ITT: that one movie you were looking forward to but turned up to be huge pile of shit
>"turned up to be huge pile of shit"
>"turned up to be"
> Black Mass
> Didn't see in theaters, but Jurassic World
> Kek Wars
> Mad Max Furiosa
> Ant Man
Pretty much every movie in the past 5 years has been shit. It's just rehashed Hollywood garbage for the low IQ population who need to see just visuals and no substance.
Now that Hollywood are obsessed with chasing big box office revenues in the Far East, will we see more and more slitty-eyed actors shoved into movies?
It's already begun.
I realise the source material included a "China saves the day" sub-plot, but you just know the studio emphasised "China must have a prominent role" before the script was written for the movie.
>It's like a novel
Just saw this. Nothing too special. It's gorgeously shot. A lot of fantastic moments of staging, lyricism, framing. Drags on a bit. Score is heavy-handed and grating. Redmayne is fantastic, probably gonna get a second nomination. Best part of this film is that it triggered tumblr, though.
Anyone else see this?
Why did the X-files have so many soon to be famous guest stars?
Just off the top of my head.
the episode I'm watching now has pams boyfriend from the office
Andrea from the walking dead
I know there are more too. Did other shows with guest stars have lots of soon to be famous people too and I just didn't notice?
Pretty much every person who was on Mr Show went on to have amazing careers.
Seinfeld has lots of guest stars who blew up later (including Cranston).
I don't watch a lot of procedurals, but Law & Order has guest stars weekly so I'm positive you'll run into this in that series...
Honestly, though, this isn't a phenomenon. It's the business. No one is giving you a lead role until you build a resume with guest spots. Every famous TV actor ever did parts in multiple series before landing their own.
I've watched the first like 6 seasons probably at least 3 times over, but I've never finished the entire series. I really need to finish it one of these days....
also CSM and skinner were the best characters
>Its an 'Anakin interrupts everyone and makes viewers and characters alike highly uncomfortable' episode
Has anyone else tried to use the force? Did anything happen. I was trying to move an object w my mind for a full hour once
The thing is if you try to use the force on candle light it actually works. So you know that the mind has some tiny bit of impact.
How are the brain waves transmitted? do you move the air and then the object moves with that moving air? do you move the molecules actually forming the object? how does the energy required to do that gets to the molecules?
I was once wearing ship in a gale once and without thinking stuck my hand out to catch a rope that the rock of the ship was sending towards me. It was the next rope that needed hauled and it felt uncannily like the force. Was awesome.
WHAT YEAR IS IT?
Just catched Groundhog Day here on TV in my country .. and I'm wondering.. is there any more movies with this 'repeating the same day' theme? Not as good as Groundhog Day for sure.. but gimme some suggestions. I love time travel movies .. and this theme is sort of time travel ..
>WHAT KIND OF PUBICITY DO YOU WANT SENPAI?
JUST END IT
JUST FUCK IT UP
Why was Episode 6 called 'Return of the Jedi' when the Jedi didn't return? Luke didnt bring back the Jedi Order after all, as we all know because of the events of Episode 7. Also, the title "The Force Awakens" is similar to Return of the Jedi, except including the dark side as well.
Is Fox News the only decent 24-hour news network?
