I'm sure people do, but I don't imagine that there are many real standout designs or lines besides the ones from Sanrio or Alpacasso, so discussion for them is probably limited to just talking about what kinds you had as kids or such.

Clearly you only have knowledge on weeb stuff, but there are plenty of amazing plushes that are not geared solely towards children. Hansa makes amazingly realistic and detailed plushes, they also make a lot of unconventional animals, like aye-ayes, vultures, genets, herons, frilled lizards, and pic related (I really want this guy.)

Steiff also makes high grade plush, though they're definitely collector driven. They're expensive, but extremely well made with a huge variety of animals.

Will we be able to preorder is the bigger question. If they just block it from the beginning, we might be screwed, but if they list it for a short period of time like they did with Deadpool, we'll have our window.

Toku thread not so much, as it'd be mainly the Ultrafags that would buy them, and they'd rather post in kaiju general overall.

For the most part, there's not many sofubi collectors in general. Probably because the prices on many of them are steep as fuck

Compare the art from the old Bionicle to the newly cancelled one you can see why it got cancelled.

Old ones had some great art and some good surrealism, (floating islands in the sky ect)
while had a very good music score to set the mood of the series.
(Then later music from a couple bands and later Croshell)

I might need to look at it more indepth, but from what I can tell it seems to be pretty much the same mold. Except the thigh joints are a bit different. That pic doesn't show them right, they actually have pins for the outward motion rather than a ball joint. If you look close you can see the difference in pic related. The joint difference doesn't really do much though as they seem to have the same amount of outward spread as the old one.

Honestly, I'm a tad disappointed. I was really hoping this...

they are worth it, but the joints are designed to pop off, some can be loose at first, but just be careful when moving, as the forces required to swivel the joints tends to be greater than the force to pop the ball sockets off.

as a side effect, you can make some freakier-than-the-mangle monstrosities from it,

springtrap is nice, but slightly less posable due the the shoulder covers being attached to the torso rather than a part of the shoulder, it's more accurate, but not so great for posing.

753 KB,
What are the best tools to add some shading to your figures? I want to do some shading on my Piccolo to hide the cheap plastic look it has compared to the newer SH. Figuarts.

Airbrush. Either pay somebody or buy your own.

Alternatively, get really good at handbrushing.

you're better off leaving it alone, but mixing some acrylic paint of a darker tone and wiping it on and then off would work.

I don't wanna buy too expensive stuff just for one figure. I'm good at painting with brushes but don't know what kinda paint to use.

I've got him preordered. I kinda like smaller figures, so he's right up my alley.

Not sure how I feel about Benkei and Musashi not being articulated though.

Yeah, it would have been cool to have a full getter team of articulated figures. I'm into things like figmas and figuarts too, but he's even smaller than them. I don't understand why they'd put them in a 4 inch line of all things.

It is sort of an odd choice, but I think it kinda works with the proportions. Either that or the usual Revoltech size.
