Listening to the Alien soundtrack for the first time and absolutely loving it. What are /tv/'s favorite movie soundtracks?
Most of the Miyazaki movies I can watch over and over again because of Joe Hisaishi's scores. On the subject of JP composers also Yuji Ohno who did Castle of Cagliostro and most of the Lupin III music.
Also Hans Zimmer is great, a really underrated score by him was A League of their Own.
Lion King soundtrack is perfect while on mushrooms
The Revenant, even though it is a massively overrated movie, has an amazing soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
John Carpenters Halloween is a classic, got to see him live a couple weeks ago, was amazing
What does the "D'or" mean ?
What other actors do you think get lost in MOST of their characters (not just 1 movie or actors that just play themselves)
Sucker Punch (Extended Cut) was a treatise on the objectification of women as seen through the eyes of various nerd subcultures. The prism by which the movie is shown self reflects to the viewer their own ugliness.
It's a hypnotizing take on psychological trauma. It cleverly turns it into an esoteric, theatrical, fantasy extravaganza. Its own nakedness makes people feel shameful and uncomfortable.
It's a movie that literally hates its own audience and spits on them.
>"“I wanted to rub the human race in its own vomit, and force it to look in the mirror.”" - J.G. Ballard
If that isn't true kino, I don't fucking know what is.
>You are wrong about Sucker Punch by The Escapist
>You Don't Understand Sucker Punch by Antisocial Commentary
at the end of the day even if this is all true who the fuck cares, same with spring breakers, i went in to see hot girls and that's what i got, if "It's a movie that literally hates its own audience and spits on them" who cares? i got what i wanted. literally as stupid as feminists "protesting" by showing her tits, thanks for the tits
Can a Cucknisher fan (a fan of The Punisher) explain how 3 different directors couldn't make a single good movie of The Punisher?
What is fundamentally wrong with your favorite character or what is it that the movies just can't deliver?
>not liking based Dolph
That's your fault, OP. Out of everyone to play the character so far, only Dolph is physically imposing enough to walk into a room and make everyone shit their pants.
And it's got ninjas, dude. Punisher vs. Ninjas. If you can't get into that, the problem is yours, not the movie's.
Part of the problem with making a Punisher movie is that his story is one of an ongoing, unending war, and it's maybe hard to convey that in two hours while also providing a self-contained story arc.
How do you make a satisfying movie that also shows that wiping out a given crime syndicate is really just another month's work for Frank? That once his injuries are healed, he'll go out and find a new target and do it again?
Why did the snake thank Harry here?
Anyone seen this? Reviews are so mixed but respectable critics seem to like it
ITT: superior sitcoms
just went through mad about you first season and it is really great.
what are other god-tier sitcoms from the 90s?
Another Wednesday is here, which means a new episode of Tyrant, which starts in about 20 minutes or so. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed last week's episode. With that said, tonight's episode is titled "Cockroach":
>Barry discovers that he only has a tenuous hold over Abuddin; Sammy embarks on a risky relationship; Ihab seeks revenge; Fauzi returns and gets thrust into a political role; Molly's visit to a military hospital goes awry.
Looks like quite the loaded episode, but it only runs for an hour and five. Sadly,...

Premier is in 12 hours (for many states/theaters)
Post your local theaters
Just get a bunch of hacks to write positive reviews to show those stinky misoginnists and feminism wins XD
It's the perfect plan because Sony is a bastion of integrity and it's not like they've been caught doing the same exact thing in the past XD
>getting upset about people actually doing their job to clean up a theater after a screening
What, are the employees just supposed to stand there while the patrons do their jobs for them?
Why are millennials so pathetic that they think they shouldn't have to clean this mess up even if they are employed as staff and receive a paycheck to do so?
Remember, cleaning up is the staff's job, not yours. You aren't getting a paycheck to keep the place clean. They are. Let them clean up the theater after you.
i have a great job with high prestige because i work damn hard and make good money. at the theaters i feel obligated to make a mess, for three reasons
one it makes me laugh and gives me happiness.
secondly it gives the employee work to do they wont get anywhere lazing around all day.
and third before all else it feels necessary to create a mess for someone of that low stature,
they've accomplished nothing in life and deserved to be treated like the fucking peasants that they are.
Do you guys put your boogers on the back of the seat in front of you? Sometimes there is a qt with long hair draping over the back so I glue her hair to the back of her seat. This one time, she turned around after getting up with a disgusted look on her face at the end of the film. I just said that these fuckers can't bother to clean the damn theater after charging $10 for popcorn and $5 for a bottle of water (I'm not a soda drinker). She stormed out out, brought back the manager, and he fired two of the ushers working that section of the theater.
What are you expecting at this point?
Give me your best and worst case scenarios.
I just want to turn my brain off bro and watch Darth vader do some cool stuff. Don't care one bit about the rest of it, it looks like dumb bullshit. I won't be watching in theaters, I'll pirate it
If you have any ms paint renditions I would be pleased
So if everyone knows that the kid Lollys was carrying was born of her gangrape at the hands of peasents, and that she is disturbingly close to taking head of her house in the line of succession despite being mentally disabled, why the fuck did nobody just slip her some moontea or whatever to abort it?
Wouldn't that be both the logical AND kind thing? Like holy fuck pregnancy is hard on regular women, it must have been painful as hell on a simple-minded one dealing with rape-induced PTSD

Oh no wait, that's just the fucking show.
Bugs the fuck out of me, can't bring myself to watch this annoying show. But from what I've heard I'm really not missing much, so that's okay. I do love Christian Slater though.
RATE. DISCUSS. WATCH
>think there's a trashcan on the way out?

Spoilers from the premiere screenings.
The USS Enterprise is on its five year exploratory mission in Space. Kirk is offered a promotion to Vice-Admiral and begins questioning his motives for joining the Enterprise. Spock also finds out Spock Prime died and decides to resign from the Starfleet to lead New Vulcan.
The Enterprise docks on Yorktown, a legendary Starfleet outpost in deep space with its own artificial gravity. They leave with some minerals when they're attacked by the Swarm and the Enterprise is destroyed, forcing them all to eject and crash-land...
