This thread is for discussing sets, MOCs, Lore, and everything related to Bionicle (new and old), Hero Factory, Chima, and everything else that uses CCBS
Putting titties in Bionicle or CCBS MOCs is wrong and you should feel ashamed
Old thread: >>4563019
>Illegal toe connections
>Illegal torso connections
>Illegal nipple connections
also, tfw my shitty Roodaka moc is in the OP.
That connection is the best there is.
I use it for shoulder and toes
Not mine, but I would buy the shit of this topical MOC if TLG ever has bonkle cuusoo
Oh, I quite liked them when i made her.
Also guys, im going to need your opinion on this. What eye colour should i take?
But do orange eyes look best when looking at a cosmetic angle?
Also gusy, With the white blend or without?
What looks better?
Its able to move its lower jaw, so it can bite things
And as last a size cccomparison.
With a toa nuva
Made a shitty drawing about different styles I could use, A is my personal favourite but what about Bonkles/CCBS General thinks?
Yeah, I'm not too crazy about that either, but TLG hasn't exactly given me too many alternatives with fingers, at least not for what I'd like.
japan really knows what they're doing.
i mean look at that shit.
You know that pearl was the practiacally standard silver shade for bonkle parts from after Nuva, until Hero Factory came along, yeah? Like, most parts didn't see a release in other colors. Whatever your opinion on it, it's abundant and having a standardized color for nearly 10 years is a good thing no matter what the color may be.
I should have never taken this thing off the
shelf, I can't stop 'fixing' it now. Those dinky silver tooth bits on the shoulder were bugging me, so I thought to replace them with proper pauldrons. I like these plates well enough, they lend a very empyrean look, but hinder shoulder articulation too much for my liking. Are there any other pieces that could work well here?
Shhh, pls don't tell Black Six, he'll ban me from /biog/ for having oppressive protrusions and open axles on my moc :'(
Well, I kinda fixed the shoulders and managed to fuck up the elbows in the process. They only have 45 degrees of non-bone-fracturing movement now, too tired to fix it tonight. Bulked up the bicep area too, but I'm probably going to just replace the whole thing with a swiveling assembly anyway.
Threw this together too, an alternate headdress. Out of curiosity, did anyone else modify their Terry to have the claw thing on his back a bit higher like horns, or a halo?
With Christmas almost here, we should stop being selfish and think of others.
I wanted to have darker letters with a brighter outline at first to match the mask but eh, couldn't be arsed. They'd make fun sigs though for the five seconds before they ban you.
Jokes aside I think I have mild OCD, come from a racial subbreed localy infamous for it's stubborness from one side, berserker aggression is the genetic constant on the other side, and over the years I have grown uncompromising and combative. It takes tremendous effort to stay away.
>All my Bonkles are back at home
>Want to make something in LDD but don't have the time
Fack /toy/ being a Bionicle fan is suffering. Take a look at some of my shit.
>Y cups were explicitly put on so that it would be modular with any other creations a Piraka would make
Never got around to making battle suits or mounting them to Rahi, only did this, which was kind of shit.
These pics were taken 6-7 years ago, apologies.
Tfw no gf, money, life and no social aptitude. Do you guys think self mocs should look like the mocers or represent how they want to be?
They aren't exactly slice of life characters. How do you write the everyday life of a character that takes heart from the fact that his suffering can't get worse? He'd either come off as a cartoony parody or so edgy that he shaves his razor.
Last OC update. I was initially disappointed in the reveal of Ultimate Dume (in hindsight, I was fucking stupid because that set is god tier) so I made my own combination model. Guess where I put the atrocious amount of Takanuva blades...?
Well I'm building yet another thing, no idea what to do for the torso yet though.
>and if anyone asks yes that's my laptop in the background, it's in a case of lego now.
Greg can you make my OC kanoka lord canon in the bionicle lore? He is a makuta but has all toa powers and able to teleport around the universe at will and can ressurect many times because he is mata nuis secret son
It was created whiles still inside the robot and took control of the mahri and some other guys and after death of Teridax it lead the guys it had hypnotized to the Spherus Magna. While in there it encountered Sahmad and Annona (dream eating tentaclecreaturegirlbeingwhathefuck). The gold pirakashitfusion created a dimension where are creatures like Annona. Gold being banished the tentacle thing there where all thoise other tentacles kinda ate it. After that the dimesnion was closed. In the process the fortress they had met was destroyed and the toa mahri and the other fuckers were released from the trance. Sahmad said: "Thank You goldfucktiwt, now Annona is not my problem anymore". After all of them parted ways, including mahri.
