It may not be the best place for that but I just don't know where to ask... I love lego, I'm a collector since many many years, but for some complicated reason I want to sell my entire collection... I just don't know what price to ask. I don't expect to make a lot of money, I've probably spent more than I will get. What is the best way to evaluate it?
>>5304396 lel I think you should ask your grandpa for some life coaching.
Um...I'm too old to ask family for Christmas presents, but when I was younger, I'd just make a list of stuff I wanted (toys, books, etc.) and either give it to my Mom or put it on the fridge. I like being surprised, so generally prefer to give multiple options or name categories of things rather than ask for one or two specific items.
Hey /toy/, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I bought this Pyramid Head figma back in July at a con for about 50 bucks and it's been a really good figure so far but just today his arm snapped off. My bet is that one of my younger cousins found him and broke it. My question is, is this an easy fix? I've never really had any of my expensive figures break on me like this.
Yes, in that any rube can slap super glue onto the broken area and never use it again to keep it in place.
No in that, even with proper pinning and tons of preventative care, the joint will always be useless because it will have a fundamental flaw that will re-emerge with enough movement. It's gone, dead, broken, finished.
Don't bother fixing it. Replace it. If somebody says "pin it", ignore them because they're... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Why does ThreeZero keep releasing figures from dead franchises? Now, that Caiman release was cool. Seriously though what's up with the decaying franchises? Nobody should care about Game of Thrones, Crysis, Breaking Bad, Titanfall, or whatever other stupid irrelevant forgotten series they're pumping out on an assembly line!
>>5304044 Caimen is gay as fuck. But anyway, I think they, along with 3A, get a license and then don't do shit with it for years. It took them 3 years to come out with a Halo 4 Chief, it took them 4 years to come out with a Transformers figure that's already not the newest movie, and 3Z is in the same boat.
They're the epitome of a company that's such a mess and riddled with people who are awful at time management.
>>5304044 Maybe their thought (and business practice) is that properties that were huge but are no longer "hot items" might find a careful balance where the costs to license aren't as high but the fanbase is still large enough to support the production costs for the line itself and in turn pull a greater profit than some costlier brand new and relevant license.
As someone who's old enough to have fond memories of that tv show and playing with those toys when they first came out, I think what you want this thread to be about nostalgiafagging.
Toys from back then are total shit compared to the stuff being produced today. Though, toys produced today can't hold a candle compared to what was being produced in the 00s. The 00s was golden age, what with better quality in paint and plastics, and they were priced cheap as fuck. Only a few companies have improved since the 00s, like NECA and japanese collector companies,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Thats a good question. Maybe it's something they just don't do out of respect, or because shit would get really bad for everyone with 30 Megatron's trying to buttfuck each other to death with laser cannons to be the top dog. Or maybe the AI is sufficiently complex that they just can't do that.
nb4 that picture from the comics of Optimus' entire memories/personality being saved to a 1mb floppy disk.
>>5303964 Just to warn you though, it has a lot of issues. Not so much to do with QC, but it's more to do with how its elbows are designed poorly to the point that it will always break unless you never move them at all. In this regard, I'd only recommend it if you're a diehard fan of Raiden and in desperate need of a 1/6 figure of him.
>>5304405 The way the elbow joints are designed, they're put together in such a way that the joint doesn't slide properly and instead it pulls the rest of the internal mechanism. Basically moving the joint strains the plastic enough to slowly break it internally. The hard part is how the arms are also covered in a rubber sleeve (to hide the joint) so you'd really have to customize it if you want a working elbow joint (I've seen some people offer services to fix the elbow joint on the Sideshow Freaks forums).
