>Don't want to waste space with a lot of blah, blah, blah, when we've got some killer sample shots to show you! Check out these pics of us putting the test shot samples through their paces as we work with the factory to make sure the quality on these guys is up to snuff!
They just posted Test Shots today and the painted deco test shots aren't in yet. No HACKS before Jan/Feb 2016 now. We'll be lucky if they get these done and out of China before Chinese New Year at this rate. The same thing they blames THIS year as to why they were behind.
Not loving those awkward snake bodies.
Have manufacturers lost the ability to BENDY?
Next year they'll have their own shop. Boss Fight has failed to get other online retailers to carry these yet despite most will be either carded or bagged. $25 to $30 each figure, Skeletons are $15 to $20.
Fuck I guess I should have known they wouldn't care about any other hoplite helms.
I suspect a lot of people will be selling off the blanks next year. I know of someone I've already hinted that I'll likely take up the extras he doesn't want to keep next year just like Marauder Task Force before.
I'm throwing the extra gear on the blanks for nude demons/gods.
One step closer to making bestgirl of Monster Musume.
bendy toys are usually shit, because the rubber t hey put over the wire (that will eventually break) impedes the poses you can put it in.
And if the rubber is too pliable, it'll eventually rip or flake off.
In short, bendy toys are shit.
Also, they're shitty.
Segmented tails are much better... usually.
cock me, I just want a 1/12 Gorgon. I'd by 3 if they were.
I own absolutely no 1/18 figures because if I wanted to, I'd buy a plethora for dioramas, and until I move out next year I won't. It's not a huge deal to me, just would be cool to have a 1/12 Gorgon.
>They're still not sure if they'll do fleshtone blank for the site. They'd rather sell the full figure to you so you eat it
Which is why I won't buy anything from them unless it's a nude blank.
Their figures are really cool, but I don't have fantasy 1/18 scale and at this point I'm only interested in making customs of my own. And a blank nude to sculpt or sew onto and paint is more interesting than buying a complete figure for $30-50.
1/18 is already nearing the point of complete disinterest for me.
Just full figures and blanks figures. No blank snakes at all. I really wanted the Snake pony tail combined with a snake body, but no way am I buying two extra pricey figures and then paint
"Hello backers! As mentioned in our recent update, we are listening to you guys. As busy as we have been over the last few months, we realize many of you have unanswered questions. So, in the spirit of transparency, I will be holding a live Q&A segment tomorrow Thursday Oct 29th, starting at 5pm going until 7pm. I’m looking forward to answering your questions!
Boss Fight Studio
Yeah, maybe things will change once figures start to sell. They still believe they can produce Series 2 on their own without KS money, but they've been burning through the KS money like crazy and these figures are coming in underpriced for the KS Backers. So I won't be surprised to see Series 2 get a KS in the future. Of course that also means it might not make it to the market until 2017/18 right now when they showed it off in 2014.
These look fucking cool.
Is it kickstarter only, or will I be able to buy these later?
What are the future plans? Are they doing more Greek stuff, like Athenians, Cyclops, gods, Achilles, etc...? How about other mythologies, like Egyptian?
>Is it kickstarter only, or will I be able to buy these later?
They'll be sold very early next year here: bossfightshop.com
>What are the future plans?
Besides those, there is an exclusive Amazon Warrior available for pre-order right now. Free shipping.
ehh, not so excited about that.
I wish they could have brought the price point down. I'll probably buy up most of the Greek line as is, but if they could have done $18 or so, I would have easily army built the fuck out of those Spartans.
Anyone know of any other mythology creatures in this scale? I want some more monsters for these dudes to fight.
>will be holding a live Q&A segment tomorrow Thursday Oct 29th, starting at 5pm going until 7pm
Going on now. All backers can ask questions.
welcome to army building.
1:18 figures are relatively cheap, but it can get expensive very fast when buying 10 of each figure.
And when the HACKS cost much more than normal 1:18 lines, army building any of these figures will become super expensive.
I'm glad i don't give a shit about army building spartans.
Sux shit for me that i am army building the snakes... thankfully, fantasy creatures are something i wouldn't buy more than 4 of.
I backed around $600 and don't even care about half the toys. The all in for $500 or so dropped figure costs to something like $15 per figure vs the normal $30, so I picked up multiples of the figures I wanted (some skeletons, Myrmidons, molten spartans) and thought even if I unload the figures I don't want for under retail I still wind up with 12-15 figures for under $100.
Are those snakes actually part of Greek mythology?
I thought Medusa was the only person with a snake body, because of the Athena curse.
Her sisters had snake hair, but normal bodies. Where are these coral snakes and black snake things coming from?
>Are those snakes actually part of Greek mythology?
No, they did some OC to add an enemy. If you look at the whole lineup, I think all but maybe one evil character is also a woman. The heroes were all guys until someone pointed that out and that's when the Amazons were added to the line.
>How can you have Myrmidons without Achilles?
They originally said they wanted to come back and add more historic figures/gods in the future.
Jesus Christ, are even toys not safe from all this gender shit now? Who gives a fuck what gender people are, honestly. I never look at a collection and say "oh now, its only 30% female villains"
They should have did a Centaur or Minotaur to flesh out the heroes, but I understand want to get more out of your snake sculpt.
Someone is bound to be selling part or all of their KS stuff in Jan/Feb. Check places like hisstank/toyark. Shitty forums, but I found people selling Marauder Task Force sets with all the gear for KS prices and less when the stuff started shipping.
>Something seems off. That's $200 per backer
I backed at $500 and I was one of the people who was arguing with this company's shill during a lot of the previous threads.
Never underestimate 1/18 collectors' pocketbooks. You see GI Joe fans bitching about prices, but that's because when you buy like fifty a $1-2 price increase stings a lot more than if you buy like one.
