Pre-Match Discussion and Game Thread
Who /hopingforcomfinesstodistractfromextremeloneliness/ here?
What went so horribly
Both shows fucking suck massive balls and niether of them can recreate the Top Gear Feel with the 3 stooges at the helm.
TGUK with Redhead was just fuck aweful in every way
TGT is just a top gear live! type show with some oldschool segments thrown in and the gags are lame and boring already and its only the 2nd episode?
Has Carkino officially come to a end? Youtube puts out better content even fucking motortrends shows SHIT all over both of these
the gags were always boring and lame.
clarkson has to be the least offensive man who has been accused of causing the most offence ever.
I only watched it for the specials and now I'm drawn in for the super cars ever since I started driving.
Why hasn't she won an Oscar yet?
How was this shit ever popular? It's literally the same episode every single time, the pacing of the drama (that's the only thing anybody gives a shit about) is terrible and the plot only moves forward when somebody dies. House is a lunatic who is far from the brilliant mastermind everybody in the show makes him out to be and medically the show makes zero sense.
Why is House, who is a diagnostician, present during OR FUCKING PERFORMING surgery ranging from heart and brain surgery to fucking transplants?
So would this actually work?
I should have seen this coming. It's not going to be warkino.
It's going to be a quipfest.
Here's what we know so far:
- A "major studio" has bought the rights. They are to make a big announcement real soon now.
- This will be a TV series.
- Sony Television held talks with Harriet McDougal (Robert Jordan's widow and chief executor of the Estate) and Red Eagle in 2014.
Here's the text of the original announcement from 28 April 2016 in full:
>Update: Wanted to share with you exciting news about The Wheel of Time. Legal issues have been resolved. The Wheel of Time will become a cutting edge TV series!...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Are western audiences intelligent enough to understand the nuances of Japanese television?
Why do Japanese shows always have so much text on screen?
Defiant best ship. Enterprise fags get rekt.
Post em /tv/
Ive always loved Cyrus' voice, havent yet found a speech/voice with a similar sound
bonus, not really a speech but Danny's films always have some good music
A Fistful of Dynamite is the best title for that movie - the other two aren't even in the running. And Chimes at Midnight is a much better title than Falstaff. What are some other movies you can't believe have also been known by objectively worse titles?
What was his major malfunction?
All the bullying was designed to make him into a better soldier, it worked, but he had a mental break. The abandonment of all friendship with nothing but military drills running in his mind.
He just went loopy.
This. Ironically all he needed to rectify his mistake of smuggling the doughnut was a public shaming in front of his squadmates. It was them hazing him afterwards that broke him more than anything. Sgt Hartman had been training recruits well for years and knew what he was doing. Pyle's death was on the recruits' hands, not Hartman's.
what is some revenge kino?
damn it I'm going to be dragged to rogue one. fuck.
You have two options, move the fuck out, or grow a spine and tell him you're not going.
And just for extra guilt, when you don't go with him he has a brutal heart attack halfway through the movie, and to think, all he wanted to do was enjoy a movie with his son but he died alone cuz you want to see all cool and hate Star Wars like your pals on the 4 chinz do.
left or right?
>it's been 2 years
(Jumps around frenetically on stage, gesturing wildly)
>Ho Ho Hoo Hoo Ha Ha Hee Hee Ah, Ho!
My reaction the entire time, pic related
Did you like Pulp Fiction?
The dialogue gets less and less impressive the more you watch it. Tarantino has the mind of a ducking middle schooler, it all feels forced and tacky but people eat it up because it's 'cool'
There's the kind of person who watches pulp fiction to have a bit of violent fun, like a youtube poop but for cinema
Then there's the type who owns a Bad mother fucker wallet and starts sentences with "Hell, "
>dude weed lmao
Why the fuck would anyone side with this guy over Barnes? Sure, Barnes is a little rough around the edges but he kept his guys alive. War is no place for pot smoking idealistic hippies.
Elias would hump your sorry bleeding ass back from the edge of Cambodia and get you home safe
Barnes would leave you to bleed out in a ditch
Anyone who has actually been in service sees this clear as day, Barnes is only a hero to teen edgelords too obtuse to even get Oliver Stone polemics.
What do you think of the CW network, /tv/?
Best DC content available which is actually piss-your-pants hilarious when you realize its a network that panders to teens and middle-aged people who want to be teens.
Seriously, shows like The Flash would be so much better if CW would just drop the teen romance angst drama angle.
>Went to see pic related.
>Buying tickets, guy asks me what I want to watch.
>Say "Hacksaw Ridge please"
>He says "Are you sure?" and does some sort of grimace
I still watched the movie but literally what did he mean by this?
What did /tv/ think of this
>scenes in the trailer aren't in the movie
I was bummed to realize that this sci fi futuristic comfy setting wasn't featured in the movie at all.
What if he hadnt died?
He'd be making the same vapid, shitty movies as Adam Sandler.
He'd probably still be lying on the floor, too lazy to get up.
Would this still have received 5 Oscar wins and 2 more nominations if it were released today? What would other critics think of it?
Watched this on VHS last week. Still holds up well today, but people want more jumpscares instead of getting extremely uncomfortable anymore.
