Hey /toy/, what Mortal Kombat figures exist out there? They don't necessarily have to be good (I'm willing to kitbash stuff). I only know of Mezco's and Jazware's lines, and even then, I barely know anything about either line.
Which characters have representations as figures, and if so, what line are they from? I've been itching for figures of Reptile, Johnny Cage, and Sektor.
honestly there are no good MK figures out there. the ones they sell at TRU are trash. some brand is making MK and SF figures. /toy/ had a couple of threads about them. so just wait on them when they release. anybody know the name of that brand?
A newbie collector /b/ro here. I have bought this little guy a year ago, it is packed and the store said that is a limited edition of 1000 units only. Do you believe this little fag will worth some money in the future, or should I give it to my little brother to play with it?
Anyone looking to getting this crazy mofo? I've stayed away from PAKs, due to most being overdesigned for my tastes, but Sephiroth's design is simple enough to not look strange in toy form. Anything to note in general about PAKs?
I need help finding a series of figures to collect (scale doesn't matter). I'm looking for stuff that falls in line with anything space-themed, like alien life, that includes males and female figs but I would be willing to accept robots if it comes down to it.
Relatively obscure lines are are my last option because I spent the past week browsing the most popular ones, (Transformers, Figma, Soul of Chogokin, etc.) and nothing caught my attention. My budget is around 150$ if that matters.
>>5865318 do you mean collect as in to complete a collection like some kind of ocd obsession? if its not that then why not just pick the characters you like from different lines, no need to collect a specific line.
I personally adore the supernatural andscience fictrion and generally anything masked/ cool looking. I hope these Japanese folklore monsters get made into figures oneday but in the mean time there is plenty of great looking video game characters being made by Japanese manufacturers.

Where to buy >GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop >Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging >Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available >Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest >Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ >eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version' >http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here >Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

Never bought a 3A figure before. Are they pretty solid or fragile hipster trash? I want to be able to change up the poses and fiddle with it and not just put it in 1 pose and leave it on a shelf forever.
With the Japanese market being what it is now with the yen influx, I wonder if Bandai is thinking of targeting the western market more and more. That makes two SoC releases in the last month debuting at American conventions, both of which have more relevance in the west than the east.
Personally I'm ecstatic. I ahve a few SoCs(Gaogaigar, Gunbuster, Big O), and I love them but I'm not much of a fan of 70's/80's super robots. I'm happy to see them doing more like this.
I just started on Marvel Legends and was wondering if anybody physically shops? I'm a college sophomore and feel awkward as fuck strolling down the toy aisle, but I'm looking for Rogue without paying overpriced eBay fees. I bought a few online but went to Walmart at 6 AM and bought Scarlet Witch in the self-checkout.

Added a few things here. I swapped out the shitty Walmart exclusive Miles with the new ML. Also got Ultimate Pete as well. I added Carmine Infantino Robin to my Batman Black and White collection. I've got Damian by Frank Quietly on pre-order. He'll look great with DickBats.
>>5838487 Shiiiiiit. I would be if I could afford the damn thing. $300 for a 7" tall figure is just too rich for my blood, even if it IS a beautiful figure with great engineering.
I mean, at first we could say, "Sentinel is a new and small company, that's why their prices are high!" But now they're growing bigger and bigger and getting increasingly more high-profile licenses. I think at this point they simply refuse to back down from the price points they've set for themselves, and in fact... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
For sculpting on figures: use 2-part epoxy putty like Aves apoxie or fixit.
For tools: try a basic carving/sculpting set like the kind arts & crafts stores have, and calipers for symmetry. Dental tools have also been said to work well. Also, using a Dremel is recommended. Minimites (the small $20-25 ones) are fine for starting out, but the battery life is poor. Upgrade to a corded one only if you want to get deeper into customizing. They are useful for... About to do my first custom. It'll be a bulkier black panther. I'm not sure about including reaper's cape but I'll be using the tiger shark body. I'll put on my BP head once it arrives in the parcel. Any tips for a first time customized?
What are the Eaglemoss Official Starship Collection models like? They tend to retail for about $20 USD, which seems a little steep for a small model and a booklet unless the model is totally die cast or something.
They are the best models you'll ever see at this price/size. I've collected Furuta's, MM's, and NECA's, and they're all cheapshit compared to Eaglemoss's.
The paint and detail is exact and they keep the diecast to the minimum because of that. You can notice where the diecast and plastic meet though, as the paint is a bit too thick over the detail, making the sculpt appear too mushy compared to the plastic parts. Still, that detail and paint is finer than you see on other minis. Did i mention they're almost twice as big as... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
