>also in most sets you get a few baddies, so maybe add some of them
Unfortunately, see >>4530619
This one was probably my all-time favorite as a kid. That giant well-lit pit... Funny enough, I was thinking of scanning my old catalogs before you started posting these. Mine are a few years older (1984-1994). I might do that today.
And I don't have a flickr, but between the LQ wiki and the suptg archive, just about everything I've made outside of /toy/ is online:
I'm so impatient, but BrickLink's setup really seems to take forever if you've got a problem with a seller not responding. First, you have to wait a week to file the non-responsive seller report, then they have another two weeks before it actually cancels the order. While all that's going on, I'm sitting here unwilling to put in another order for the same item because if the guy comes back in three weeks and goes "Oh damn an order!" I'll be the one with the negative feedback if I don't come through. Guy hasn't bothered to log in since May, his items shouldn't be listed for sale anymore.
My son and me wanted to ask you guys how many minifigures we could possible buy for 50€ (~62$)?
Or should we buy a lot of seperate parts like legs, torsos, heads etc. from bricklink?
We have a lot of bricks, but we're missing figures to make everything look lively.
I guess multiple generals cancer moved to Bionicle threads.
We'd be happy if we could a mix of new figures and old / really old figures, a lot of different hairs and hats. My son dislikes plain shirt torsos because the figures tend to look very similiar in the end, I like them, but I guess he's smarter than me.
The skin color doesnt matter (nougat(?) or yellow).
Would it be better to look for specific minifigure parts on bricklink and then just order them?
i was lego hugry and wanted a bigger creator set with vehicle where i could put a minifig as the driver.
i chose 31002 because it was the only choice.. it even was discounted by about 25%.
i fucking love lego yellow.
If you're looking to get another one, 31022 Yellow Racers has three builds that can all accommodate a minifig, and the B-model looks like a meaner version of 31002.
FUCK. 31023, even. Well, this one can probably take a minifig too.
Under the advice of /v/, I have made a Mechanical Tribal African Warrior.
He features a Watermelon Power Fist, shoulder-mounted Ghetto Blasters, and two Golden Bones- the one near its nose can be used as a replacement.
I'm probably not going to BL them just for this challenge, but I wouldn't turn down free torsos!
In space, no one can hear your ghetto blasters.
But they sure as fuck will feel them.
>do you have any plans on making it physically?
I was thinking about it.
>do the color pieces exist?
>are you gonna make his friends
I was thinking about making Foxy sometime later.
for the Five Nights at Freddie's guy
SY made those from a mobile game
Just a test to see if this works on my new phone. Neat. Yay technology. Sorry i had an old flip-phone until recently. It would have taken days to type all this text on my old phone haha! Also, Omega Queen here is trying to get some viral advertising for her Lego Ideas project. But you will forget about her, that's her power.
I like Tiny Turbos
I have too much free time
I'm missing like eight more TTs before I have all of them build in LDD
Here, have the original Brick Street Customs shop with some of the cars I made
Hey guys, I made a Lego-scale SKS. What do you guys think?
Note that after taking these, I have made the barrel a bit shorter.
And this is it compared to the other ones that I have made. Next, I plan to make a Mosin and an Obrez
>as 3D printing Lego parts are shit.
This is true. The technology just isn't quite there yet. Maybe one day.
>I plan to somehow sell it
Perhaps sell the 3d model to brickarms or something like that.
Have a ridiculously heavily armored MFZ frame, fresh from LDD.
For me the best deal is a set like this one (coming soon) or the Forest Ambush (out now) where you get four guys and some gear for about $12. There's also Construction worker and Firemen set like this coming out in January.
i have begun my first phase of some sort of gondorian/numenorean/silmarillion battlement or castle. the end product will take up the space of 9 15x15 grey baseplates. this is the first set of wall and will probably be made over again when i get my next brick order. both battlements will bracket a very large gate. the battlement is right around 2 feet tall.
sometimes you just get tired of the LoTR sets and want to make your own, y'know?