Tell me how that makes more sense than a son of Mata Nui.
>Tfw wrote dozens of so-called "comedies" all the goddamn time when I first joined BZPower
>A lot of them were Asks
>Even more were "A Day in the Life of"
>Hope to this day that they've been obliterated from existence.
So I was in the process of writing some fanfiction crap for Bionicle, and I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in reading it. Nobody ever really reads my shit on BZPower after all, and I don't exactly like the place that much as it is. Plus I like to think that here, I'd get more honest critique which is what I desire most of all.
Obviously any chapters would be placed in a Pastebin before posting so it would barely even clutter the thread up. Of course I can understand if nobody would want me to. It'd just be nice to be able to contribute to both the thread and Bionicle as a whole since I can neither draw nor MOC.
While I agree, it's not as though one would replace the other. We can still have both, after all. In fact, there'd be a significantly greater proportion of toys in the general.
Look at pictures of parts online or in LDD, specifically masks and weapons.
I was inspired to make a whole line of autonomous drone-looking MOCs just from Meltdown's mask. Of course, it only comes in yellow and the yellow clashes with their colors so I'll probably have to replace it, but it did give me the idea. Then from those I got inspiration for a gigantic 2000 part war machine.
But other than that, you kind of just need to wait until inspiration strikes you. You know you've got something when the idea keeps itching at you when you're not working on it.
Yup, that's me. I'm actually pretty honored to have inspired some of you guys. Feel free to use any parts of my builds for yours.
I was gonna do some Le-Matoran, but I imagined all six tribes to have a different body style, with the lele's being more lithe, tall, and less hunchy.
I never know how to summarise appropriately...
The story is set immediately after Mata Nui is put to sleep by the Makuta, and Metru Nui is turned into a ghost town. In the wake of the confusion, a group of Toa find themselves enlisted by a small band of Makuta to track down their former allies gone rogue, who have hidden themselves within Xia. From there, the Toa will find themselves embroiled in a fight for their lives as every second is one of suspense, paranoia and desperation.
However, the main appeal of this story for me is not so much the conspiracy but also the opportunity to partake in some serious world-building of Xia, as well as the place of the Toa in a universe that's falling apart.
sounds pretty neat anon, link it
mine is basically the bionicle lore redone as if it weren't Greg Fartstie's fever dream.
Pretty much, two po-matoran hunt down the makuta (of 2001-3) and this chronicles their journey across Po-Koro.
The appeal is more on the worldbuilding like yours, so we could find some parallels and help each other out with making ours not shit.
also have one of my mocs
forgot to link mine, here http://pastebin.com/Ktz3fbEz
there i jumped in first, now you gotta come in the pool
>107 views in 10 minutes
how in the motherfucking fuck
Here's the first.
It's my first time building with physical pieces in a long while, so it's a bit more crude than I'd like.
The tool he has is a Le-Matoran tree-gaff. It's a tool used by all Le-Matoran to aid them in climbing, swinging through trees, or any job they need.
While all gaffs have a hook at one end, some Matoran outfit the other with different tools such as prongs, blades, nooses, etc.
This guy went with two hooks for double mobility.
>sounds pretty neat anon, link it
Well, first I kind of need to finish it. I have a habit of losing motivation to write and then never picking a story back up, so I want to make sure I'm always three chapters ahead so I'll have something to post during my dry spells. I'm kind of excited for this story since I like to think it's my most ambitious as of yet.
well, I made this little Zergling-type critter.
It uses a mode of attack I call "Grasp-Assisted Saltatory Predation."
Upon spotting a prey item, it jumps and swings its heavy raptorial forelimbs, the impetus of which adds impetus to its leap.
One can only assume that it giggles maniacally as it does so.
should i add a roll cage? a second set of legs so it's like an elephant?
i honestly have no clue how this thing stays up
Welp, Tried with the rest of the masks. It works nice for Gali, Tahu and Kopaka. But it looks like shit on the rest.
