campaign builds to its climax.
They kill the last angel, but are kept on lockdown and alert nonetheless. They get ran through another medical and synch test. Alarms begin blaring. They run to the briefing room.
It's a surprise party, just for them. Honourable discharges, commendations, and assorted sweets all round! SEELE was actually just acting so shady as they wanted to keep the commander on their leash, to try and ensure their influence and existence remains as concealed as possible. Being a known illuminati is bad for business, and could cause unrest and loss of influence across the globe. So they need to keep the hotheaded NERV staff from giving away their game (whether intentionally or not), through covert, minimally disruptive, means.
>Switching the Neospartan on and thrusting them into a social situation.
What the fuck, man? Might as well wear a turban and trench coat with belts of delicious all-beef franks to a southern VA cookout and ULULULULULULU
...That is an oversight. I don't believe you're supposed to get that in the Trunk.
It's in every Branch it's available in, to answer your question.
Do I have to post the image, Anon? Look what you've made me do. No we all ahve to stare at Gendo.
And now that's there. Fuck it. I don't care anymore. Just change it yourself, I don't think your GM will care. You can go back to literally pulling weapons from your e-scale arse.
It's Skinnerbox-tier psychology, man.
>This is the auditory and visual stimulus we use to let the child soldier know she needs to be amped up and ready to kill.
>Let's use it to get her here for a startle-party!
Some unfortunate nigger's gonna get a bullet or the nearest pointy thing lodged in their face.
It's NERV. There's a pretty solid chance anyone she hits deserves a bullet or 16 lit candles in their eye jelly.
If I get Sidearm - Uncertain Storage, do I spend Requisition for the "Undisclosed Weapon" before the fight? Or do I do so when I declare what the weapon is? I'm assuming if the weapon costs more Requisition than I have at the start of the fight, I can't call that one, correct?
So...am I doing this right? Quick note: Our GM is deciding to start with 200 xp for a 4 Angel game. He's decreasing the xp we get for each fight accordingly.
Strength - 3
Toughness - 5
Armor - 4
Reflexes - 50
Eva Martial 74
Eva Firearms 63
Combat Advance (+3 Martial) [10xp]
Sidearm [20 xp]
Combat Advance (+3 Martial) [20xp]
Streetfighter (Quick Attack, Deft) [40xp]
Improved Draw (Uncertain Storage) [10p]
Construction - Sleek (+10 Reflexes)
Cosmetic - Blindsight
Wing Loadout (Storage) [Starting]
Requisition x2 [Starting]
Wing Loadout (Storage) [10xp]
Optimized Evasion [20xp]
Hit and Run [40xp]
Wing Loadout (???)
No. they didn't.
>mfw last time I was GM I had a Misato Expy tagging along as the 'taking care of bullshit, driving the cart' sort of character they were all very attached to, mostly because she was a shallow sort of person who couldn't connect and just acted inappropriately.
She wasn't real. All a figment of their imagination because they picked a fight with a big spirit early on in the game and went a little mad.
Oh, sorry. I saw production type but my accursed brain didn't come up with what that means. You need one more Requisition to actually use it both wings that way, or change that second Progressive Knife to a different piece of starting equipment.
He doesn't need to pay for that. He just needs to make a choice.
> Choose one Wing of the Evangelion (left or right). Nerv installs a special container in that wing which can hold a spare load of ammo for any ranged weapon, or a single weapon with the Small property. What the Storage container holds is chosen at the start of the battle, when Requisition is initially spent for the fight, but anything held within the Storage container when the Eva is deployed costs no resources or Requisition beyond this Wing Loadout upgrade.
tldr: knives and pistols in your wings at the start of the fight are fucking FREE. Uncertain Storage takes this even further and lets you decide what that free weapon is when you reach for it instead of when you start the fight.