(i am calling it osgiliath for now for lack of a better name)
I wouldn't trust the croc being old style until you see the actual production set. They've used placeholders before in prototype box art. I'm looking at you, Mos Eisley Squidward Band.
the outward walls will later be removed and replaced with a far larger fortification that will also have a parapet and smaller towers. my third shipment of bricks probably wont make it to my work table until after christmas, so this whole undertaking sounds to me like it will take at least a couple years to complete.
i really would like to found or find an adult lego building group, but i live out in the sticks and building with others kinda doesnt seem right to me. maybe on another project.
And here comes Foxy, barreling down the hallway to let you meet his favorite (and only) hook hand.
Shoulda checked on Pirate Cove, matey!
I looked for it and couldn't find it, probably because I'm not focusing again.
Another thing I was annoyed with; his shoulders were way too low. I've resolved that.
First Lego set in over a decade, I'm absolutely in love.
Sorry for shit tier photo I only have my phone camera atm.
Some constructive criticism: the eyes seem too close together, and I'd change the colour of the upper part of the mouth. Don't have LDD open at the moment though, so I don't know if there is a more appropriate colour available.
Good work though so far, and you'll get bonus points if you can manage to get the eye patch to flip up.
That right there is an awesome little set, one of the best small sets LEGO has ever put out imo. Lots of fun to actually play with and a treasure trove of awesome pieces.
Speaking of, just picked this little guy up, most swooshable ship ever as far as i'm concerned.
OK peeps, here are some of the scans of my early 1980s-mid 1990s flyers.
>Lunar Rocket Launcher
My sister got that for me along with a Sea Cow for my birthday.
The Sea Cow was awesome, but the Lunar Rocket Launcher had me damn near in tears, all dat nostalgia.
Best sister ever.
That is a seriously painful reminder as to how shit the 2015 Pirate line is going to be.
I can attempt to work on Freddy as soon as I can.
Actually building these is another story, I still have no idea if some of the pieces actually come in the colors I need them to. [notoyspoilers]And I've never used Bricklink[/notoyspoilers]
>one stud microball connections
I NEED THESE
I hope they'll have others food suits in the future. I need a banana guy for an Arrested Development MOC.
I think you mean the future DC set with Gorilla Grodd?
The truck driver minifig would be nice for someone in the stand but I still want a banana suit guy.
Wow, I had that rescue chopper. I use to build the speed boat that was on the back of the box. Also had Ice-Sat V, both were presents for my 10th bday. I wish I had kept all my childhood toys.
I really like the new AT-AT. I'm not particularly a prequel era fan, so my choice would be skewed of course.
Pic is not the new AT-AT, by the way.
Well, the AT-AT is always AT-AT, definitively one of the if not the coolest vehicle in the saga. However if you have an earlier one it's not that big of a differnce, the latest 3 AT-ATs are more or less the same.
The republic gunship.. Man, it's great. Sturdy build, very fun too, huge, menacing. Great minifigs too. I'm probably biased but I love Clone Wars too, so I'd probably recommend the Gunship.
I mean it is one year older than the AT-AT, so if you want it you have more time to get the AT-AT. No matter what you pick, you'll not be disappointed.
BSP , still nothing?
also , TRU is taking over Poland!
actually no, but there's a third store coming , this time in my area, hope this will bring some price competition... (there's SMYK store in same mall , polfags know what i talk about)
Hero Factory can use normal Lego minifigures well. That makes it superior to Bionicle.
Bionicle is still awesome.
>get home late Friday night after the craziest work week ever
>slip of paper in mailbox
>"DIDN'T FIT LOL"
>post office is only open for 90 minutes on Saturday morning
>go post office, receive Polski package
>it totally would have fit in the mailbox
Now to give you negative feedback because you dared to ask if I had received my package yet!
what, did i sent it to singapore again?!
thisis my way of showing worry, evertime i send package i play gamble game with post office.
I have a question
How well do Scala props interact with minifigs? Does anyone use them? I only recently began looking at the entries for them on BL.
