what are some essential movies set in the renaissance/illustration periods?
Have you ever fapped to this?
FACT: There are almost no great time-travel movies.
Lets count them all:
- Terminator 2
- Back to the Future
- 12 Monkeys
thats it. those are the only truly great time travel-movies. Everything else is like, not really that great. This is a shame. There should be more.
I hate this meme. This movie was fucking trash. The plot was completely illogical and the story was needlessly predictable. Fuck this garbage movie and the people who rant about how great it was.
He actually said this.
Hey /tv/, what have you bought recently?
>1vs1 against a gorilla
>actually stands his ground
so, /tv/, i've been thinking about this for a while. Where do you browse your movie posters?
This is one of the coolest ive found in a while. I dont care how old the movie is, but i dont always like the new minimalistic ones.
Also; movie poster thread
I browse most of them on here
What's some Drug Cartel kino?
This fucking IDIOT single handedly ruined the hobbit movie. How did peter jackson fuck those movies up that badly after the majesty of the LOTR?
Conan filmed a segment in front of a gay nightclub and everyone is offended
Sauron is like the archetypal evil overlord. He's got massive armies of monsters. He has a headquarters made of volcanoes. And, he did... you know, he did all of those... things. And... And what exactly? Do tell me, because throughout the entire 2000-hour run of the Jackson trilogy, I couldn't find a single reason why everyone demonized Sauron like he was a Obama at a Tea Party rally
Because he was taken in by the Middle Earth equivalent of Lucifer and tutored by him, but instead of hating the creations of Eru (God) and wanting to destroy his creations, he instead just wanted to dominate and enslave all of creation within Middle Earth, and twist it to his own ends.
That understandably annoyed people on Middle Earth, and the various shenanigans Sauron brought upon them compelled them to act against them.
Please make it happen Britbongs.

I just watched the first episode and I'm not sure if it's worth continuing
I'm not a big fan of the premise of the series so far with a washed up ex tv show star type of thing,
if I wanted to watch rich people bitch about their lives I could just watch some woody allen movies
also most jokes didn't do much for me
does it get better or is this what I can expect for the rest?
If I remember correctly I also didn't enjoy the first episode very much but was thoroughly entertained by episode 3 and onward.
Season 3 feels a bit forced but 1 and 2 are great. I recommend continuing OP.

huh. what did they mean by this?
I'm trying desperately to see the value in this show, I just don't get why it's being received SO positively.
I'm 50/50 as fuck on it. Like, most of the characters were interesting because they ended up being less one note as the series progressed. The acting except for Winona Ryder was overall pretty fucking great. And the a e s t h e t i c was well done and an engrossing callback to 80s style film-making.
But there is so much shit that I just can't fucking get behind. The story feels like its been done a million times especially if you've...