Hey guys, here's the first page of the character sheet I've been working on. So far, my plan is to divide the stats into three - a character page, an Eva page, and an Advancement page. When I've got all three, I'm going to upload an editable PDF of the sheet to both here and Reddit so people can get it. Feedback and critique welcome!
Fucking sweet. So I can use Uncertain Storage to cheat Req costs for small weapons?
Oh thank GOD. I desperately needed this. Layout looks awesome. Nice work dude!.
Does anyone else have any other comments on my build here >>43493561?
That actually IS how it's intended - it's the main benefit of pistols and knives over larger onehanded weapons. You can start with one free in your wing dock, no req required, instead of extra ammo or whatever. They've got a cost in case you want MORE of them for whatever reason.
Otherwise you'd usually be better off just getting a bigger weapon and ignoring your wing docks entirely/using them for ammo.
>36 starting Emp
>Fetching and Extrovert assets for a +20 bonus to Speech against the opposite gender, +10 otherwise
>Buy Empathy Advance and Speech Group Advance with starting cultural enrichment
>Result is a starting 80XP/5E character with up to 66 to Charm/Persuade/Sway, and that's before Skill Training/Mastery/etc.
time to politidick
How else would you interpret it? "but anything held within the Storage container when the Eva is deployed costs no resources or Requisition beyond this Wing Loadout upgrade." seems pretty unambiguous.
Very nice! My one suggestion is that, given how Restricted Skills work now, it might just be easier to axe that section and extend the Skill Groups list, giving the user more room to write in their specializations.
That, and it should be Strain Threshold, not Stress Threshold.
Maybe Luck could use a '/' in its box as well, since the amount of Luck you can have at any given time has a cap?
Also: There should probably be a place to record Injury. Maybe in the same box as Fatigue, given their heavy mechanical overlap?
Also, a couple other questions:
Zweihander Crash attacks have your Eva not use its strength bonus, and perform a special move instead. If you use Crash with a Chain weapon, does that mean you can't count its strength bonus as your hit effect roll? If you use Crash with an assault eva that counts its strength bonus twice when damaged, does using Crash cost both strength boosts, or just one of them?
> Can we see more ranged Branches that work specifically at 2-3 Sectors away?
Well, that depends on what you want it to do. Every Branch needs to have a purpose, otherwise you are just adding bonuses because you can, which is how bad things happen to balance.
> Speaking of...why does it say the minimum Firearms for Sniper is 45 when the lowest Eva model has 50? An accidental holdover?
Yes, that's an oversight.
You can get Intermediary Manipulation in the trunk, but only in High-AT (|||) games. The fact that the talent description is not provided there is a mistake, though.
As >>43495674 says, the contents of your Storage wing are free. That remains true regardless of when you reveal what is in there, be it at the start of battle normally or later with Uncertain Storage. This is so that weapons like pistols and knives (which are primarily backup/side weapons) do not need to directly compete with the 'main' weapons of the system (Pallets Guns, Postrion Cannons, etc) in terms of weapons profile. The advantage of them is that they are free and easy to carry, not sucking up Req that could be spent on other things.
This only applies to Wing Loadout(Storage) specifically, though. Assault Mounts, which can carry larger weapons, still need to pay Req for their contents.
> So BMJ, what are the rules for a 2-handed chain sword?
None are provided. If you want to describe your axe as a sword instead you can, but that's on you and your GM.
I can, but I won't.
> If you use Crash with a Chain weapon, does that mean you can't count its strength bonus as your hit effect roll?
No, because Chain only forgoes your Strength to Damage rolls. It doesn't otherwise modify your Strength or set it to 0, so Crash effects work fine.
In terms of the Unshackled Upgrade, the extra +Strength to damage/soft damage doesn't affect things that run off of the Eva's Strength (though will modify part of Crashes that do Soft Damage as part of their effect), but the later bonus of +1 Eva Strength will affect Crashes as you would expect.
Long story short: if it only affects the damage done, that doesn't reflect on the strength score of the Eva. Only if it specifically says it modifies the Strength of the Eva.
