Now that the dust has settled, what went so, so right?
>Star Wars is my baby, not theirs. I enriched their childhoods and all I get is hate. Without Star Wars their lives would be as empty as outer space.
- George Lucas radio interview in 2011.
What is the objective ranking of the bond films?
there is no objective ranking, opinions among Bond fans are vary considerably.
However The Spy Who Loved Me is literally, undeniably, irrefutably the GOAT
whole Rogue One and most of the Rebel fleet fucking dies by the end
Vader has like 5 minutes of screentime but his presence alone is the highlight of the film.
The orange (((totally not Trump))) alien...it's true, all of it
There's a metric shitton of Ep.4 and Rebels references so new EU haters will be absolutely seething
Overall it was ok, 7.5/10
>You don't think I'm a hack, do you anon?
A young Director named JJ Abrams, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped Disney hunt down and destroy the franchise. He betrayed and murdered my movies.
George Lucas does
3 > 2 > 1 > 5 > 4 > 6 > dog poo > Nostalgia Wars: The Reddit Awakens

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a frog when posting, but your frog has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your frog when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a frog when it isn't necessary is poor form. What is the best performance ever given in a bad film? I am thinking it's pic related.
Geoffry Rush is great in these otherwise dogshit movies.
I'm really bored and I heard this show is fantastic
Is it overrated? Am I wasting my time?
Not one day goes by without me thinking of how much i hate Malick and his plebeian fans.
Shoot some trees, slap some narration over and have babbies first philosophy themes. Add some "muh nature" and you got a flick that these braindead total plebs will eat up. While accusing everyone else of not "getting it"
I get it. I hate them because i get it and know how simple and "false" his films really are. I hate you because you think you are patrician for watching this shit, while not watching real cinema
Your mistake is in intellectualizing these films, when they're not intended to be cerebral. I enjoy Tree of Life the same way someone might enjoy a Monet painting. It's evocative and beautiful. There's nothing to "get"; you either enjoy the aestetic or you don't.
I think it would be fascinating to see how various ex-Imperials adapted to the peace, taking different paths that didn't go to the First Order (note the total absence of old men in the resurgent Empire's officer corps).
Yeah, I would have liked to see some Space Prussians in the new Star Wars lead by an Admiral Thrawn like character against another faction of imperials like the first order lead by religious fanatics. I've always hated the rebels, but never quite liked the evil old wizard emperor and his heartless chief of police either.
I want to see the real Imperial remnant show up and start shooting down the First Order Star Destroyers, in a sort of "damn kids get off my lawn" sort of thing.
Also since there isn't a republic any more, we need something to fight them.
How did Mark Hamill unfuck his shit so hard?
How the fuck did this become the highest grossing movie of all time while leaving literally zero cultural impact?
>DUDE BIG SUIT LMAO
was this the most reddit movie of all time?
I used to love this special when I was a kid. I tried watching it recently and it is just really awful. Very boring, very preachy, terrible voice acting, very slow, awful music (especially the grating out of tune children singing). I could go on honestly. What does everyone see in it? Is it just nostalgia from when they were younger like I had?
Post quintessential Christmas movies.
>You're Bruce Willis and The Supreme Being falls unconscious in your arms for a couple hours
what do you do?
>a literal, perfect, virginal woman will never fall in your arms and fall in love with you
That's it. Gotta rewatch all the good bits of the 5th Element now. The soundtrack is just pure kino.
>2 1/2 stars on Netflix
What the fuck is wrong with people?
>The director of “Rogue One,” Gareth Edwards, has stepped into a mythopoetic stew so half-baked and overcooked, a morass of pre-instantly overanalyzed implications of such shuddering impact to the series’ fundamentalists, that he lumbers through, seemingly stunned or constrained or cautious to the vanishing point of passivity, and lets neither the characters nor the formidable cast of actors nor even the special effects, of which he has previously proved himself to be a master, come anywhere close to life.
I typically watch sports, action movies, and other typical guy shit. Why did I think this movie was so good?
because you have good taste
Though I couldn't stand the film "Match Point", which Allen himself said it was one of the best scripts he wrote. It feels so....artificial and doesn't feel like Allen had his hand in it.
because even guys can appreciate well written romance drama. RomComs are cancer due to how shitty the writing is, Allen is very good with characters and writing about relationships and that's why VCB works.
There, I saved you 10 dollars.
After what has been named the most ludicrous bid war on script buying history the winner of it all is none other than reknown comedian Bill Burr, as of yesterday the soon to be director has locked the rights for what will be the long awaited "Rocko's Modern Life" film adaptation, there's no official word on the casting as of yet but it all seems to indicate that Mr. Burr himself will take the role of the iconic character "Rocko".
No Deputy Garcia from Reno 911!
What did he mean by this?
Is Joe Rogain the most Red-pilled entertainer?
GIVE UP SHEEV, WE HAVE THE HIGH GROUND
The only thing Sheev could do here was emulate his apprentice, the cunning warrior Anakin, and try spinning. With his high midichlorian count this good trick easily outmatched the high ground advantage of three highly trained Jedi Masters
>I didn't go to film school, I went to films
What did he honestly mean by this? That's like saying "I didn't learn how to cook, I ate food."
I guess you can learn about camera angles, editing, and lighting from films, but you can't learn practical set design and things like that. But when the fuck has quentin ever needed set design in his films, they are all live action
point is, if you're an intelligent man you don't need a professor to tell you what's going on in a film in terms of pacing, editing, character development, etc.
Here it is !
Doo Uh Da Doo Da Doo Da Doo Ugh Dee Doo Oh Dee Doo Dee Doo Dee Doo Da Doo Da Doo Da
Just saw that one yesterday and busted a gut laughing
what the fuck
and then the reviews:
>An impressive film about an important topic
