Where are all the other spaceships?
I hate when directors leave the possibility to audience to sympathize for bad characters
bad guys MUST be bad guys.. what kind of message is "oh yeah, he's a twisted psychopath but he's sort of cool, see?"
I want movies where bad guys are BAD, UNRELATABLE
i want movies where good is good, bad is bad, is that asking too much?
these edgy directors piss me off so much
So what you're saying is instead of accurate depictions of reality, all dramatised fiction should substitute real emotion and character depth for shallow polarised notions of good and evil?
Sounds pretty childish desu senpai
Unrelatable evil is weak evil.
>either the guy is just mentally unstable, and perceived as weak
>or he's a fucking idiot, which is also perceived as weak
A villain is best, to me, when I can understand what he wants while disagreeing with his methods. All else is childish bullshit that belongs in a fairy tale.
I can relate to Hitler because I know his reasons. It doesn't make him less interesting, it makes him more interesting.
I want badass villains who simply aren't pussies. I don't know of any qualifying villain so far, it's like Hollywood doesn't know how to write them.
How was he the villain?
He did literally nothing wrong.
Also why is nobody discussing The Revenant on this board?
>Let's just say I put them in a hole and threw away the hole
How do you throw away a hole?
I'm trying to introduce my wife's son to Star Wars. What's the best order for me to show them to him?
Quality of the film aside, 90% of the criticisms of this film have included, or exclusively been, "this made my kid cry", and in the age of the internet, this is probably the single most disastrous word of mouth I can imagine for a children's film.
Mothers who don't usually put their statuses or tweets up about movies aren't just saying the movie was bad, they are telling others to actively avoid it out of some moral imperative to protect the children of others.
I think most of us here have rather fond memories of children's media...

Did they both forget who Anakin Skywalker actually is?
What went wrong?
>she went through an edgy phase when she was 15
Kek. I wish we had more emberassing childhood stuff of other Star Wars actors
What's the fastest you've ever dropped a TV show?
How is it possible for one man to make both the best trilogy ever and worst?
So Brendan got in touch with Mark Hamill's barber. How does it feel, /tv/? How does it feel to unfuck Brendan's seemingly unfuckable shit? We may begin 2016 as proud men. As men that singlehandedly helped Brendan to unfuck his shit.
I got The Entire Mystery boxset for Christmas so I started watching again
>mfw getting comfy with Coop
Twin Peaks thread
What was his fucking problem exactly?
Was he molested as a child?
Just marathon'd episodes 1-6 of Star Wars and here is the final ranking. I watched chronologically to avoid any "muh nostalgia" or "they ruined so and so".
It seems to be generational. I prefer the OT but my wife's son who is 11 year olds clearly prefer the prequels with the exception of clones which he think is pretty dull. He loves Mace Windu though.