Chain weapons only get their Hit Effect bonus on a Glancing Hit. Chain weapons WANT to Glance.
>that feel when there's only one other person who would realistically give this game a shot without some persuasion
>even then, they would make you the GM because you are the only one who knows enough about Eva to make it fun
Misato strikes me as the type of woman 4chan users would
make eat all the eggs
BMJ I got no serious answers earlier. Do you have any advice for running a 2 pilot game? Should I increase XP or something, or are there any design notes you think I should be aware of?
The game really isn't designed for only 2 pilots, so I'm not sure how much advice I can give there. You will need your Evas to pick up the slack, obviously. So I suppose extra xp and making sure your Angels are significantly weaker than normal are both steps in the right direction.
If you want to use stronger Angel attacks, maybe increase the Infrequent ration on those attacks so it has a longer cooldown between using those abilities again?
>Interested in a setting
>"Why won't someone else run it so I can play it? What jerks"
Err, how exactly are we supposed to deorbit after we kill a space-based Eva if we don't have enough fuel? Also, are there parachutes/heat shields and what not built into the E-type equipment? Do we take fall damage when we land back on Earth
They overpressurize the LCL to knock you out and keep you unconscious but alive with an intravenous cocktail of drugs and vitamin-enriched saline.
Then they organize a rescue mission because that robot is expensive and important, they'll deorbit you with a tug-drone.
Well, my hangover burger.
Thin slice of pepperjack cheese
Two slices bacon, jalapeno slices
Cheese (as above)
Party (Half ground round, half hot sausage)
>And this is why people who identify as "players" are useless stains on the hobby
And what is why?
>What they really mean is "I don't want to put any effort into the game. Entertain me."
There's a lot of pressure involved in GMing, man. Every second you're doing it feels like inspection day, where several extremely critical people are examining your shit under a magnifying glass, and you're constantly worrying they'll find something you forgot or didn't think of.
That's why finding a decent gaming group is so hard. You need to find at least 1 person who actually enjoys that, combined with 3-5 people who a) aren't too offensive in manner or odor, and b) can show up on time.
"Hello. I found you on the street and took you home. Burger?"
Jesus CHRIST, anon.
So - more doomsday scenarios. What else could there be?
Seele: Humanity dies, the 7 enter Eva 01 as God.
Instrumentality: Everyone becomes a non-physical soul-form forever more.
Eigenhart: Everyone becomes a baby angel.
Societas Eruditorum: Shit goes on as normal until some idiot causes an apocalypse because science.
Charon: We sacrifice a pile of souls for no reason to create an afterlife that didn't need to exist (My bias and previous posts are showing, whatever).
Adam: Recreates an angelic world.
Lilith: Recreates whatever she was supposed to make, probably a neutered FAR species.
What else? All I can think of is some sort of divine egg scenario, where whatever it is spins the universe into some gigantic solipsistic construct and then leaves it because the AT field is wonky as all get out.
Oh. And, of course, that plot coupon 'Shall we dance', if an Angel turns up, joins in and serves all of mankind so hard that it rejoins its progenitor with the power of its moves.
So I'm new to AdEva and I've been checking out every version and archived thread over the past few days and I stumbled across your rpg.net posts.
Can I just say that holy shit those guys just don't get what the hell the game is about? Half the posts are what THEY would do if they made an Eva game and demanding you should change it to what they want and the other half is shameless plugging for their own games and/or other systems. I am now utterly convinced that that one shitposter whow complains every other thread is one of those guys.
I just wanted to say keep up the good work, we're looking forward to our first game and future drafts. What's the best way we can contact you?
RPG.net did turn out to be less useful than I had hoped it would be, but I do recall that some of their comments got the ball rolling on a couple of the changes that made it into the most recent draft.
