OFFICIAL 68th Primetime Emmys Thread 4
they're the whiniest people in all of existence. I can't even comprehend the depth of swirling bullshit that must permeate their minds. go ahead, reply with fedoras now you predictable , self programmed automotons
>PSST! MODS ARE ASLEEP. POST DISCUSSION RELATED TO TELEVISION AND FILM.
I'll start. Blair Witch doesn't look very good, but I'll probably see it anyway.
I didn't mind it, but it was 6/10 for me.
I'm really excited for Magnificent Seven, but I worry that not having seen the original (or the original original, Seven Samurai) is going to hurt my enjoyment of it.
Why was this received so badly?
I thought It was pretty good.
Kim Kardashian is the most famous person on television. In fact, she has defined a generation of modern television shows and stars.
How does it feel knowing she is a pioneer and the most influential television star to exist?
/tv/ needs to appreciate what she has done for television and how important she is.
Who was in the wrong here?
What's your opinion on CGI in movies?
Where do you draw the line between what's acceptable and what's not?
unacceptable when it's not needed at all
When it's backgrounds and background characters, it's acceptable, provided the background is impossible to just shoot regularly. Making crowds larger digitally is fine too.
Making full characters CGI is only fine when they're either doing something impossible or moving so fast you can't see if it's real or not anyway. Monsters/impossible main characters can be cgi I GUESS but it'll probably look kinda shitty. Costumes are actually better, even if they look unrealistic. Doesn't take me out of the movie as much.
I'm trying to watch house of cards but Robins throat butthole is so distracting. Help.
It's so distracting and gross.
ITT: Movies everyone forgot about except you
Who /traintobusan/ here?
I can't be the only one that enjoyed this zombiekino.
Is he patrician?
I met some asian kid at a bar in Richmond, Virginia with this same jacket. He proceeded to tell me about how he's analyzed the script to Drive, and thinks its the greatest movie of all time. He also believes "The Room" was an inside joke and actually a genius piece of art. Before I left, he tried to convince me that the Matrix trilogy was based on sound philosophy as well. All while wearing this autistic fucking jacket. Never before have I wanted to kill a man so badly.
>you will never be this cool
where to start? ok, first off, she's not _that_ hot. second, eye balls can't do that.
Okay, this show has actually gotten good. Let's discuss tonight's episode.
Anymore evidence pointing to them becoming The Whispers? It's really the only reason that I'm watching this.
Also we lost based Daniel but they keep worst girl, pic related obviously. WHY?
Every time I try to start the second half of season 2, I get bored and turn it off. I'm also 50 issues behind in the comics and probably won't even watch the regular show when it comes back on.
Why does season 5 get so much hate? It seemed like the inevitable way the story was going to go re: Walt's slide into pure psychopathy
Because the first half is stale and repetitive stuff we've already seen, and Jessie has a severely reduced role. The show in all other seasons was split between the two of them, but the final season Jessie is not so much a character but a maguffin, showing up to further the plot.
>First look at Gordon in Justice League
Cant wait for this movie. But shut the fuck up with "capekino"
We get it, youve been on 4chan for like 6 months... no need to rub it in our faces
Now that the dust has finally settled, can we all agree that this was actually good. Certainly better than Ghostbusters 2, and on par with the original.
What was his endgame?
>giving out tickets for amy schumer standup special on the radio
>the announcer herself says that amy schumer blocked her on twitter
How can you be a comedian and not handle jokes about yourself?
You know, I was never into the Amy Schumer meme. Nor did I ever really look into her content or media presence. So I genuinely had no opinion about her except for a vague knowledge of /tv/ memery. But, last week, I heard a radio promotion for her show, it was just a single "joke," and that was it, that was enough for me to instantly hate this bitch.
Are Americans really this dumb and obedient?
>Moments after the film finished screening, a woman in the audience shouted: "Sundance, you can do better!" saying that during a year with so many of the festival's films featuring strong female characters, "This is not the year to make violence against women entertaining."
>When Walker attempted to talk about her role and performance, which required her to be at least partially nude for a large portion of the film, a man in...

ADAM WINGARD ON SUICIDE WATCH
HOLY SHIT THE BUTTHURT IS IMMENSE KEKEKEKEKEK!
this is simpsons bad tier
What TV shows would /tv/ recommend to fill the void since breaking bad and sopranos ended? Ive already watched better call saul and true detective but havent found anything else on par with the former two
This is the Blair Witch.
Tokyo Drifter or Branded to kill?
Can Netflix shows be nominated for Emmys? If so, why? They don't air on television, so how can they be considered television shows? Where is the line drawn between what constitutes a web series and what constitutes a television show if not the fact that it does or does not air on television. What separates Netflix from something like Youtube Red?
This is especially confusing when you consider that the Emmy Awards are split into separate categories for daytime and primetime series. How the fuck can nominate something like Stranger Things or House of Cards for a primetime...