I mean, they're a little big, but some sets seemed to include regular System accessories, so I assume they're pretty much to scale.
jaki helikopter z drwalem jest po 99,99zl a byl za 199,99 zl.
tak wiec CZASAMI cos sie znajdzie.
amazing question you know.
you're new here? welcome aboard!
Okay, I lied. We've had them for a while, but they were mainly for Lego Board games (lol), rare Grand Opening sets, or some city sets in 2013.
>goddamnit, i started lurking few weeks ago.
>got me into fiddling with legos again.
my story is i saw The Lego Movie and thought "wonder what happened to my old sets"
and now i am here lurking, selling mifigs and rebuilding old stuff and ordering missing parts from slowly responding bricklink sellers.
Welcome to the club, anon!
Soon you will discover Cracklink and the transition will be complete.
lego movie was awesome, but that didnt really spark my interest.
then i saw some cool shit you guys were doing, and i thought "i think i can still build something".
and i almost could.
i checked out the site, too raw for me.
also, i recognize those roads.
i still have those at my folks place.
You are the most talented, most interesting, and most extraordinary person in the universe. And you are capable of amazing things. Because you are the Special. And so am I. And so is everyone. The prophecy is made up, but it's also true. It's about all of us. Right now, it's about you. And you... still... can change everything.
there's no "almost" in lego, my friend. build a car, build a house , build a robot, buiuld a mish mash.
everything is AWESOME.
The Jurassic Park dinos are starting to leak, plus a robot shark, guessing from the Agents line.
Could only find some of the pics in link above, so unfortunately you may be required to watch a dreaded just2good video. My condolences.
>may be required to watch a dreaded just2good video
I got your backs guys...
I found these on some other sellers Tabao. They claim they're new for 2015- I believe 'em. They use the same moulds as some 2012 Dinos, but they're new colors.
This is another mould, again a recolor of a 2012 dino.
Then we got this mysterious shark I found on the same seller as the D-Rex's store. I have no idea what theme it's from. Maybe a new Aqua theme? Or another Summer wave of Ultra Agents in 2015?
Possible Green Goblin hat and ears?
Man, those, the orc heads, and some short legs could make some sweet goblins.
>Return of the huge sharks from Pirates 09/Agents
>Boats do not float
Does TLG still make seaworthy boats?
Is this a good set? I'm still on the fence on it, it's the one set that is more or less retired that I don't have from the LOTR/Hobbit line..
The Lego group's attempt to reign in on how people refer to their product is silly. People have always called them Legos. I've never actually met a human being who genuinely calls them "Lego pieces'" or just "lego" instead of legos.
I call them Lego (x) not necessarily because TLG has told me to, but because "Lego" is an adjective and my English-major-autist self won't permit it any other way. At least I gave up trying to correct everyone else all the time.
>"Lego" is an adjective
Only by design, the actual meaning has drifted to a noun, undeniably. Do you still consider Tupperware to be an adjective coupled to some (x) where (x) is some variety of container? How about kleenex (x) where (x) is something along the lines of "tissues"?
My linguist-autist self won't permit the constraining of language from organic change.
lel huw is so dumb he put the advent calender pics up early
>buy $30 in lego
>it hurts to buy it
>drop $50 on unlocked creepy crates this Halloween for tf2
>it doesn't bother me at all
Ahhh help me ;_;
>drop $50 on unlocked creepy crates this Halloween for tf2
>dropped $50 on hats that only work once a year (and full moons)
FINALLY! Also for regular castle goblins. That one drawn design with the moon shield may get a figure afterall. I'm hoping it's just like the drawing since it's perfect the way it is.
The best thing I got was a strange haunted wild ride which sold for $15
Anyways I hope the next castle line is cool
D-does anyone else play with their lego or are you all collecting only?
I don't swoosh, but I enjoy pouring everything out into a pile and just sticking things together however the fuck. I couldn't do the acting out stuff even when I was a kid. Maybe I'm defective.
