> According to the reviewer, this have a better paint application than the "collectors" edition
What? Really? I saw the pics and all but since I am not interested in WW so I didn't pay any attention to the text. >The thick eyebrows, small lips, and flat eyes are a creation of poor paint application, not sculpting. It's funny because the actual paint application on the Movie figure is better - the eyes are cleaner, the eyebrows less obtrusive, and the lips fully painted

>>5391487 Not surprising since that poster says they only made 500 of the things. This Dynamite Action line is already really expensive by default, I can't imagine what the aftermarket prices on this guy are gonna be.
>>5389525 What do you guys think of Combiner Wars, how do you rate it as a line? To be honest it might be my favorite since ROTF, they took one of the fandom's (and my personal) favorite gimmicks and gave it new life in a wonderful fashion. True, there was a lot of mold reuse, but I thought most of them were solid figures.
I built this with a friend today. Verniers on top of the head would pop off if breathed on. The blades can't fold down very well because the CAS parts on the shoulders and haunches stick in the way. Head can't tilt or turn for shit because of all the collision with the rest of the CAS. And the thing holding the core falls out, has no anchoring or way to hold it inside at all.
>>5389045 use superglue to tighten the verniers, and it's not an action figure, you might have to move stuff around to pose it right, and the part on the chin can hold the core in pretty well on all 4 armors.
>>5389045 I've got all four liger zeros and the hmm blade liger bang ver. The blade liger is by far the worst build but I've never had anything just fly off them. You have to bare in mind though that when your making a kit for a line like zoids you have little free reign to alter the designs to accommodate articulation. It's a no win situation either the designs aren't anime accurate or they limit their articulation a bit. Can't say I've had any issues with their staple poses though.

With the first release bonus Saga might be worth it. And Seiya is at a fair enough price. That said, this line, though cool in concept, may not have the needed legs. The figures are fairly basic, though well done, especially for only 10cm. But then when you can get shodo vs or shodo neo figures at under 10 dollars each then suddenly these seem a little oddly priced. Not to mention the commitment bandai has to make. All 12 gold saints plus the 5 bronze is 17 releases. Then if they use exclusives suddenly they're hindering people from building larger constructs with the pieces...... Comment too long. >>5389814 Actually, HLJ's opened up their orders, but Gemini doesn't even mention the first order bonus. I'm hesitant to order from them, given that they've had issues with first order bonuses in the past.
>>5388585 They're a couple of years old at this point, and I think they only sold them at coventions in japan since they're fanmade kits.
The company that makes them has started making proper figures via the polynian line, but considering their parody nature I don't know that they could get away with issuing them in a regular release format.
So I just received a NECA Tyrael in the mail. I have had a suspicion that it could be a bootleg, though I am not sure.
The card in the packaging looked like it could have been printed on a cheap printer because the text was slightly fuzzy. Also, when I took the figure out, it smelled very strongly, which I have heard is a sign that a figure could be a bootleg.
What I am wondering is, has anyone else had these issues with theirs, or is there a good chance that this could be a bootleg?
>>5388451 Have you previously opened a clamshelled NECA figure? It usually does smell pretty strongly so it isn't too surprising if you've never smelled one before. As for the text it's been a while since I opened wave 1 so I couldn't tell you. And maybe wave 2 changed. There shouldn't be bootlegs though. At least not yet.
>>5388478 I'd be very surprised if there were bootlegs of this figure out already. Weird smells are not uncommon with action figures.
He's a pretty neat figure, but his elbow articulation really could have been better. I'm trying to figure out a way to mod it to allow a little more movement, but fuck if that armor doesn't make it difficult.