I don't think im going to only art about Gali in strange poses so I guess I have to stay with the closed mouths.
rate my lego man. he's not done yet. what do i add???
so i'm adopting a name because everyone's always like WHERE'S POMATORANON
no trip though those are for fags and homoe
and the ass
Sounds bretty gud.
I love stuff like this that doesn't take a big shit on the lore/canon, and I'm a sucker for good worldbuilding. Would not mind taking a look at.
Also, I've noticed there's a SERIOUS lack of good crossover fics as well. /biog/, please for the love of Mata Nui, I beg you to scratch my itch and help me find anything remotely similar to a Bionicle/Warhammer 40K fic.
>mfw I found out that BZPower had become a hive of SJW's
> doesn't take a big shit on the lore/canon
> crossover fics
While we're writing fanfics I'd also be somewhat interested in penning one. I don't MOC but I could provide illustrations. It would be very canon (at least to the best of my knowledge) and probably focus on Matoran, for example during the Bohrok War. The Toa would play a part too but only rarely and would be seen as demigods by the protagonists.
>we need more oc goddamnit
so i recently found my hordika whenua torso had been broken, probably broke in storage. i had some technic hovercraft parts lying around, and a rocka stealth machine with a few extra CCBS joints, so i fixed whenua.
some kinda action pose. i really need more parts to make this better.
Nice. Colors are a little off, but I guess it's just use what parts you have. Makes me think of po-matoranons stuff. The hovercraft panels actually look good to, surprisingly.
Dunno about the claw though. Not big on claws that are just blades.
> still thinking TLM called it unimportant when the real reason for only having a cameo was that the father is a System purist and the kid too young to own them, therefore the only way of them to appear in the movie was through the catalog image
This raises a question. If Bionicle is featured in the next Lego movie, do you think they'll keep the correct scale or shrink the Toa/LOSS/whoever? Maybe there will be minifig scale Bionicle sets again, who knows?
> now I really want a Metalbeard vs Onua fight
>> now I really want a Metalbeard vs Onua fight
Wouldn't make sense, plus it would be unprofitable when people see bricks as the major thing lego does, ball joints just being an accessory
> expanding people's understanding of their product lines
> several thousand children who now "absolutely have to get Onua so Metalbeard can fight him like in the movie"
Also, why is it that whenever I suggest something, some anon swoops in to tell me that it's unprofitable?
Because, Bionicle got cancelled for becoming so unprofitable. Its why the first movie marked them as 'unimportant' when the sequel will most definitely have the same characters as before because people will complain if something isn't like the first. Look at the raining food films and jump street series having the same cast as the first with slight differences. Its those two guy's bread and butter of being able to remake the same film over again.
>To this day I don't understand why so many AFOLs hated Bonkle.
Because it literally is nothing more than build your own action figure with little to no rebuildability. Its why there will never be ccbs emmet because it would look ugly as well as be mighty unprofitable when everyone enjoys minifigs way more for being simple and small.
>I remember when the ending announcement was made, some people were actually happy to see it go.
I remember when hero factory was introduced, people displeased it for replacing something from many of their childhood's, bzpower.com for one. Then all of a sudden they make weekly podcasts over the sets that are coming like something to behold, disregarding whats been on shelves for 4 years now, especially when this reboot is just a reskin of said theme.
>little to no rebuildability
Because it sounds like you're saying it's hard to make custom things with them, which is not true at all.
That moc relies on a lot of parts and multiple of the same set. A lot of creator sets have infinitely more reusablity with a small amount of parts. For example, see if any other bionicle set, using its parts alone, can come up with as many builds that power digger has come up with.
welp, there it is again, the over-glorified power digger.
Because it's different. It's not simple bricks that you build houses or cars with. It's action figures made up of many large pieces that any "average" MOCist couldn't think of a use for.
It also has a story, and I read that even when they first released Star Wars sets, Lego fans complained because they thought the company was selling the story and characters instead of the toys. It was like, everyone was the anti-lorefag fag.
Shit, I've seen so many crazily butthurt AFOLs who still act like it's 2001 and like Bionicle was the first ever line in the company's history not to be made out of standard bricks. Even with the reboot, they're crying that it's being brought back, as if HF and other Constraction lines just didn't exist and there was this four year "peace time" when there was no evil stupid Constraction around to ruin their hobby.
hero factory was so generic, even good. Their parts blend well because the sleekness works with the smoothness of bricks and how one has to build up detail to make it stand out. Bionicle parts had its moments with the flamesword working as exhaust from a technic car but other than that its not very much usable with lego.
