Hey /toy/! I'm starting to collect Queen's Blade figures, Cattleya is my favorite I just started collecting around September 2015 what do you think of what I have so far? Also new collectors should post their collections here too. Also I collect Free! Iwatobi Swim club figures, however I have my current ones in storage if you'd like to see what I have let me know :)
I did /toy/... I bought my first lewd toy.
Also, lewd thread while I unpackage, with great shame.
I really wanna get a Yo-Kai Watch and I'm curious, is there any major difference between the American release and the Japanese DX version? Looks like the American one comes with a Whisper Medal instead of Dismerelda, but other than that, they look exactly the same. And I assume any sound effects/names are American and not Japanese (Obviously)
The American watch doesn't have the flashlight that the Japanese one has (although it still makes the sound when you hold the button down), has no hinges for the wristband, and is hella loud. It also doesn't accept Japanese medals since the tracks are left-aligned. Other than that, though, it's a pretty good toy if you want a watch with the American names/music or just don't care either way. It's worth it for the price that it's at.
!!! He is SO fucking badass !!!
Exceeded my expectations
Im glad people talked him down because im impressed with him
Now I really cant wait for my Big Boss!
Are you my phantom?! Am i yours?? Yeah man im so looking forward to the jungle fatigue big boss
lets have a xmas haul tread
Hey there toy. I'm new around here and was wondering whats the best way to buy overseas. The amiami Kirby nendoroid in particular has my attention, but according to some sites just this alone can cost 2,080¥ for SAL.

Toy's usual go-to stores
AmiAmi - Good discounts, standard shipping
Hobby Link Japan - Okay discounts, better shipping options, ability to cancel orders
Toy Otaku Mode - free shipping offers? good reward system?? i dunno people like TOM
Mandarake - great for used items
For Kirby, I'd suggest AmiAmi or HLJ. EMS shipping is what you'll most likely want for tracking, insurance, and the item to arrive in a timely manner. EMS should run you anywhere from 1500 - 2000 yen. That seems high for shipping, yes, but it comes with the territory. Get used to it.
Okay, I have 40 bucks to drop... Which Captain America should I go for? Classic 'murica or Modern 'murica?
10 being very likely
what are the chances that white jacket is removable?
minus the sleeves of course, jackass.
You can remove anything if you pull hard enough
Also if 10 is only "very likely" what the hell is a 5.
And for that matter where does "for certain" fit in, 20? You need to re-evaluate your scale system
you need to shut the hell up before you trigger me beyond relief
im going to go outside and check some privileges
but when i get back
you better have apologized for your incorrect discretion used at me
i probably just bought this
Hey guys, how is it going? Well, is there another shop to buy the SH Figuarts set of Super Mario? I cant find for reasonable prices like amiami. Im looking for the Bowser and the Set E. Pic Related!
Post yfw you accidentally drop or knock over an expensive figure
I'm really new to this subject, and am looking for some opinions
Where should i start looking for figurines, figma, dolls... im not even sure what term to use.
I want some anime merch to put inside my PC case, and im looking to stay away from the pose able kind. Do they have a specific name?
TL;DR where to buy pretty things? pic related
The best place to look would be amiami.com, but I'm afraid that statues/non-poseable figures aren't actually allowed to be discussed here.
Gashapon and collectables like that are fine, however.
Why statues in particular, OP?
Wish I bought:
Why haven't any of the Ray Harryhausen monsters ever been made into SA figures like Monster Arts, Revoltech, hell even NECA? License problems? Are there even figures out there?
>Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
I think the Revoltech Skeleton Army is the only modern example, but there's been unarticulated figures by X-Plus and Gentle Giant in the past. Also the Clash of the Titans movie line by Mattel. I agree with you though, we need some S.H.MonsterArts or something.
Is there a definitive Mazinger figure?
There are so many out there I don't know which one to choose.
They all have their pros and cons, none of them is at the top on every level.
The DX SOC ones are awesome display pieces but absolutely not meant to be played with. The (later) SOC ones are good too, some even have a transformation gimmick, but their playability/proportions aren't exactly perfect. Then you have the SRC, no transformation but really good proportions and accuracy and of course, the best poseability out of the three lines.
IIRC, all 3 designs are available in SRC and SOC but only Z...