I never collected them. Just had'em bought for playing and building. Now I'm confined to two sets until I can reunite with my buckets of fun.
I mostly dissasemble or rebuild them.
I've only gotten to play twice so far, but I'm waiting for when I get enough stuff to have a grand castle battle and have an adventuring party traveling around like the old days. Actually, I never did the latter as a kid, so having a core group going around on quests will be a fun and new thing to try.
Gave Farah what is probably her final upgrade. Found a way to redo her old waist in a way that didn't sacrifice articulation and cleaned up most of her parts.
I'm gonna start working on some other things at this scale next, I might build her some sisters or give her a motorcycle or something.
Also, I'm making some renders in POV, I'll upload those when they're finished but it'll probably take a while.
It's not the same as building physically, but it's probably the closest I'll get for a long time.
Starting on Freddy now, will probably be quick to make since he and Bonnie share the same body type.
But first, the horrors of discovering the "select by color" tool.
WHO'S READY FOR POWER DIGGER 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO?
I'm pretty satisfied with these.
New episode of Lego Quest is up:
Yeah I've had one continuous storyline all these years that changed from childish fuckery way back when to something a hell of a lot more autistic and in depth right now. Gotta keep continuity in this universe I guess
I have a wiki with 272 pages for my Lego games.
found this on taobo
I made a new Frosticons Max using 2 Slumbos, 1 Flurr, 1 Lunk and some spare parts. What do you guys think?
some pictures of Speed Champions and new Mixels
The night mixels at least bring a new array of glow in the dark pieces. Should make for some interesting highlights on builds.
I thought I was getting a flasher/floater in my eye the other night, but it was just my lego ghost on a shelf. Can't see something like that if you look directly at it in pitch black, but it appears around the center of your vision. It was kinda freaky actually haha
It's really just their eyes, which will be a cute gimmick for my already existing mixels but not enough to make them interesting on their own, and the lackof joints really does not work in their favor. However, dark blue is my favorite color so I'm probably getting them anyway.
"You a COLLEGE boy or somethin'? I bet you think you're pretty smart. Think you can outsmart a bullet?"
Love the lighting on these. Super-authentic when it comes to that late-night gas station look.
are you uncreative and buy megabloks cod because muh gun posing accuracy? get the fuck back to the bioncle thread if you hate building builds and anythig with a lack of joints cuz freedoms is dumbs
>4 different colored raptors
>1 baby raptor
If they have triceratops and pteradons again this will be perfect.
look at this shit. hardly any movement inthe legs. when is neca gonna make that action figure of him already? and dont tell me to make a moc, because it'd look terriblely blocky
>Love the lighting on these. Super-authentic when it comes to that late-night gas station look.
Thanks! I had the idea for using this light box as a ceiling since the last episode of After the Brick. I'm really happy with how it worked.
Dr Hibbert, Groundskeeper Willie, and Santa's Little Helper all confirmed.
HotDogGuy already a best.
The one with sand green arms in particular look great.
Medusa's torso is great for female orcs
oh and anyone else have adventuring parties to show off?
> double building
> includes a barbershop
> the torso from "where are my pants"-guys wife in a set that isn´t total shit
> a bunch of brick wall pieces
> Padmé, Luke and Doc Ock hair
> maybe new hair with the blue jacket guy
> comfy double balcony
> neon POOL sign
looks like there's the new cat mold with a new print too. Pool neon uses the round tile with hole in a new color, very nice.
>mixel joint pieces used as decorative immobile elements
I didn't see that coming
> hating on cat that looks like it´s playing
> actually liking that giant, comic book looking motherfucker of a beast that is the new cat mold
Non-Americans call them Legos too because Megabloks is TRU exclusive and no selfrespecting store sells the other shit brands.
The same as erry other modular too. I thought this would be common knowledge by now.
anyone on the east coast still see rattlecopter on shelves anywhere? I need one for some parts.