>it sounds like you're saying it's hard to make custom things with them, which is not true at all.
>posts a moc with many pieces, even hero factory here and there making it reliant on multiple themes and not bionicle alone
That's more the set's fault, not the system. Bionicle has never had one unified system, the closest being the inika system which lasted a while but was ultimately scrapped in the final year. Bionicle did have the masterbuilder set which could make 14 different models, significantly more impressive than three, and it had those parts tubs in 2004, that were fucking amazing. If TLG combined parts tubs with the CCBS we could have something fucking amazing on our hands.
>If TLG combined parts tubs with the CCBS we could have something fucking amazing on our hands.
If, you know, had a credit card you could easily make mocs with whatever parts you want and not need to be reliant on whats on shelves currently.
Bionicle is bought for the fact of it's lore and not just for some fancy system wings, unlike Chima and NinjaGo which are lorebased too.
Have more system oriented pieces and maybe it's okay to AFOLs ater that. If they slap you with the lore argument that stricts too much creativity from them, you can slap them with the fact of NinjaGo and Chima.
Ninjago and Chima's lore aren't super serious. Plus exo force was just as good, it too used bionicle parts sparingly because technic overall has a better system and never got cancelled.
Some asperges call NinjaGo's story much better than what Hero Factory was. It's not dead on serious but at least it has continuity without giant plotholes within end of every season.
The Evo Walker is turning out to be more or less the CCBS equivalent of it.
more like ninjagoinmybum
sorry im drunk lets talk bonicles
which is better, tahu or kopaka for 2015? im having trouble, I really like kopakas new mask but then again im a big fan of red sets, iveo rdered a whole toa mata set too so my childhood can remain intact
fuck what do
>Lewa just needs a fix for his head being so constricted
>Kopaka just needs smaller shins
>Tahu just needs better shins
>Gali is perfect
>Onua needs to get rid of either his silver or his gold
>Pohatu needs a complete do-over
so no updates for the gun leg yellow and white guy yet because his arms are giving me a pain in the fuck, so instead here's another wip i've got going on. he's closer to being finished, the only things I really wanna do are make the legs more feminine and maybe detail more here and there. thoughts?
close up with different shitty photo tint to show off more detail because bathroom lighting is 100% garbage
A Chan for Boinkels only would not work out. There's not enough interest, and the majority of the Bong community thinks chans are just misogynist gathering zones. That stigma wouldn't reflect too well on ANY website's traffic, and assuming there would be more than 2 boards, posting speed would be abysmal after the first few weeks. It was a fun discussion, but no more than a fantasy.
no, I wouldn't shit post because lol logins and people would just ending coming back here because its easier to understand and habbit forming. it just divides if people think its good to start up something when its better to plug into here because its the best there is.
Everybody, the first and, until recently, last time it was brought up. I suggested that it should be a traditional forum to compete with BZP by being BZP without the BS, and a site design that wasn't 2002 as fuck.
A chan or a separate website wouldn't work out at all. It'd be terribly slow, divide up the community, and eventually die from neglect after the first month. But I think an IRC channel would work well, it would serve as a more active medium of which to speak, it wouldn't divide up the community we have here, and it's simple to setup without users having to register or anything of the like.
They think it will, and sadly the SJWs are a very volatile, vocal minority on BZP. Few people would dare coming to us, I'm pretty sure. That doesn't mean I don't want to see it being tried out, though!
If you guys are really gonna do this, PLEASE ban users who keep bringing up hero factory and won't just let it die. I can't stand that theme. It should stick to its origins and remain a purely Bionicle experience.
This, but you can't just say "no sjws". All you need is some anti-harassment rule so mods can ban offenders without compromising the website's integrity.
All this. Maybe have a board for general CCBS discussion to contain the Herofags and Chimafags.
Go step on a Lego.
Slizers and roboriders are actually good, so their boards get placed just below the Bionicle boards
so it'll be like
There were redeeming parts, sure, but the line as a whole was just mediocre builds made for stupid little babbys in the target demographic for Metroid(minus Samus Aran, Metroids, and the like): The Animated Series.
Prove me wrong.
