Well, they've had Marvel Legends exclusives in the past that they've sold on their websites as well as in the stores. They usually get entire boxes of JUST the one figure so they're readily available.

Yes.

But funny enough the only things I want besides the rest of the beast deluxes are the masters after everything that's been shown. I didn't think I'd care about them but the upcoming ones look like awesome desk toys.

Oh and tryp looks cool so far. Just hope the articulation is decent.

Just get Lego technic.
>>
>>5826775
No lego please, i would prefer wood so i can modify the parts myself
>>
>>5826781
Oh I see, can't help much then. AFAIK I don't know of any toy lines with wooden parts, but Mechano is perfectly valid if you want to use metals.

Not trying to seem insulting, but why do you play with/collect toys? I don't really see the reason if you work towards becoming an artist. I guess it does feel kinda nice to make action figures fuck and can make roleplaying easier, but is there other stuff I'm missing? Because enough literature/art skills seem to make toys pointless to me.

It'll probably be worth it if you're a big Iron Man fan and don't own the old plastic versions.

diecast is shit.
Horrible material that doesn't hold paint unless it's gloppy as fuck and even then it can and does chip off.
So it looks very dull, as in the paint is always overly thick looking and doesn't carry fine details. Which is why various companies use plastic on parts that are supposed to have fine details.

The only reason companies use diecast at all, is not only because it's cheaper to do than plastic, but because most consumers equate expensive with heavy. Thus, a lot of suckers will pay a premium for heavy shit.

Kinda a shame, Chicagofag here. I've been there a few times and its a kinda cool shop even if not my thing. I've spent maybe like $20-30 there at most since as you said, it mostly is "artsy" vinyl toys. They always have a art gallery, I remember being there in October one year and they had some cool Halloween illustration.

I used to live near this shop. Its in an area with outrageous rent and everything in it is 3A and overpriced hipster vinyl stuff. And plush rabbits with mustaches.

It as a nice artsy shop but I was always amazed it managed to stay in business- obviously it wasn't.

Transmetals seems like a good route for 3Psto tackle. The later bW stuff doesn't get much love in Japan, yet the mechanical detailing in the beast modes(and the lack of emphasis the show put on the organic bis in robot mode) probably gives it a good crossover audience with G1 style loving traditionalists.

That said, organic beast mode and all, I think a 3P BW Dinobot would be a decent seller, if Takara doesn't do an MP first.

Literally walk into any Target, Toys R Us or Walmart and they'll have a decent enough selection of Marvel, Transformers, DC, Lego, Megabloks, and other random shit to buy. You'll probably enjoy 98% of what I've listed and in a few short weeks you'll have outgrown every American toyline because you find everything that doesn't have to be shipped from grand Nippon to be utterly worthless and beneath you.
>>
>>5815957

Google characters/series you like, browse the selection then look for reviews.

Pretty much any review will go over quality, amount of articulation, paint job, and give you an overall idea on if the figure is worth it.

I just received a big box of Ultraman & monster vinyls I had ordered from the HLJ summer sale, I had had them sent registered SAL so I took a while.

I basically got the leftovers of the Ultra Monster X series and a couple of 500 series figures. In hand they're really nicely detailed despite being such simple toys. I wish I had decided to place my order before some of the other kaiju I was eyeing had sold out.

I ended up with 11 kaiju and 3 of ultraman Xs forms, now I'm considering ordering some of the Ultraman Orb stuff, or possibly an X-Diviser so...
