has /tv/ seen the best film of 2015 yet?
That GOAT Ending!
A harmless kids space movie or something altogether more sinister?
How long before all males are rounded up and systematically castrated?
>How long before all males are rounded up and systematically castrated?
Not soon enough imo
>TFA $8m DOMESTIC TUESDAY (DOWN 73%), $13m OVERSEAS TUESDAY (DOWN 66%)
It can't keep crashing this hard.
TIL When Matt LeBlanc auditioned for the role of Joey in "Friends" he only had $11 dollars to his name. When the cast got their paychecks, the first thing that Courteney Cox bought was a car. Matt LeBlanc bought a hot dinner.
"In the late 1980s, Le Blanc began appearing in a number of television ads, including well-known spots for Heinz, Levi's and Coca-Cola. Matt has said that with one ketchup commercial he was able to buy a house, a car, a motorcycle, and a wardrobe full of clothes."
"In the early 1950s, Le Blanc began appearing in a number of television ads, including well-known spots for Heinz, Levi's and Coca-Cola. Matt has said that with one ketchup commercial he was able to buy a 5 story super mansion, a yacht, a jet, and a wardrobe full of diamonds."
>Luke, I am your mother's husband.
Why were the majority of the crew/scientists in this film women?
What's your favorite theory about the movie?
Do you have a theory on what its about?
Anyone else find it amusing that Kubrick exclusively attracts conspiracy cucks, those who spend their lives looking for meaning and narratives that just don't exist?
No? Nevermind then.
I wanna talk about a very /tv/ related aspect of American pro sports, especially the NFL:
How scripted is this shit?
(pic related: Bears won this game in GB, an almost complete impossibility)
I believe it is scripted only to the point where superstar teams with a lot of talent who would probably win anyway are given easier schedules.
I think this will be proven when Peyton Manning is not suspended for life despite taking illegal drugs.
I wish Jay Cutler would just live up to his potential again. The season where he took us to the Conference game was fucking great. The dude is off most of the time but when he is on, he is fucking ON.
He is one of the bigger busts in NFL QB history, if not for Rex Grossman he would certainly be the most disappointing performance by a Bears QB
Is he still alive?
>canonically, Han Solo is 14 in ANH
>TFA takes place like 30 years later and Han is already an old man
Orson Welles was 25 when he made Citizen Kane.
What's your excuse?
Will this be MOTY?
is it true Ridley Scott stole Giger from jodorowsky?
Jodorowsky was a worthless mexican meme director.
Just because he had a good idea doesn't mean shit.
The world is full of good ideas that never amount to anything. They're literally a dime a dozen.
Why did Han or anyone else believe the Jedi and the Sith were a myth?
Not believing in the Force and dismissing it as mumbo-jumbo is sort of understandable, but the Jedi and Sith are historical figures that fought in wars in living memory.
Did Chewbacca never tell Han any war stories about Yoda? Did people miss the fact that the Jedi were big deals in the News during the Clone Wars and were wanted criminals afterwards? Did Rey think all those history books and news reports were fake?
There were only about 10,000 Jedi in a galaxy of quadrillions. Most people only heard stories about them that would sound like myths to your average joe. Han and Admiral Motti aren't doubting that Jedi existed as an institution, they just think they were crazy old monks who had no real power. It's not like the Clone Wars had war correspondents, most of the galaxy would have never seen them in action.
It would have been even worse if they had kid Han hanging out with Yoda in episode III as Lucas originally intended
Say it with me: Palpatine.
His name is Emperor Palpatine. Not Sheev. Sheev sounds like ghetto slang for shit. Whoever decided that Palpatine needed a shit name needs to be electrocuted.
