What are some of those movies / tv shows that got mediocre/shitty reviews, but you absolutely love? Pic related for me
Man, I think I need to rewatch that movie. I vaguely remember the scene where they're standing in front of some minotaur maze shit and a conehead rolls down the steps, and that's literally all I remember.
Can we discuss Barry Lyndon? I feel like this is the most underrated work of Kubrick.
It's rated plenty high among the sources that matter. Just because the shitty 14 year olds whose top 10 is flooded with genreshit sci fi and crime dramas don't love it en masse, doesn't mean it's not adequately rated. It's hardly underrated. You're just paying attention to the wrong people.
Barry Lyndon is what you say your favorite Kubrick movie is, if you want to try and impress your friend who went to film school that you're terribly jealous of ever since you dropped out of community college after a semester.
May I have the password, please?
Just watched 3 episode of this.
And have one question. If she is a strong female superhero - why she get fucked in every episode?
>Return Of The Jedi almost had a completely different ending. George Lucas toyed with the idea that after Luke witnesses The Emperor's death, he puts his cloak on, proclaims “Now I am Sheev” and morphs into him.
>Alien almost had a completely different ending. Ridley Scott toyed with the idea that after Ripley kills the xenomorph, she puts on it's head, proclaims “Now I am Alien” and morphs into it.
As a huge fan of horror movies I got to say this was one of the worst movies I've seen in my life. Can someone explain why the huge vibe?
Because Rotten Tomatoes isn't good at reviewing movies.
Did that have liberal messages scattered throughout in an only slightly subtle way? Then it's a masterpiece and gets 95% or higher.
Is this worth watching? I'm really digging the retro 80's aesthetic desu
I gave it a chance last night and watched a few episodes, the style is very nice but the show is not terribly funny and all the effort on the animation seems to have went into the background and world, the characters move rigidly and are generally poorly animated.
This movie is shit
Why did you lie to me /tv/?
What's the appeal of these movies?
Is she a decent actress?
She was great in both Cloud of Sils Maria and Welcome to the Rileys. I think her level of performance is quite dependent on the content she is given... if the film is obvious garbage (such as Huntsman or the Twilight series) than she is the steaming shit of the pile.
ITT: Actors / Actresses that have aged like a fine wine
Not "aged", but he definitely un-JUSTed himself
what actor looks like he would be able to survive a fallout like future?
What's your favorite sci-fi film
Doing a James Bond marathon with my lady.
I saw most of them as a child. What's your favourite Bond film? Fav actor?
Fave: on her majesty's secret service
Best actor: Timothy Dalton
Not sure about favorite film, Im TRYING to watch them again.. trying...
Favorite actor is Dalton, I just watched both his movies and am depressed he didn't get to make more.
I TRIED watching Moore's Live and Let Die after the Dalton.. but.. ugh... the 70s...
Good theme song though:
Keep listening to this one...
the first few are objectively the best of 60s cool. Flawlessly beautiful women, exceptional clothes and music, sharp and brutal films where Bond abuses everyone and doesn't give a shit. Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger all quality.
The campy ones with Roger Moore are entertaining and have some of the best theme songs. All the Brosnan ones have aged like milk, terrible 90s blockbuster explosions everywhere. The Craig ones are just boring, probably because he has no sex appeal.
So you really will start on a high with the first 3, then laugh during the...
