I do a lot of modifications, but I don't make from scratch personally. You might check the Customs thread currently running, and the Gunpla and Scale Models threads are probably decent resources as well.
>still have a bunch of Kenner Aliens figures >including some of the transparent mail-away "invisible" predators >one of the invisipreds has been painted with Apple Barrel acrylic paint from the time when I decided that I didn't need so many invisible Predators
Goddamn I loved that line. I wonder if I still have the Queen Hive playset.
I finally gave in and bought my first Figma. I've wanted this thing since I first saw it but could never justify the purchase. A while back I got a pretty sweet tax refund and decided to take the plunge. It just came in the mail and it's great, but I have two problems. Picture related. It's not my own picture, but my phone is being a shit so I just grabbed one off Google to illustrate the problems.
First off, I can't get her ear covers off, even though they're supposed to be replacable.
Second, the lower part of her waist... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Show me toys that look retro but are still starships! I really want some toys that would look like they are tech made in the 1930s-1960s, the sleek shiny shapes they did back then were just gorgeous, and I would love to have some to use with star wars/gijoe/MU figures I have.
Best I can find right now, but I would prefer a more.. "airstream" look than merely this.
This is the sort of aesthetic I would love, star wars has the porax 38 which is close, but no toys are around of the bail organa speedercar, so I am kinda left at a loss on finding this sort of look in toy form.
Everyone should now be shopping for their assignments, and try your best to have your packages shipped by the first week in December. Shipping slows waaaaaay down during the holiday season, so get those packages out early to ensure they get there by Christmas!
To protect yourself from false Grinching accusations (who would do such a thing?) you can send me the tracking info or a picture of the package before you send it. This is important because Grinches will be put on a list that I will give to the Secret Santa organizer next year, so... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Finally bought the bulk of my person's gift. I skipped going to the Lawrence Arms Christmas Show just to get you something extra. Now I'm gonna fill it up with some other goodies and send it out next week. I'm pretty excited.
I feel like this seems a decent package for GotG minifigures, but I'm not sure about the main ship, is it decently designed? Big enough? Is the build any enjoyable? This is in my christmas whishlist but I still haven't decided...
>>5301174 >I'm not sure about the main ship, It was a day one buy for me >is it decently designed? Just look at that sleek mother fucker. >Big enough? Seats 4 out of five Guardians (sorry Groot) but not much else. >Is the build any enjoyable? S'okay I suppose.
>>5301174 Depends if you liked the design of the Milano, it's okay to build, pretty simplistic since it's very modular, but it still is a very good looking model, imo. I'm just not a big fan of the guardians figures since they use the design from the last scenes of the movie, but dat ronan, man.
