So, while I'm trying to limit my purchases for now, I wound up buckling down tonight and wound up ordering Max Gokin Big O. I have the SoC, but given the price of the expansion set and the general unsatisfaction I had with it, I felt like I might as well go all the way and save up for this. Then I saw it for a decent price on Mandarake, and decided I couldn't risk losing it.
>>5683437 OP here, I actually have that hanging out in my Private Warehouse over on HLJ. Funny enough, SoC Big O and Bandai VF-19A have both been hanging out on the same shelf for the last year, funny they're both getting effectively replaced in the next week or so.
>>5681850 Plasti dip should work fine, I think some people have even done precisely that in the past. Anyway, sculpt your positive, create a two-part mold from it, paint/swish around some plasti dip inside the mold, and you should be golden.
>>5684179 >Plasti dip should work fine It doesn't. As a material it is too prone to rips, even in multiple layers. The image that you have is a 100% different material and consistency to Plasti Dip and isn't an apt example of what to expect from that product. They're using lacquer-thinned silicone and liquid pigment.

I had this one really awesome big mutated praying mantis monster toy. It was plastic, but had a rubber abdomen you could squeeze and a big ball of goo would balloon out. The legs couldn't move, but you could break apart the segments and they were attached by a elastic string There was even a big spike on the back you could pull like a lever to make his arms do an attacking motion. And he also had batteries and an on off switch to make sounds and have his eyes glow when you pulled the spike.
My Avengers are a mix of classic, MCU, West Coast and EMH. Trying to track down a Ms. Marvel. Also want to add Black Widow, but i'm a fan of her comic design and most of the comic design toys are shit, so i'm waiting for a new one.

>>5686126 That's because Hasbro fails and is for poorfgs, while true collectors buy only from Takara and 3Ps because they can afford it. Hasbro peasants suffer to get a deluxe smart, well off people bought months ago. They will then stick that toy on their poor wal-mart shelves in their shanty apartment.
Hello /toy/ I used to browse here occasionally but not so much anymore. But as of recently I've been looking at stuff from Japan and Yahoo auctions. I have to use a proxy for this stuff and used Buyee a few times but I'm sure there's better options out there. On buyee at least, I'm finding I'm "not allowed" to bid/buy from certain sellers/auctions which is annoying I figured you all would know so pls help.
tldr what're the best proxy sites like buyee I should be using?
>>5685437 >buyee It's shit and expensive, why did you use it on the first place? >"not allowed" to bid/buy from certain sellers/auctions Sadly it's not the service you use but the sellers, some times, don't want to deal with middlemen or foreign customers. You can even win the auction but the seller will cancel the deal under the excuse of bad rep.
I'm new here at /toy/ and I've started collecting Marvel Legends action figures for fun. Show me your collection of Marvel Legends or any other is fine.
Also post what would you recommend to a newbie like me on collecting toys like these, I'd be much appreciated. Pic related to the first one i bought today (Last one at Walgreens, felt pretty lucky to find it)
>>5681251 Quit while you are ahead. This is just one giant slippery slope covered in oil and WD-40 that you might not get back up from.
With that being said, you could start looking into buying things online. I had an old collection of Marvel Legends from lots that I bought up on eBay, until I moved over to Figuarts for some of the newer stuff.
I vaguely remember those. I don't think they lasted very long. They were pretty expensive for a long time due to their obscurity and lack of other options.
If you're just looking for Nintendo characters, the last couple of years have seen a lot of new figures that are much better than those old things. Is there a particular reason you're after the Nintendo Power line specifically?
>>5681201 I'm a big Nintendo fan and plus I've always wanted to start a collection of figures or toys that i could be proud of and so when I heard of these and how old they were I just had to start collecting them
I'm just looking to see if there's some more out there that haven't been seen in a while aside from the one's I already mentioned