Off topic, but I think that anon is actually on to something. Not a Metroid cartoon, but some kind of lighthearted space fantasy thing focusing on an intergalactic bounty hunter (or hunters) could make for a neat kids' show. Maybe Disney could do something with Star Wars once Rebels ceases to be.
Why not Ahkmou? He's a respectable member of the community!
Is it already up?
Give puku some color man. Then maybe make the highlight colors for the whole site blue and yellow, to match puku.
Well I guess it could be any ussal crab. But still needs some color.
Nope, just placeholders. Anyway I'm off. Up to you to radically change it.
I think we should try to stick to darker earth colors for the site (Black, brown, purple tan, etc), and maybe the ussal crab could be a bright contrasting color (Orange, Takua blue, etc).
Also, I think we should give our crab its own name instead of just calling it Pewku.
Speaking of which, was this nigger ever released as a tohunga? I've seen this render floating around for years, but never any package he was distributed in.
>YFW you suddenly realize why Tahu's mask design was changed
in all fairness, he's shittingly easy to MOC.
Just replace McToran Jala's mask with one of the medium-blue Pakaris from the Nui-Jaga set
>inb4 Maori language controversy
Behold Robo-Burd, sworn enemy of Battle Kitteh.
>Tfw it's almost your birthday and there's been no mention of the sets in stores yet
Metal and motherfucking machine guns for legs vs red hot claws and an indomitable spirit. Squared off in mortal combat, who will win?
I live innawoods, but the local TRU is literally the first store you hit coming into town. BITD it usually had the new sets before anyone.

>Realize I don't have a chance in hell of winning
At least I had fun building for the first time in years.
Yeah, in all likelihood, one of the BZP celebs like DeeVee or Armchair is going to win. Then they'll make a big thing about it, rub it in everybody's face, and TLG will just smile and nod.
that's really fucking cool m8, don't get yourself down
also i have nobody else to tell but this is amazing news for me
so backstory, i got a testicle ripped off in a fight and that damaged the remaining one so badly it stopped working but like lazarus he hath returned from the dead and covered my fucking face with splodge last time i spanked the salami
the cummies return, after three long years of hibernation
I just used the chat feature on the website, and the agent said they are not sure of the exact date, but they are trying to get it before the holidays.
Anynon else could try that specialist chat and see if you get a different answer.

Reminds me of this
Never got umbra and got no money right now so I made this using umbra instructions and modifying it slightly.
yeah so anyway
i made a song-ish thing inspired by onua

Yeah, like berries and shit. Not to say I truly believe what I said, but that's definitely a line of thinking that could come up, especially if, say, you're part of a fanbase that likes to shoehorn sexuality into a children's toy line about robots.

Saw this pic a couple months ago here. Wondering if there's any more, or if anybody knew anything about it. Couldnt find anything on google.
slight update on the web. altered the color scheme a bit, also added some props.
anyone wann continue this?
Another anon said you really shouldn't use Wix or similar services to build a website if you want any kind of longevity, and I kinda have to agree with him. We need someone, or more preferably a group of people, who can build it from scratch.
well, at least we have some usable content now. anyone here can design buttons, backgrounds, any OC of the like? contribution is always appreciated. just email your stuff to the /bioccbs/ gmail account.
i can help with backgrounds/illustrarions.
usernames aside, let's start from now, people. by the time we have enough manpower to work on this, we may also have enough resources.
Post a thing that your childhood self would find creative
I added all the sets, excluding playsets, that I don't own yet to my Bricklink wanted list.
I kinda wanted to have them piece by piece and not as complete sets, but I have no idea how I could do that properly.
Mostly the latter. Should the people in charge of Wix get fucky, e.g., corruption, bakruptcy, selling the site, anyone who creates or uses a website through Wix is constantly at the mercy of whoever owns Wix. While site stability and the confidence that you won't have to worry about most the baggage that comes with running a website is good for small businesses, and while the pros don't necessarily outweigh the cons in some respects, I don't think it's really optimal for a forum-like environment. Not to mention there won't be restrictions by limitations of cookiecutter build-a-site designs, should someone DIY it.
You can document the things we've discussed here for future reference. If someone's already done so, it's still good to have backups.
Whether thru archiving, taking screenshots, or just saving the webpage (and images) onto your computer, it'll do us good in the long run.