What are the black/grey parts they use on top of the houses? On the orange house it kinda looks like Hero Factory/Bionicle hands and on the blue house it looks like black Unikitty tails but on near inspection it looks like some kind of disc.
zaraz ide do biedry...
should i buy orange creator or orange technic?
already got orange city
Found a bigger pic, they are indeed Hero Factory fists and 4 black Uni Kitty tails.
The blue jacket guy has a new hairpiece of hair that sticks up but much smaller than the existing piece from the sleey boy CMF. Looks pretty much like Avengers 1 Hawkeye so they will probably use it for him next year, too.
i already have all the mixels from this year.
not a fan of chima
and i have OCD which forces me to complete themes
The dinosaur design is pretty good, vastly superior to all the new dragons and big figs. I still would have preferred brickbuilt dinosaurs. I hope the builds and colors aren´t complete shit like they were in Dino 2013.
Hopefully this means no feathers on the dinosaurs in Jurassic World, too.
I know it's not scientifically accurate or whatever, but fuck, that is the fastest way to make horrifying giant monsters look retarded as shit.
The dinosaurs in JP aren't legit dinosaurs anyways, as explained in the movie their DNA was 70% dino and 30% frog.
and feathers are not retarded, that's like saying a bear looks retarded for being covered in fur with no muscle definition.
Legend beasts are legit the only good thing we got from Chima.
Much better way to get Mixel joints than the Mixels themselves (Lion and Wolf have 9 pairs of new joint pieces while some Mixels only have clips). Gorilla is perfect in design and scale for a Lego King Kong.
You should fuck your OCD man, what do you care about set collections when you are MOCing anyway?
Creator really is the pseudo-classic line. I wish all creator sets had regular smiley faces, not just modular buildings.
dude i goota move out, i dont any any places nearby.
THEN i'd be moc'ing like crazy AND keeping my childhood sets in check.
>Complete Set Mint in Sealed Bag.
What are the chances that I WON'T get the minifig I'm buying? I can't open the bag beforehand because I was requested to get the specific fig for a present and it doesn't have anything I could really feel for.
I went and they had them, just not out on the floor. They put them out when I asked about them. Picked up three, one for myself, one for a friend, and the other just to keep in the packaging.
All of them have pieces to feel for. You remember how certain pieces feel and you look for those ones. New molds are more confusing, but if you've seen the picture, you can tell what something's supposed to be. I wish the boxes would show EVERY character, so you're reminded of what's all there so you don't mistake a piece for something else, and you know what secondary accessories to feel for.
So is there like a tutorial anywhere on how to buy stuff off of Taobao and ship to 'Murica? Because I'm interested in buying some of these unpainted molds for my collection.
I've hit up two Toys R Us locations today, and neither of them had it. I'm trying one more location in a bit, and if they don't have it, I'm resorting to Bricklink to buy it.
>Barber Shop to change hair styles to throw off trails
>Adultress waiting to seduce Ace Brickman
>Mixel Joints and Hero Factory hands used as detailing parts
>What looks like a minifig-scale pool table from the window
Set of the Year confirmed, nothing will be able to top it in both style and playability.
>There’s more news from The Brick Show regarding some Toys R Us exclusive polybags. The first is the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Rocket Raccoon (5002145) polybag and they note that it will now be a gift with purchase item during Black Friday. This contradicts a previous post in which it was stated they would be available as a stand-alone polybag on November 16 for $4.99 each. It’s hard to grasp which way Toys R Us will making it available because news keeps changing every couple of weeks. And yes, we already know that Canada already had this promotion with purchases of $30 or more.
Fuck this, I'm getting it off of Bricklink. I am not spending $100 just to get one minifigure that I really want, especially considering I'm poor as shit.
Hey guys, TRUfag here.
The street date for the polybag (as far as I know, this is nation wide for Toys "R" Us) was today. We had them for sale for $4.99 in the same place we usually stock the other polybags. I'm the manager in the area with the LEGOs, so I took the initiative to take them off the floor because of neckbeard scalper faggots buying twenty at a time. Apparently the exact distribution is up to the regional higher-ups, but the official date when the figure was allowed to start being distributed was today.