As for ways to contact me, the two best are either an email to email@example.com (though I will admit, I go weeks between checking it since it isn't super active) or dropping by the #AdeptusEvangelion IRC on Rizon.net. Even if I personally am not on Rizon at the time, the channel is active enough that someone else can usually get your message to me.
Its the US. How else are we supposed to keep drunk people off the streets?
Why do you think, in American movies, every time they meet some mysterious person who passes out they taken them home? Obviously its a movie, so those people turn out to be plot important, but that's just what you are supposed to do. Usually all you get is a thank you, maybe a couple of bucks for your trouble.
Otherwise someone could take their money or shoot them with guns.
Oh, I thought we were working under the assumption that it was some roommate situation. No, no one picks drunks up off the street, you could be charged with kidnapping even if your intentions were good. Plus if she got laid earlier (likely) you're taken into custody until the DNA results from the rape kit come back.
Example - it's apparently possible to read the Wing Storage thing as being a refund rather than getting it for free, that you have to pay for it first THEN get the req back afterwards. Maybe make it more clear that it's just free, period?
We desperately need some OD stuff.
That can come when everything else is finished first. Right now we just give our OD control over the NERV Resource actions and assign them their own Stamina to spend on said actions. Other than that they do typical OD stuff in the off-time between angel fights.
Generally I fucking leave them alone. That's what the cops are for. Turf them somewhere and drop them off, either in the cells or their house.
This is because I am not an incredible autist who things people will trust complete strangers who try to jam randoms into their car when they're drunk and smeared in vomit. Alf stewart would fucking approve of you.
..so, on that note, anyone else got some decent eva art (04 is best eva)?
So some extra XP, make sure that nobody is pigeonholed, and err on the easier side? Thank ye.
I suppose I could also try to heavily imply some kind of horrible sexual tension.
>Eva still berserks
>Brutal sodomy of other evangelion
>Evas now caged opposite each other, berserker routinely breaks loose to make thrusting motions
I'll just say the rocket that launched the players into orbit had a smaller rocket/heatshield with a stored parachute the Evas could use to safely deorbit once the Angel is dead/they're out of fuel.
So basically one of the players holds/stays near it. And they retrieve it to go home afterward. If its destroyed (presumably because someone uses the heatshield as an actual shield because it DOES provide cover) or they lose it, they're forced to find another way to deorbit and they'll take the fall from orbit damage as well.
You're probably better off making your own Angels if you have only 2 people. That way you can control the Difficulty Rating and make sure it doesn't wreck the players immediately. If not, like BMJ says its probably better to increase XP and lower Angel stats where necessary.
If deorbiting could destroy an Evangelion they'd be useless in their designed role of killing things that consider deorbiting to be standard operating procedure.
I'm not necessarily worried about the Evangelions being destroyed as I am the pilots themselves not surviving the fall. 2d6+5 KN damage to the Eva (after an already bad battle), 2 potential Injuries and 3 Strain.
So, on talents that involve one/two-handed weapons, how does it interact with the rule that lets Evas with Strenght 5+ monkey grip? Will Flourish work with, say, the Magorok, since I'm strong enough to use it as a one-handed weapon? Can I use Crash if I'm holding my greatsword with one hand?
Also, where is the superconductive knife?
There's a couple other nitpicks I've got, but I can't really remember any other that aren't extensive typo reports BMJ probably got already.
Lilith is hidden under the pyramids.
One Angel resembles a Sphinx (like the Astrosphinx or something) and 'riddles' pilots by creating illusions and screwing with their senses.
Outside of fights, the Evas are kept in giant sarcophogai. These coffins are launched with them (and burst open) when they are sent to the surface.
Play Walk Like an Egyptian at least once.
Well, I was considering not having Lilith and Adam at all and replacing them with something suitable but not quite related in Egyptian mythos, I don't want to do an EXACT clone of the show.
You could probably steal pretty hard from the oWoD and nWoD mummy books, too.
And one angel works perfectly! Best girl is a fucking master of stealth.
