Holy shit this film is so bad, they somehow made every character unlikeable
especially the little girl, she's like tumblr as a kid, they butchered the book honestly.
I agree. I do not understand why people defend this movie so; It's irredeemable.
>Whole plot is "Tom Cruise runs around avoiding death with his worthless family"
>His family is the definition of baggage, contribute nothing and only create problems
>Wind up in Tim Robbins' house for a thirty minute stretch of nonsense
>Spielberg clearly thought he had the next Drew Barrymore...

Yeah that one scene where the camera is pointed at Tom Cruise turning a steering wheel a comical amount of times was a fantastic setpiece. Also the scene where they're hiding in a house from spooky lights. Fantastic.
Harrison Ford with the new "Part Time"
This was absolutely the peak of the entire franchise.
There is no debate.
Just watched this movie and thought it was neat. I think I've seen a thread about it before, but didn't look at it as I didn't want to spoil anything.
The ending was a bit meh, but the rest of the film was pretty solid. It didn't try too hard to sound clever or anything.
yeah it's a great thriller that doesn't need much brain power to deconstruct.
As a fa/g/ I loved their cryptographic key solution (the unique box). That's a smarter concept than anything I've seen in sci-fi for the past decade, and they make it sound so simple.
shame about the Brendon JUST though
Is adventure time getting worse or is it just me?should i be watching it?or do i have a 12 year old soul?is it hip?what is hip?help.
Don't watch AT like you would a regular show, meaning once a week or just all together. If you catch an episode of the cartoon every once and a while, then just watch it, chuckle or shrug your shoulders, you'll be fine. This isn't the sort of shit you watch regularly unless you want to be a tumblr-tier manchild, but if you just happen to catch it while its on, then it's okay.
I mean, it's a kid's show, no matter how ~deep~ and ~mature~ people try to make it.
I stopped one hour in, its boring as hell.
Why the hype?
Favourite episodes of Trailer Park Boys?
fuck you i liked it
any good ?
Both Ridley Scott and Clint Eastwood released their biggest box office hits in the twilight of their lives in The Martian and American Sniper, respectively. They will likely never top this success for the rest of what little life they have.
How is this possible?
>How is this possible?
I don't understand the question. Are you asking how is it possible that they will never top their success? Because you answered that yourself; they won't live long enough.
Just got around to watching and what the hell am i watching? Is there a lost SG-1 episode where they raided Battlestar Galactica and stole their entire production crew?
Don't get me wrong, the effects and production quality are amazing and much better than the other SG series. The show is quite watchable, it just seems like it has nothing to do with the SG franchise.
Atlantis being cancelled sucked, so many lose ends. Like unresolved Genii dickery, unresolved Wraith Civil war, Space Marine Asguard and this glorious mother fucker right here.
I liked the show better than any tv scifi since to be honest, despite all its flaws. It's a shame the franchise died and now we have all fucking b-tier scifi on the "psy-fi" channel. This guy was great and always caused a lot of butthurt while he was also the only one with a brain.
You're walking down the street and this guy offers you DMT. What do you say?
Why are you not watching this right now.
Are the other movies in the series worth watching?
All of them except the AVPs are legitimately worth watching from an aesthetic perspective, and if you like watching space people getting eviscerated by a parasite. Whether or not they're good is debatable. Personally:
Alien > Alien 3 > Aliens > Prometheus > Alien: Resurrection >>>>>>> AVP > AVP: Requiem
First of all Alien is a flm. Aliens is a bad movie. Alien 3 is a mediocre film. A:R is a terrible flick.
I'd say leave it at the first movie. But if you do make the mistake of watching Aliens make sure you jump right into 3 because that fixes a lot of the bullshit that Cameron pulled to ruin the franchise. Never watch Resurrection.
Who else is really hyped here?
