Per the usual, feel free to ask about where to go, what to do, how to do it, and what it will cost you or anything else Thailand travel related. The jet ski scam, the motorbike scam, navigating the BTS Skytrain system, and other Thailand related topics such as pad thai and also thai iced coffee.
>>975126 This video was made by the Thailand Tourism Authority, but it does have a seed of truth. As seen by my friend from the last thread who is now trying to only have "one time in Thailand". A lot of the diving instructors and such are like the guy in the video. Here's an amateur video, though. Showing more backpacker stuff.
Is Seoul a good place to visit? I live in Australia and want to go on a short trip somewhere just cause I've been feeling bored lately but it kinda sucks being so isolated because there's basically only asian countries to visit. Don't get me wrong, they can be great but they get boring eventually.
Anyway I've learnt a bit about SK at uni but haven't really heard much about their culture or anything, to me they just seem like a really production focused place with not much to offer. Say I spent a week in Seoul what would it be like?
please don't. i went to cambodia, it's swarming with australian frat boys and european douchebags wearing sleeveless shirts, getting drunk and acting like assholes, climbing on the ancient ruins and basically being an embarrassment to the west.
I live in Ljubljana but never did the sightseeing. Anyway, from the top of my head I would recommend the following sights: Ljubljana castle (great view from the top), old part of town (nice cafes, restaurants and shops), take a walk by the river from Preseren square to Trnovo, maybe some museums.
For the nightlife depends what you like. Metelekova or Tovarna Rog are a great experince (totally safe although it looks a bit alternative / underground). Cirkus and Top Six are two big clubs where the type of music depends on the day of the week. Would also recommend Neboticnik... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Street partiers, liberation day national holiday in Kuwait. Everybody gets in their car, packing squirt guns, and goes nuts along the main drag by the Gulf. SIlly string is now banned becasue the young men would use it to block the windshield of cars with pretty girls in them, so the girls would have to get out of the car and clear it away, and they could chat them up. Irked the social norms, plus left masses of silly string somebody had to clean up later,
I've got a serious question. My girlfriend is doing a solo backpacking trip around Europe in the Summer for about 3 months. How worried should I be about her sleeping around? Please no bully and serious responses.
Hey /trv/, I want to play a game. My camera just got screwed after being dropped in saltwater at seaside, but my SD card was saved. Now, I have been to many places this past year, and I want you to guess where!
Greetings all! A friend and myself will be visiting Iceland in June for a week and have nothing planned apart from renting a car and driving the ring road.
I would love any personal recommendations and must do's along the way other than the usual touristy stuff, we have a reasonable budget for Iceland so we are hoping to sample some nightlife and find areas where people hang out in major cities but don't know where our best chances for that would be this time of year.
Any other suggestions are greatly welcomed thanks!
and by touristy stuff I really meant to say things I could have researched online, I've done quite a bit of looking into what I might want to do but was hoping to hear some stories of hidden gems and things not a lot of tourist get to see/do
Probably my favorite country. Awesome outgoing population that will try to scam the shit out of you if you let them, beautiful scenery (seriously beautiful, I've never seen better), everything is cheap and even the cheap things can be haggled. I hope I can live there some day.
Wi-Fi question. Is there better deals than NTT docomo Wi-Fi for visitor? 1000 YEN is not bad at all, but I don't like to use credit card on everything. Can you get that Wi-FI visitor password from docomo stores and pay with cash?
