here are my favorites. The alpacas and the axolotl were plushes I bought myself, rest were gifts. Except the lapel pin on Garfield, I bought that but put it on him. Ever since I bought the axolotl (my third fav animal) I've been thinking of getting my other favorite animals. I'm looking for cute manatee and platypus plushies. I have a manatee plush but it's pretty dang small.
I'm looking for this toy series of mini robots, they are small but I don't know just how small. They resemble those old Medabots figures, but they have more joints and have more translucent parts. Anyone know?
>>5835100 Knowing Hasbro they'll never cash in on such a genius opportunity. Makes me sad.
>>5835101 Shit, really? That sucks. If there was a way we could see who the Titanmaster operating Fort Max was that'd be fucking amazing. >>5835104 >mini headmaster megatron that turns into a head for megatron Pottery
>>5834511 This is you, and you're wrong. Always wrong. /pol/ is never right. You're called /pol/ because you smoke pole. Also, Brian Golder, the CEO of Hasbro, is a Jew, so good goyim for buying their toys.
>watching some used toys >several days left >bid war >minimum bid now higher than what they cost new why do retards do this? disregarding the whole "above the price of new" thing, why do people think bidding early does anything other than make them pay more or not get the item?
Because it's less the cost, and more making sure the other guy doesn't get it. But I don't bother to bid unless it's 1 minute left and cheap, or if it's the only one on eBay. I go for BIN 99.9% of the time.
>>5833632 >why do retards do this? Probably the same reason you keep making these threads about bidding too soon on ebay: pure mental retardation. :^) Seriously though, we get it, it bothers you. Stop making threads about it already.
>>5833632 >>5833632 OP, just buy ebay and modify their policies. Simple. Complaining does nothing, and we hate to see you complain. So just do it, purchase ebay and make it how you want. Be the change you want to see.
It seems like the only toys that survive in retail now are tie-ins to existing franchises, or at least have some media support. Hollywood keeps churning out movie after movie, yet the toy sales don't seem to be getting any better. and then these movie toys end up lingering for ages after words.
And its pretty obvious why; they've over-saturated the market. Parents aren't going to buy that Civil War Iron Man hen their kid still has one from Avengers or Iron Man 3. Or why buy that new movie Superman when Man of steel toys are still rotting on closeout stores. Hell there's even some Dark Knight Rises toys around here, too. We're soon to be on our 5th liveaction Transformers movie, coming out 10 years after the first. Any kid born between those years might just have an older relative that could just pass on all their old Transformers toys to. To say nothing of thrift shops and the like.
Its not just in retail markets, either, even collector's toys are dealing with this. There's 4 or 5 different companies doing 1:6 scale batman v superman and Suicide squad figures. SS isn't even out yet, but everyone's making a Harley and Joker figure. And then you have sequels, where yet another, similar designed figure is released a year or two later. Hell, Hot toys BvS Batman isn't out yet, and there's already a Suicide Squad version, and an inevitable Justice League version. Hot toys was releasing Avengers AoU toys even after CA3 came out. It just seems like a perfect way to cannibalize your own sales.
So what of this? Well, retail stuff will probbaly compress their movie stuff to the smallest amount; but ultimately they're still producing a glut of Iron Man, Batman, Optimus, etc. Meanwhile, collector's stuff just explodes with more and more companies doing their take. So how does this end up?
>>5825258 You are taking the misconception that "market is flooded" means "there are no sales" Normally what floods the market means it's selling well Also for every kid that got their iron man mask during iron man 3 there are just as many kids that get old enough to want that mask when civil war hits You also have factors of cost and profit Those mask cost about 10.00 wholesale for a case of 10 so when one sells the case broke even and two sell you made a profit so say only 3 masks sell... >>5825258 1.Money gets tighter people are less risky with there money 2. Toys of all markets have to compete with Video games, and the pricey tech that plays on them 3.humans have cult of personality issues even with entertainment goods and wish to worship the idols by buying the fetish totems of them 4. The corporate end of the bussines is no far to self aware of what makes profits and what dosn't risk taking is no longer encouraged like it was 30+ years ago. Those 4 factors are why the market has become what it is
>>5801188 >>favorite figure Medieval Spawn >>did anyone actually play with these? When I was a 'tween, yeah. >>fond memories if so When the first series came out, I was blown away by the size of the figures and the detail. Didn't really get into the later ones that were just semi-poseable statues, but OP pic and 10th Anniversary Spawn were must-buys. I also remember being really happy that they came with... >>5801188 I still have the complete first series MIB from when I was a kid. Medieval Spawn, Overt-Kill and Angela were my favorites. I got the variant mail-in Red Bendy Violator, but Malebolgia never came to my town.
For sculpting on figures: use 2-part epoxy putty like Aves apoxie or fixit.
For tools: try a basic carving/sculpting set like the kind arts & crafts stores have, and calipers for symmetry. Dental tools have also been said to work well. Also, using a Dremel is recommended. Minimites (the small $20-25 ones) are fine for starting out, but the battery life is poor. Upgrade to a corded one only if you want to get deeper into customizing. They are useful for... >>5787810 >If you have special needs I can point you in some more specif putties. It'd be pointless since my country recently stopped getting hardware epoxy for some reason. I think I can find some of the hobby specialized ones but I don't want to spend too much right now, I'm trying to work on a budget because I might be getting more equipment soon and I want to save for it. Dremels don't go under 50 dollarideedoos here.

>>5833344 how are you trying to open it? if you're pulling outward from the middle then you're doing it wrong (pulling the edges away from the middle). if you're SLIDING the edges away from each other then it should open.

***GM Group Build*** Rules: Pick an HG GM, and paint and customize it. For it to count as a GM, it literally just has to have GM in the name of the MS on the box, otherwise, no, it doesn't count. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit. To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a GM Custom and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>5831953 Buy designs you like, but keep in mind MGs, IBO 1/100s, RGs, and PGs all have an internal skeleton, which is different from most HGs. The older a kit is, the more likely it is to have engineering problems.
If I were you I'd stick with HGs or SDs for practice, then tackle a MG once you're sure of what you're doing. But that's just me.
